Expect tiles, countertops, wood products, and even bathroom fittings!
As much as online shopping is the norm these days, some things are best bought (and experienced) in person. Clothes, vehicles – and, in the interior design space, materials for your home renovation.
Ultimately, feeling and testing out these materials firsthand help you make informed decisions on the best material types and designs for your home.

That’s why you should head down to Hafary – one of the biggest material suppliers in Singapore – to check out their diverse selection of tile designs and materials. Of their four showrooms across the island, their Balestier showroom has found a new home in a conserved shophouse in Lavender, renamed the Hafary House.
What makes it so special, you ask? The curated selections and real-home vignettes so you can get a tangible idea of how your selections would look in an actual home!
We actually had the chance to see the space for ourselves, so here’s a breakdown of everything you can expect during a visit. Trust us: if you’re stuck for ideas for your home renovation, this is the place to be.
Stunning thematic displays that provide realistic inspiration for smaller spaces
There’s much to see at the Hafary House, which is segregated into different zones corresponding to the rooms in your house (like your living room, bathroom, and kitchen, and so on), all set to scale.
This allows you to envision what the specific area of your home can look like with the help of a curated selection of materials per zone (more on this in the next section).
Given the sheer number of zones and displays, you’ll definitely walk out with lots of ideas for your renovation.
You will also find several thematic displays throughout the space that showcases a variety of design styles. From a unique tropical brutalist vignette to a serene Japanese-Nordic theme, these displays stoke the imagination by showing how different materials can come together to create the look you love.
And these displays aren’t just found within the showroom area, by the way. Take a peek into the showroom’s actual bathrooms, and you’ll find that each stall is decked out in a different style as well!
While it may be smaller than Hafary Gallery in Eunos, these displays help to paint a more realistic picture of how these materials will look like in smaller homes – because something you like on social media may not necessarily look the same when used within the tighter confines of your HDB flat or condo.
That brings us to the next point:
Tons of materials for your perusal (not just tiles)
Despite its smaller size, rest assured that there are many tile designs for you to peruse. In fact, there are over 3,000 variations housed in this cosy space alone!
Remember the different zones and thematic displays we mentioned earlier? Well, you’ll find a variety of different tile designs across all these areas, which include wood-look tiles, subway tiles, mosaic tiles and kitkat tiles, among other designs.
You’ll also find them in a spectrum of sizes – from tiny 10cm x 10cm tiles to large-format tiles at 90 cm x 180cm, which can be used for both your walls and floors.
While Hafary may be known for their tiles, they actually carry materials like natural stone and porcelain slabs as well – the latter which comes in sizes that span all the way up till a whopping 3.2m x 1.2m.
And those natural stones? They include ones from Antolini: a premium Italian brand that Hafary exclusively carries. Designs include marble, quartz, and crystals – take for example their Precioustone collection, consisting of surfaces that are made with gemstones like amethyst, agate, and jasper.
They’re not just pretty (sur)faces, however – along with its stunningly luxurious look, they also boast enhanced durability and anti-microbial properties thanks to Antolini’s use of patented technology.
And yes, these are all available for your perusal within Hafary House!
Bathroom fittings, wood products, and textured surfaces for a more complete renovation shopping experience
If you’re on the hunt for other materials and fittings to complement your tile selection, look no further than Hafary’s two sub-showrooms housed within the same space: Wood Culture and Hafary Bathroom.
For those who prefer the warmth of real wood instead of wood-look tiles, Wood Culture is where you need to go. This Hafary subsidiary is where you’ll find a wide range of engineered wood and solid wood surfaces on top of its array of vinyl products.
This is where you’ll also find the Ecosphere and Ecoclay: Wood Culture’s exclusive textured wall coverings that replicate the look and feel of various stones, fabrics, and cements.
Like wallpaper, these wall surfaces can be overlaid over existing walls (and even ceilings!), thus allowing you to quickly refresh your home’s look without needing to undergo a whole renovation again. In fact, these surfaces are so lightweight and flexible that they can be applied over curved surfaces as well!
There’s also the Hafary Bathroom. As another of Hafary’s subsidiaries that showcases a selection of premium bathroom fittings for homeowners’ consideration, expect only the cream of the crop. Brands on display include:
- Zuchetti: a distinguished Italian brand that is world renowned for their elegant and innovatively-designed bathroom fittings
- Bernstein: an established brand from Germany with over 20 years of experience creating premium bathroom solutions
But there aren’t the only brands you’ll find. Here, you’ll also come across Klopfen: Hafary’s newly-developed in-house brand of bathroomware.
Developed after almost a year of collaboration with manufacturers from all over the world, they carry sanitary wares, fittings, and accessories that are equal parts stunning, innovative, and functional.
With the amount of thought and effort put into the design, It’s no wonder that they look right at home among the more established European brands mentioned above!
