Project Details
The 3D Heritage Wall at KLIA brings Malaysia’s cultural diversity to life through immersive, detailed installations. Inspired by traditional streetscapes, it showcases iconic shopfronts, including a Baba-Nyonya townhouse, a nasi kandar eatery, a kedai runcit (mini-market), and a classic Indian barber shop. Each installation is meticulously designed with vibrant colors, traditional motifs, and architectural elements reflecting Malaysia’s multicultural heritage. The Baba-Nyonya townhouse, with its intricate Peranakan carvings, patterned tiles, and a traditional trishaw, offers a glimpse into the Straits Chinese influence. The nasi kandar eatery captures the bustling atmosphere of a classic roadside food stall, complete with mural illustrations of diners enjoying a meal. The kedai runcit, with its nostalgic display of goods and vintage décor, evokes the charm of neighborhood convenience stores of the past. The Indian barber shop, adorned with retro barber poles and wooden shutters, recreates an old-school grooming experience. This installation serves as both an artistic tribute and an engaging cultural showcase, allowing travelers to experience Malaysia’s living heritage within the airport’s modern space. The 3D Heritage Wall at KLIA brings Malaysia’s cultural diversity to life through immersive, detailed installations.
