I was presented a good design that I like and all started well and I trusted Philip and his team 100% until I realized the kitchen wall that is meant to be built was not done and worse of all it was missed out in submission to HDB. Many issues surfaced and I had to monitor the project as if I'm the project manager on site. Their contractors were often not given clear instructions and work done on site had to be rework after I point out the mistakes (they didnt even realized the work was done wrong!). I recognized 2021 was a challenging year with shortage of labor and materials but at the very least they should be managing the customer but all I experienced was the other way round. I had a rented apartment that I had to extend 2 times at the eleventh hour because they couldn't complete the work for my move. The nightmare came when my landlord could not extend any further as they have new tenant moving in, I had to move in to an unfinished house after 5-6 months since work started on site. This is only a 3 room HDB flat. The wardrobe was incomplete and main gate was without lock when i moved in...they gave the gate contractor wrong instruction or maybe no instruction and they damage the gate. They also didn't coordinate with the digital lock vendor whom they recommended and I ordered through them. I moved in to a house having to use a chain with padlock. I also had to endure a power trip on the 3rd day of CNY. Their carpentry work has lots of issue. The wardrobe sliding door had to be replaced 3 times due to warping and bubbles. Had to change design because the replacement door still couldn't work well. Now 8 months post handover, the wardrobe door is having issue again. Feedback to Philip and as usual no reply. He didnt even bother to read my messages even though he was online. Such unprofessionalism. I should have insisted on retaining some of their fee until the 12 months warranty is due. I concluded they are good designer with poor project management skills. Also very unprofessional to ignore on defects during warranty period. If you want to test your patience and horne your project management skill, then engage them. He made lots of promises (big and small) and under delivered. Best to look at payment terms carefully and retain a sum until warranty period is over to play safe if you decide to hire this firm. Advise to avoid large payment upfront.

You know renovations in 2020 is not easy, right? Worst thing was I was already in the thick of things when circuit breaker kicked in. Fortunately, I have Kevin to help me push through these difficult times. I cannot imagine liaising with all the contractors and dealing with all the regulations myself! This is why you need an ID! Back to the beginning, I picked Kevin out of my available options because he has an eye for detail, even a bit bit OCD, which is not a trait you can find in everyone. He also has an appreciation for symmetry and beauty which added tiny touches to my apartment that made it that much more perfect. He also has connections in the industry for things he doesn't cover and his contacts have some far proven reliable and efficient. It has been a long journey but Kevin was a reassuring and reliable presence 🙂

Kevin is only ID that listen to customer wants and make effort to solve the issue together and comes out with solutions. He will update me on the progress without me asking. He will offer cost efficient solutions instead of expensive stuffs. The suggestion I have is with regards to time management and be more forth coming when there is issues or blunder etc. I know IDs can be busy. However will be good to try to keep to the time frame indicate its update if cannot be met before customer ask. 2) When issue happens and bound to happen and confirm will happen, will be good to just inform the customer and discuss the solutions instead to disguise or minimise the impact the issue. In general I am very happy with Kevin's design, attitude and professionalism. He does follow up and do extra than what is required for an ID. Even after I moved in and need additional help like finding chairs for my Island or thinking ways to cover my book shelf for LEGO display, Kevin will help willingly.

Kevin from 13th design studio is a great, responsible and reliable interior designer. As we have a design/creative background, aesthetics was everything. There were couple of ID companies we’ve seen that couldn’t live up to that. We are glad we’ve chosen Kevin for our home. The mood ref that we wanted was pretty much carved to stone, he was patient and worked with us as we were pretty anal with the choices of design that goes into our home. He excellently brought that dream home into a reality to us. A dream come true! ID nightmare are stories we often hear. And Kevin is definitely not anywhere near that. It was a fun and exciting experience seeing our place crafted till completion, there was brilliant chemistry throughout the way in understanding what we wanted. Stress and worry free. All in all, fantastic and great satisfaction. Seriously, just look for Kevin 13th Design Studio if you want your place done up.✌️

Kevin has done a great job in coming out with exactly the type of interior design i'm looking for. During the reno, he has consistently kept us posted on the ongoing renovations and send us photos to keep us updated. When we had some issues during the renovation process, we gave feedback to Kevin and it was rectified almost immediately. When everything was done, his team also did a great job on cleaning up before handing over. Overall, I am pleased with the service and great attitude has has shown throughout the entire renovation period. It has been 3 years since our renovation and our carpentry and workmanship is still in very good condition. Once, there was an issue with one of the cupboard hinges,I texted Kevin on this matter and he came to rectify it within a week. Great job on the after Reno service as well! I will highly recommend Kevin and his team for your house renovation.

I was lucky to have Kevin take care of my renovation. We work well together as he bring my ideas of what I want in live in ways that will not burn my pocket. He will suggest alternatives closest to what I want. He attends to my questions very responsively and went the extra mile to drive me and my mum around looking for fixtures and tiles. He is easy going, patient and honest. Even after the project is done - he still attends to my messages when I have queries. It has been a very pleasant experience and I like what came out of the renovation.
