A Fun and Modern Home To Live In

May 28, 2015

This spacious maisonette at Sunset Way gives the designer lots of room to play. Fulfilling the requirements of its owners who are voracious readers, Fuse Concept built lots of shelf space for the hundreds of books that the owners had. Incorporating wood generously into the design, the end result is a warm and inviting house that is also fun and modern.

###Living and dining room
The floor to ceiling bookshelf is the centerpiece of the living room, but the polished wood floor and colourful furnishings and accessories keep it from looking staid and boring. A smaller shelf cut under the staircase is a great space saver, and also provides a great conversation piece in the dining area.

###Kitchen
The monochromatic kitchen incorporates pops of red through the accessories, matching the living area. A mini bar table doubles up as a preparation table, allowing the cook to chat with others as he/she prepares the food.

###Bedroom and wardrobe
The bedroom features a more old-school, retro vibe, with its black and white blinds, traditional doors and choice of bedsheets. The walk-in-wardrobe is small, but the absence of doors makes the area look more spacious than it is.
