Now, the business has been passed down to his eldest son, Poh Ping, who has opened a bigger shop within a nearby shoplot. He handcrafts every piece of furniture in the shop himself without the use of technology.

The shop name, Rotan Asli, conveys a clear and simple message. "Rotan" translates to "rattan" in Bahasa Melayu, and "asli" indicates that the rattan materials are sourced from the Orang Asli community. Within the store, you'll discover a wide assortment of rattan furniture, encompassing chairs, bar stools, coffee tables, and an array of accessories, including baskets, birdcages, and pendant lamps. Aside from furniture, they also offer furniture customization and repair services. Moreover, the pricing is reasonable, and there's room for negotiation to get the best deal!
