Project Details
Purpose + Pleasure - the main ideology behind our latest residential project in Summerskye Residence is brought to life through various custom elements in accordance with thoughtful details and preferences of our client; a newly-wedded couple who embrace slow and quality living amidst the busy city’s stir. Breaking the constraint of a conventional condominium, we reshuffled the space into a spatially generous space, turning it into an ideal abode for the couple. By breaking down an original partition wall next to the entrance of the house, the cohesiveness of the layout is greatly enhanced as the kitchen naturally blends into the free-flowing space. Transitioning to the living area, a pebble wash terrazzo floor was ornately laid to add textural contrast to the earth-toned timber floors of the rest of the interior. The combination of a muted interior palette and sleek Scandinavian furniture selections offers warmth, further reflecting our client's request for a calm and relaxing everyday space. As a measure to overcome insufficient daylight entering the hallway and hence the Playroom, we made two new semi-translucent window openings on the Master Bedroom to multiply the daylight that brightens up the space. During the day, the now diffusive daylight shines on the wall of the Playroom and double as a white background when viewed from the inside. To ease interactions between the client and their future kids, a hidden sliding door was installed and pocketed between the wall that connects the Master Bedroom and the Kid’s Room.Purpose + Pleasure - the main ideology behind our latest residential project in Summerskye Residence is brought to life through various custom elements in accordance with thoughtful details and preferences of our client; a newly-wedded couple who embrace slow and quality living amidst the busy city’s stir.
