A hillside bungalow in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur, delivered as a turnkey design-and-build project by Blaine Robert Design — design, construction and interiors under one contract. Bought sub-sale in good condition, around 80% of the original house was kept; the work went into a 2,000 sq ft extension for two home offices, a reworked entertainment floor, and the two master bathrooms. The brief came with an unusual requirement: every bed had to be able to move, which meant every bedroom wall had to work as a feature wall. Contemporary luxury, with the register of a private hotel.
