We first met Eddie when he doing renovation for our neighbour downstairs. His work for our neighbour looked really well done and that was how we started having discussions with him. Throughout the initial discussions to designing to quotation, he was very patient and shared his design ideas very well. It was never a case like other IDs who just want to quickly take your deposit. We then decided to go with him and he was willing to spend a lot of time when it comes to choosing tiles, matching laminates and even going through all 2D drawings and dimensions item by item. Throughout the Reno period, Eddie was always very responsive and was prompt to fix any errors or defects we found. We experienced some mistakes and delays which is quite common is major renovations, but the way Eddie handled it was very professional and always ensured we come to a solution that best works for everybody. All in all, I must say it’s been a pleasant Reno journey and my family is very pleased with the design and workmanship he delivered.

Having Eddie as our ID made our renovations process more arduous and taxing and gave us a greater headache as compared to not having an ID. He is not only irresponsible, but also charges customers incorrectly. We decided to engage eddie after seeing the wonderful reviews and upon first impression, he was approachable and answered all our queries promptly prior to starting renovation. However, once we paid the first cycle and started work, Eddie was MIA, he was not there to supervise the works, no proper briefing was done to his workers and there was poor communication and execution with all the work involved. Firstly carpentry works came that were not according to the specifications that Eddie and I have discussed and drawn up. In the end we had to “suck it up and accept it” since the carpentry had been drilled into the toilet wall. This shows lack of communication between him and his workers. Secondly, his carpenters were not briefed on what to do for the carpentry. Initially, the carpenter built the wardrobe wrongly and after I saw it, I contacted eddie and he paid lipservice, did not come down and make sure works went accordingly and at the end I had to personally supervise and ensure that the carpenter built my wardrobe according to the design plans laid out. On this point, a lot of items eddie promised he will do from the start, is not done when the works are completed, you as a homeowner have to supervise each and every detail and make sure it is done, if not he wont care. An example would be promising us blum and excel hardware, charging us for it, but not including it when the carpentry came. Only when we checked the hinges did we realise it was not what was promised. The workman ship of the wardrobes were also extremely subpar, detailing was off and the backboard of the wardrobe has already warped. Looks nice on the outside for sure, but not sure if it will last. Mirrors installed come slanted when you pull out the cupboard because the hinges used cant support the weight of the mirror. Lastly, poor communication regarding the works done in our toilet resulted in irreparable holes in the newly installed wall tiles. Eddie has apologised for the cock up and mentioned that his workers did not do a good job and scolded the plumber boss because “plumber do until like that how is he as an ID going to handover to the homeowner?” The context is that this could have been avoided if the plumbers properly accounted for the holes in the walls meant for the pipes before the tiler tiled the new wall tiles. However there was no communication and planning, as such the wall tiles were already put up and the plumber had to hammer ugly big holes into the new wall tiles to put his pipes. Overall this journey with eddie has been one that gave us sleepless nights and many back and forth arguments. At the end of the day, having to deal with him was the biggest headache in the renovation process and you still have the supervise the works by yourself because he will be proactive before you pay, but not care the moment works start. overall a nightmare

Of all the IDs we have met, we chose Ultra Space Design because they were able to solve our problems. When we bought this resale, we had issues with tiny spaces in the house but they were able to make it spacious and nice to live in. They also gave very good ideas and suggestions to our designs and when we chose our tiles, laminates, etc. I have to applaud them for their reliability and display of good responsibility. Both of them are very reliable and diligent in the sense that they will take the extra mile to go to our neighbors house and check the piping and lights so as to make sure that our house is free from water leakage and other issues. When we had problems, they will make the effort to come down and make sure everything is ok. I really appreciate their sincere effort. When we were choosing tiles, I was going back and forth with my decisions but they were patient enough to go through the process with me. The only thing that we felt could improve on is taking the height of the ceiling into consideration because when we installed the ceiling fans on the false ceiling, it was so low that we could touch it with our hands. So we thought they could have told us how low the fan will be. Otherwise, they are very helpful throughout the process of building our house. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy ID, you can ring them up! Many people have commented my house looks like a hotel and I have to give thanks to Ultra Space.

As a first-time homeowner venturing into the world of interior design and renovations, I’m very glad to have engaged Eddie to help with the entire journey. Eddie came highly recommended through a friend; he’s personable and very easy to work with, always quick to anticipate possible problems and propose practical ideas or alternatives that met my needs. I especially appreciated how Eddie’s experience came through in the little details - e.g. when we were selecting floor tiles, he pointed out which tiles had sharper edges that might scratch your feet when you walk on them (things that I would never have thought about looking at the sample tiles). My work schedules kept me away from supervising the renovation process closely, and Eddie handled everything end-to-end reliably so that I could have peace of mind (keeping me updated with regular videos and pictures). When I moved into my new home, everything was exactly the way I had imagined and more. Even when there were small rectifications to be made, Eddie’s always responsive and made sure follow-ups were done in a timely manner. It’s also really helpful that Eddie has his own lighting and bathroom fixtures shop too (and contacts for blinds and curtains), so I was able to route everything through him, a one-stop experience. Very pleased with Eddie’s professionalism and ease to work with, and have since recommended him to several friends and family :) Thank you!

We were based in China when we purchased our house back in Singapore. Through web search, it led us to Qanvast and we decided to go with Ultra Space Design, Eddie after rounds of zoom calls with a few other agencies. Eddie is a person who's very sincere and a great listener, always going out of his way to get things done for us in a timely and professional manner. Even when we had limited time given by the MCST to complete the initial heavy works within 10wks, which we only found out at the start of the renovation. Eddie helped to coordinate with the MCST and ensure the reno work is smoothly carried through. There are bound to have some rectifications along the way, and how Eddie work is that he doesn't play the "point the finger" game. He will provide solutions on resolve the issues in the most amicable way. Even after the renovations and payment is made in full, he doesn't delay in retifying. He has a great eye for designs and colour tones and initially we were hestitant to follow his proposals but he was able to put together the designs to make us visualize how it will be. With that, we confidentally let him run the work and the outcome was really stunning and it was really how we have envision our cosy home will be. When we were stuck with the decision to choose the design / type for our island, he didn't rush us to make a decision but rather told us to take our time and when we are back in Singapore, then have a feel of the material. During the selection process back in Singapore, Eddie accompanied us and proposed a design that is quite statement, which we were hesistant at the initial, but we decided to go with his idea and true enough the island was the statement piece of the house where everyone will ask about it. People who visited our home mentioned that the quality of materials and workmanship is of good quality and they are really amazed that we could coordinate the renovation even from China! But it is because we found a good ID like Eddie who helped us through, and we could trust him as he always give us prompt updates. He is never late to reply our text or organising a zoom call late at night to go through the materials with us. Thank you, Eddie for making our house into a cosy home that we look forward to returning after a long day at work.

Eddie tries to understand his customers’ need before proposing his ideas. He has original design and idea yet he’s not imposing his ideas on us. He’s professional while undertaking the project and follow through all complaints to ensure we are satisfied with the end product ultimately. After sales support is good too. After our contract ended, he still continue to provide similar level of support in accordance with the 6-month post-sales warranty. We would recommend him to anyone looking for interior designer.

Wife did a lot of research online on finding designers which we went for 20+ designers to finally settle with Eddie. He came across as friendly and warm guy to work with and we also compare his designs and pricing with many others. So with many combinations of requirements we gave him the job. Luckily he turn out to be a blessing indeed he’s responsible and responsive to many problems encountered during reno. He accommodated our strict fengshui design as well and during the job, he always update us on the work scope. Even his after sales services is rated 5 star by us 👍

I would recommend Eddie from Ultra Space Design following my positive experience of working with him. My wife and I connected with Eddie via referral from a family member, and subsequently engaged him for our home renovation. As first time home owners, we were grateful for Eddie's advice during the renovation process. His experience was value-adding. He understood our theme well and suggested good and practical ideas. Communication was direct and transparent, and requests for rectifications were resolved promptly during the process. This occured during Covid, so issues arising from restrictions and disruptions were inevitable. We are, on the overall, happy with the outcome. Workmanship was great. Eddie has been prompt in following up on post-renovation servicing requests. The actual renovation costs were within our budget.

We went thru various platform and met numerous ID but we came across Eddie. He give us a good vibe in our first meeting and after subsequent meeting showing us his portfolio and the design he had in mind for us, it was not a hard decision to engage his service. The renovation was relatively smooth with occasional hiccups but Eddie will always keep us updated of the progress. We made a couple of major last minute changes and “Eddie” is always a magical word to us, he is patience and accommodating listening to our request and ensure his contractor consider all our request. We are living in our dream home. He still keep in contact with us even after the renovation is completed and offerings his help if we face any problem. Eddie would definitely have more than 5 stars recommendation =)

We were first timers to the renovation process and had spoken to 8 IDs. Eddie was the third ID we spoke to actually and we went back to him eventually because of the other 7 IDs we spoke to, we found that Eddie was not only detailed and always giving us undivided attention to listen how we wanted our place to look, he also impressed us with his sense of style and concept which indicated that he really has good design instincts, something that we really needed in an ID as first timers. Eddie was able to bring together many of our many ideas from themes such as scandy, modern resort, industrial and peranakan together and ensured that there was an appealing design flow throughout the house. He also made bold suggestions in areas of design that helped enhanced the overall aesthetics of the house. Before the renovation started, Eddie went through the 3D concept of our place with us thoroughly to ensured that the design was to our expectation. Eddie also provided us with a timeline of our renovation highlighting key events such as when carpentry would start and end. This was very useful as we used it to plan our moving in and other things like starting of gas and internet. We also observed Eddie has very good working relationships with his contractors which meant changes or issues could be resolved very quickly should they arise. More importantly, all his contractors had very good workmanship and during-and-after sales service. Overall, we felt that selecting Eddie was an excellent choice for us considering we are first timers. His design instincts and attention to detail coupled with excellent during-and-after service relieved us from a lot of stress as a first timer and we highly recommend Eddie to those looking for similar renovation experience!

After meeting up with several IDs, Eddie came out tops with his ideas. After factoring our inputs, he was able to incorporate some of his fresh ideas with ours. Even though I had a decent budget, he just work on what is required rather spending all of it. Overall, the renovation was smooth although there was a slight delay due to COVID manpower crunch which is acceptable under such conditions. Eddie kept us updated throughout the whole process and help us to sieve through the tons of materials+colours. He went the extra mile to coordinate some of the stuff I wanted from Taobao and fixed it up for me. The gesture is very much appreciated on my end. Thumbs up to his after-sale service too. Even after I had already made the final payment, and I miss out on some minor touch ups, he was still very obliging and arrange for his contractors to do it promptly.
