It's our 2nd time working with Gerald Goh and I have no regrets choosing to work with him again. Renovating a house can be very stressful and coupled with the large bill that comes with it, it is of upmost importance to work with someone that you can trust, can rely and has the most creative solutions. Gerald has all the checkboxes ticked when it comes to engaging the right ID. He is meticulous to the point of asking what decorations we plan to have around the house and works to supplement and amplify the effects of those items. He has been extremely patient with us, helping us from choosing lights and ceiling fans to choosing toilet accessories and fittings, ensuring the aesthetic of the house is not compromised. If I move again, I will very likely work with Gerald again. Thanks Gerald and Jialux Interior for giving us a beautiful and luxurious house!

Working with Marcus & Raj on our recent home renovation was an absolute game-changer. From start to finish, their expertise, creativity, and professionalism turned what could have been a stressful process into a seamless and enjoyable journey. What stood out immediately was their ability to listen. During our initial consultation, they took the time to understand our lifestyle, aesthetic preferences, and functional needs. We wanted a modern yet cozy vibe for our home, and they translated our vague ideas into a cohesive vision. Regular updates and transparent communication kept us in the loop, and they were always responsive to questions or adjustments. No element was overlooked. From sourcing durable, eco-friendly materials for our high-traffic areas to selecting hardware that complemented our fixtures, every choice felt intentional. They introduced us to textured wall finishes and layered lighting (ambient, task, and accent) that added depth and character we’d never considered. Even small touches, like aligning the grain of the hardwood floors with sightlines, showcased their meticulous approach. Their team coordinated flawlessly with contractors, ensuring timelines and budgets stayed on track. We appreciated their honesty about cost trade-offs, which helped us prioritize without compromising quality. If you’re seeking a designer who combines vision with practicality, Marcus & Raj is a stellar choice. They turned challenges into opportunities, respected our budget, and delivered a space that exceeds our dreams. Yours Sincerely CS, Depot Road

Exceptional Experience with Renologist – Top-notch Service and Craftsmanship We recently completed a home renovation project with Renologist, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From the very first consultation to the final handover, the entire experience was smooth, professional, and actually enjoyable — something I never thought I’d say about a renovation! What truly stood out to me was the level of service and attention to detail. The team at Renologist was incredibly responsive, transparent, and patient throughout the whole process. They took the time to understand our needs, lifestyle, and design preferences, and they delivered above and beyond. Their project manager provided regular updates, helped us stay within budget, and managed the timeline with amazing efficiency. The carpentry work was especially impressive. Every built-in, cabinet, and custom piece they created was crafted with precision and care. You can immediately tell the difference in quality — the materials feel premium, the finishes are immaculate, and everything fits seamlessly into the space. It’s the kind of quality that makes a home feel not just new, but truly refined. But what really made the difference were the design inputs from their team. We had a vague vision of what we wanted, but Renologist’s designers added that professional touch that took it to the next level. Their ideas were both creative and practical — from maximizing space in our small kitchen, to suggesting color palettes and lighting options that made the rooms feel more open and warm. They even incorporated a few features we hadn’t thought of, like hidden storage and a built-in study nook, which have turned out to be our favorite spots at home. The overall transformation of our space has been remarkable. It now feels modern, functional, and uniquely “us.” I’ve already recommended Renologist to a few friends, and I will continue to do so wholeheartedly. If you're looking for a renovation and interior design company that combines excellent service, solid craftsmanship, and smart design, I can’t recommend Renologist enough. They care about the details, they listen to their clients, and they truly deliver quality — and in today’s market, that’s rare to find.

I engaged Xavier from Mu Design Studio for a complete renovation of my home because I was looking for a sleek and minimalistic design. From the initial consultation to the final touches, Xavier managed the project with great professionalism and attention to detail. Working with Xavier was a smooth and pleasant experience. He communicated clearly and responded promptly to all my queries. Xavier was able to propose creative solutions that perfectly met my needs and preferences. When I requested changes or rectifications, he handled them efficiently and without any fuss. The quality of service and workmanship was outstanding. Xavier's eye for aesthetics and functionality transformed my home into a calm and stylish space. The use of clean lines, neutral colors, and modern furnishings made my home feel more spacious and inviting. What stood out the most about Xavier was his ability to manage the project seamlessly. He took care of everything from sourcing materials to coordinating with contractors, ensuring that the project stayed on schedule and within budget. His clear communication kept me informed at every stage, which I greatly appreciated. One area for improvement could be providing more frequent updates on the project's progress, but overall, I was very satisfied with the experience.
Reviewed by Valerie・Submitted 30 Apr 2025・Renovation in progress・Designer Isaac
After carefully evaluating six interior design firms, we selected Jialux primarily due to our interaction with Isaac, who initially impressed us with his creativity and a design aesthetic that matched our preferences. Our engagement began during a renovation fair, well in advance—at least 2–3 months before our key collection—for our resale maisonette, which we fully understood would involve a certain level of complexity and cost. From the start, we made every payment promptly and never delayed our financial obligations. We placed our trust in Isaac and by extension, the Jialux brand, based on the professionalism and service he promised. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. The project was supposed to take 3 months, even with Chinese New Year 2025 factored in. We are now six months in, and the renovation is still incomplete. What started with hope and confidence has turned into one of the most stressful and disappointing experiences we've ever had with a service provider. Key Issues: 1. Extremely Poor Project Management Despite isolated issues like HDB-related spalling works, other unaffected areas sat untouched for weeks. There was a 3–4 week period where no work was done at all, showing a total lack of planning or parallel tasking. The spalling should never have brought all other works to a standstill. 2. Missed Deadlines and Repeated Excuses During a meeting on 28 February, we were told that the carpentry drawings would be sent the same night, and fabrication would start upon payment. These were only sent after multiple follow-ups on 20 March—a delay that was never accounted for, let alone apologized for. 3. False Promises on Completion Dates We were assured the project would be handed over by 1 April, despite no carpentry having been finalized at that point. Later, this was pushed to 18 April, and then again to 28 April. Each delay came with vague explanations and last-minute updates—no ownership, no accountability. 4. Flat Not Ready at “Handover” On 28 April, we arrived for what was meant to be a handover, only to find major areas incomplete: the kitchen was not finished, WC units were missing, vanity counters were absent, and there was no glass installed in the steel frames for the study and balcony. 5. Zero Progress for Days No workers were seen on-site from 24–26 April, leading to a completely unprepared space for the handover on the 28th. 6. Basic Oversight and Inexperience Isaac relied entirely on contractors for critical decisions. We were told to purchase switch quantities ourselves—resulting in 15 extras. 43m of LED strips short due to incorrect measurements. Ordered wrong type of WC - only discovered upon delivery. Assumed induction hob instead of gas and dismantled the entire gas pipe setup without confirming. While Isaac has a creative eye, he lacks the competence, attention to detail, and project oversight expected of a professional interior designer. Worse still, throughout this drawn-out ordeal, not a single other person from Jialux stepped in to assist or manage the escalating issues. As homeowners, we had to chase, plan, and verify far more than anyone should during a renovation we paid a premium for. Given the extent of delays, mismanagement, and undelivered promises, we are left with not just frustration but real financial and emotional strain. We strongly urge Jialux to take responsibility and consider appropriate compensation for the unnecessary stress, time lost, and the many unresolved or botched components of our home. We hope this review serves not only as a warning to future clients but also as a wake-up call for Jialux to overhaul its internal processes and commitment to quality.

I am writing this to strongly warn others about our terrible experience with E Interior Studio (also operating as E Interior Design). We entrusted them with our home renovation project. Today, not only is the work incomplete, but there are also numerous defects that have been completely ignored. Despite countless attempts to contact them—they have gone totally silent. They do not respond to WhatsApp messages, and they refuse to pick up our calls. To make matters worse, we have already filed a police report regarding this issue. Even with that step taken, they have the audacity to continue ignoring us and the unfinished work. One of their own workers, who had come to our house multiple times, even told us how unfair this situation is to us. It’s shocking when your own staff knows the customers are being mistreated—yet the company does nothing. These are the issues we faced: Renovation remains incomplete despite payment Multiple defects left unresolved Company has gone silent—no calls, no replies Police report lodged due to neglect No ownership, no responsibility This is not just poor service—this is a complete abandonment of responsibility. We urge E Interior Studio / E Interior Design to take accountability and make things right immediately. To anyone considering their services: please, for your own peace of mind, look elsewhere. We sincerely hope no one else has to go through the frustration, stress, and financial loss that we are still enduring.

Koness impressed us since the first meeting. We appreciate that she highlights when our designs are impractical (even if she knows it’s something we really want - see the disproportionate shower size in the Bathroom rendering below). When we show her designs we like, she adds on our preference plus her own aesthetic angle to create designs that we really like. She is also very knowledgeable about flooring, tiling, materials, space utilization, workable dimensions etc. Although we stay quite far away from her Sin Ming showroom, everytime we go down for a discussion, we feel like it’s time well spent and the discussions are fruitful !! We have a good feeling about this :)

We engaged Carpenter’s Design for our renovation project, and our experience with Jun Jie was nothing short of excellent. He is incredibly patient and detailed in his work, always taking the time to listen to our ideas and concerns while providing thoughtful and practical solutions. What really stood out was his honesty and transparency—his quotation was very reasonable, which gave us a lot of confidence and peace of mind throughout the process. Jun Jie was highly responsive, always getting back to us promptly whenever we had questions or needed updates. His professionalism and reliability were evident from the start, and it’s no surprise that he was also the trusted ID for both of my brothers-in-law’s homes. Their positive experiences led us to him, and we’re so glad we followed their recommendation. We highly recommend Jun Jie and Carpenter’s Design to anyone looking for a dependable and experienced interior designer.

I hired MU Design Studio for a renovation project, expecting professional work and responsibility. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and costly due to their poor workmanship and refusal to take accountability. Major Issues Faced: Defective Work – A concealed leak caused by improper sanitary installation was discovered after the renovation. Expert assessments confirmed the issue Denial of Responsibility – Despite clear evidence, MU Design Studio initially refused to acknowledge the problem and engaged a non-specialist to dispute findings Financial Burden on Me – After their refusal to fix the leak, I had no choice but to hire a certified leak specialist to rectify their mistake at my own cost Violation of Standards – The specialist's report confirmed that the concealed piping was not installed according to PUB guidelines, indicating non-compliance and poor workmanship Failure to Pay Compensation – Despite multiple discussions and agreements, MU Design Studio failed to pay within the agreed timeframe, refusing to take financial responsibility WARNING TO FUTURE CUSTOMERS If you are considering hiring MU Design Studio, think twice. Their lack of accountability, failure to meet industry standards, and unwillingness to resolve mistakes led to significant inconvenience, stress, and financial loss for me. I strongly do NOT recommend MU Design Studio to anyone looking for a reliable and responsible contractor. Choose a company that values professionalism, transparency, and quality work.

Elton took up my one-bedder project despite it being a rather small one (for context, most of the bigger ID firms get the junior / not so good IDs to take up small project prospects). Elton was really proactive from the get go, putting in effort to come over to my house to take measurements and even picturing the placement of fixtures even before we decided to engage him. Throughout the entire renovation journey, he has been super prompt in answering my questions and also following up on any rectifications needed. He has definitely made my entire renovation journey as smooth as possible, and any hiccups were quickly addressed by him. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking to start on their renovation journey.

Went to home reno fair, didnt get any satisfactory discussion first time. Met Katelyn during second time, she was the only designer showed her portfolio and elaborated different styles. When we first saw her design for our living and dinning, we just fell in love with the feel and we know she is the one, she just knows what we are looking for. Even her selection of all sort of materials, just matches with our styles. :)
