Modern Serenity As minimalism reaches new heights in popularity, as an aesthetic that goes beyond its modernist inspired boundaries, this project pushes the limits of minimalism, displaying a simplicity in living with a modern luxury design. Wood is a natural product that lives. Natural oak finish coupled with fillet corners to bring a softer approach within this living space. It is placed near the entrance not only to function as divider, but also act as a warm welcoming upon returning home. The existing false ceiling level help to distinguish the kitchen from the living space with wooden panel finishing. The wooden ceiling-to-fluted column creates a soft natural glow in the kitchen area, giving a comfortable acoustic absorption and an aesthetically pleasing ambience. This project is understated, yet expresses itself through a collection of textures and curving forms and edges. Through gentle design and maximizing the living room, we have designed fillet dividers, floating TV wall feature with rounded corners, room corridor and L-shaped dividers are painted in grey texture acting as boundaries between living and the dining area. In addition, the curved ceiling is detailed as it rises and falls in subtly curvaceous focal point, smooth transition and zoning device. The sheer curtain that wraps around the living emits a soft natural glow in the area, allowing more natural light to penetrate into the space. A curved ceiling bows overhead, which adds to the light and airy atmosphere of the bedroom. To enhance the cosiness, an indirect lighting system has been installed along the perimeter of the headboard and ceiling light trough. It accentuates a smooth textured wall with little sheen and provides an additional layer to the room’s aesthetic. Silky smooth modern finishes, light and calming backdrops, dividers and creative curves fill this modern home interior with a restrained sense of luxury in simplicity.
