Project Details

Rooted in the principles of Modern Japandi, Paperworks seeks to foster a sense of serenity, balance and unity in creating harmonious living spaces. It embraces a blend of Scandinavian and Japanese design, which values imperfection, impermanence and the beauty of simplicity. “Curve lines in nature.” This was a quote shared by our client and it served as an inspiration when curating feature wall, furniture and furnishing as we often looked for curves and texture in this interior. Such idea can be seen in the chamfered edging, full height feature wall, hidden storage, display tall unit, dining table, TV console, modular sofa and etc. Paperworks contrast with the straight lines and sharp angles commonly found in interior styles, creating a more orgaic and inviting space. The clean crisp white interior coupled with the white marble and natural oak finish bring forth a more spacious and soothing experience for one. Paperworks strategically design the curved feature wall to draw attention with warm light panning near the entrance for a warm welcome upon returning home. It not only serves as storage and display unit, but also serve as a guide between spaces and subtly harmonize themselves with the loose furniture to form this home as one entity. In this modern living, the sheer curtains that wrap around the living emit a soft natural glow in the area, allowing one to dwell in such tranquility. This was achieved by setting the lowest height of TV console and modular sofa set to maximize the height range of living space in order to keep the space more open and airy with daylight access. Paperworks added a wall linear light as additional visual interest within the area when it’s lit in the evening as a finishing touch to the space. Within that dining area features a bespoke dining table wrapped in natural timber oak finish along with an exquisite white marble top, adding a sense of luxury as it juxtaposes itself as a statement piece within this space. Such placidity is also carried on into the Master Bedroom. The same oak finishing and curving gesture are used to keep this space soft and airy. The upholstered bedhead is wrapped in light grey fabric with oak finishing to textualize and soften the room. The spray tile coating applied on headboard wall to give a sense of connection to nature into the space. This is further enhanced by having indirect illumination that truly allows one to retreat in comfort. By incorporating curved lines into a Modern Japandi interior, Paperworks creates a space that beauty, comfort, simplicity and functionality of a living, creating a welcoming and visually pleasing environment. Gentle curves feature generously throughout the space in a gesture that seems to softly wrap its occupants in a soft embrace.
