Cue the soothing music, the calming scent of lemongrass, and the ultra-luxe facilities; There’s nothing like a visit to a spa to unwind a weary body.
Unfortunately, it's not everyday that we can afford to pamper ourselves. So, rather than saving up for expensive packages, these 9 homes chose to incorporate a luxury spa look, right in their bathrooms! With lavish interiors and state-of-the-art features, bathing has never looked (and felt) this good.
1. If you can’t go to Japan for its famed Onsen spas, bring the Onsen experience back to you, just like this home’s outdoor bathroom. Natural stone floors and bamboo-plant partitions provide zen-like privacy, flanking the main highlight - a wooden, mini sauna to sweat out your toxins in.

2. Is this a Turkish hammam or a bathroom? We can’t tell. Sheathed almost entirely in white marble, this stunning space, with its stark and uncluttered accessories is evocative of modern Turkish public baths. The shower cum toilet area is positively minimal too, freeing up space which we imagine could double as a stylish hot room.

3. Awkward corners and small spaces? No problem. Playing a home’s angled walls to its advantage, this curved, elongated bathroom is separated into two distinct spaces. Subdued beige tiles by a brick feature wall add to the space’s tranquil, homely feel; The sink area also serves as a dramatic walkway towards the shower, reminding us of winding corridors in certain spa centres.

4. Being one with nature definitely helps to instil calm in the mind and body. Surrounded by leafy foliage, this bath area plays on a jaw-dropping view that rivals even the best resorts! Natural textures, like the slate tiles and wooden shelving in clean, minimal shapes blend well with the overall greenery; Likewise, they help to bring focus to an inviting bathtub that’s perfect for a quiet, pensive soak.

5. This bathroom is decked with everything you could need for a pampering cleanse. Contemporary fixtures clad in muted, wood-grain marble exude an upscale, city-spa vibe. Meanwhile, users can choose between doing a quick scrub by its standalone shower unit, or enjoying a languid wash by the bathtub (which features jacuzzi-style pulsating jets!).

It’s all in the details - Contemporary fittings such as the statement-making burnished wood sink pair well with the bathroom’s cement tiles, creating an ultra sleek look. Moreover, the use of spotlights and soft cove lights help to elicit an posh, intimate feel.

Of course, rustic textures, in the form of an uneven stone feature wall and stone sink help to highlight on its exotic theme, giving the space a raw, outdoorsy charm as well.

8. Now, here’s something you don’t see very often, even in spas. Partially exposed to the elements, the lack of surrounding walls promotes ventilation and lends an airy vibe to this resort-style bathroom. A classic spa palette of polished cream tiles and mahogany-coloured fittings is also given an interesting twist with the addition of a spectacular sunken bathtub.

Nordic influences prevail, from the honey-coloured timber to the understated furniture and bathroom accessories awash in white. Sip on some herbal tea as you relax by the comfy ottomans, or enter one of two luxurious shower rooms for a satisfying scrub down.
