We engaged Alex and Darius through Qanvast after being impressed by their past portfolio. Thankfully, they did not disappoint. Overall, we were very satisfied with how the house turned out. We had a tight timeline to meet and a clear picture of what we wanted. Alex and Darius were able to understand our concept quickly and provide good suggestions. The virtual 3D rendering Alex did was excellent, and looked >90% like the final. Darius was helpful throughout the process often going above and beyond to help us with installations and removal. They also gave us regular timely updates on the progress of the house which gave us a lot of comfort. Both are hard workers, and have an impressive response time even during weekends. Both also regularly checked in with us after the completion of the house, and helped to resolve any issues. They are reasonable and listened to areas that we were not so happy with and tried their best to fix it. On areas to improve, their painting subcon could have been more attentive and towards the end of the project we faced some delays in the timeline because of unavailability of subcon scheduling. That said, overall still a positive experience and we are very happy that we engaged them.

I heard about Alex through another friend who had previously engaged them. For my project, Yan Xiang was also assigned. Both Alex and Yan Xiang have been professional and patient, listening to our opinions and entertaining our fickle minded decisions. They were receptive to our needs and made constructive and creative suggestions, until the very last minute. I placed a lot of trust in them as I was overseas for the entire duration of the renovation and left everything entirely to Alex and Yan Xiang. They also went above and beyond, helping me to purchase certain parts from other suppliers as I could not do so myself. This trust was well placed and this was the best renovation experience I have had thus far. There were no major issues to highlight at all when I first saw the completed product. I would recommend Alex and Yan Xiang to any first time home owners embarking on their renovation journey for the first time. They provided a heavenly experience as compared to my hellish experience during my first renovation journey.

We moved into an EM recently and had no qualms in engaging Interior Platform as our reno firm as we had a positive experience with Jess when we were first time home owners in 2018. From conceptualisation to execution, Jess and her team has been responsible, professional and prompt in addressing our feedback. She also understands our needs and style preference - and tries to customise her recommendations accordingly. Her design is aesthetically pleasing and what matters most is her ability to translate the ideas into our desired home. She has good project management skills and ensures that the timeline is met by different contractors. Her contractors are also reliable. Even after the Reno, Jess and team checked in regularly. There were a few times when she even got her contractors to help check on issues that were unrelated to the Reno. All in all, we find the team professional, helpful and prompt. It is an enjoyable journey as we know our renovation is in good hands - a team of trustworthy, reliable designers! Thank you Interior Platform!

My husband and I are first time homeowners and we are glad to have engaged Jess from The Interior Platform to guide us on this journey. From the start, we felt like Jess could really understand our requirements and mood board well. In fact, the first render that she had done up for us was already more or less what we were looking for! During the project execution itself, it was a really smooth and assuring journey as Jess provided us with timely updates on the progress and a clear schedule that we could follow along. She is incredibly patient in her explanations, and often answer our queries even late into the night. We also appreciate her eye for aesthetics and her sensible and practical recommendations during material and fitting selections! (We could already tell from how beautifully she had done up her studio!) Jess even went the extra mile to create another version of the render that reflects the tiles that we had selected, which really helped us to visualise how everything would come together. She is also very quick to rectify any issues that we faced, and this is consistent even after we have moved-in. Jess is truly a professional ID whom we will surely recommend to all our friends and family!! Thank you to The Interior Platform for making our dream home come true! :D

From our first meeting, Alex took time to understand our needs and what we were looking for in our renovation. He provided a quote that took our budget into consideration, but at the same time took care of the aesthetics well. He updated us frequently on amendments, materials, and work done on site. Rectifications were done quite quickly upon sounding out. Only one small area, some of the contractors under Alex need to have more attention to detail, to match the very good aesthetic sense of our ID. Overall a good experience!

Out of the 4 IDs I shortlisted thru Qanvast, I selected TIP primarily because of Alex Tan. After the first meeting, he was the first with a proposal and even gave me a draft layout design with computer drawings to help me visualise. This made his proposal stand out among the rest of the IDs eventhough the costing was more or less similar with the other IDs. Importantly, Alex demonstrated his expertise and professionalism in advising me based on my needs and budget. He also gave me confidence thru my conversation with him that he can do a good job. I am happy to say that Alex did not disappoint and did an outstanding work for my renovation. He was flexible and creative in meeting my requirements when I asked for changes. He was very fast in responding to my queries and to any changes requested. Most importantly, his project management was excellent as every stage of the project was on time with no surprises. Alex also went above and beyond by sourcing for various items not included in his original quote when I did not have the time to do it myself. The overall workmanship for the entire project was very good and I am extremely happy with the end results. The entire renovation was completed fuss free and on time and within my budget and no surprises. What more can any home owner ask for in an ID. I would wholeheartedly recommend Alex to any home owner who is looking for a professional and trustworthy ID. I would definitely be looking for him to do any renovation for my future home too.

Check out his work and finishing of my neighbour in Bedok and make comparisons with other friends who has just conducted renovation of their homes before I decide to contact and engage Alex to design and renovate my unit in TOA PAYOH. He first ask for the floor plan of the unit and enquiries when can he go to the site to conduct necessary measurements. Following up he meet up with us to discuss our requirements and choices of furnishings. After he make an initial design mock up of the unit before he meet up with us to further discuss changes . Then he as what are the big items we need to bring over. After he did a run over on our request he advises us which are the big items we can bring along and which items to dispose of as we are moving from a 4 room unit to 3 room unit. Then he revise the mock up with all big items in place for us to view. He then ask what colours of the wall and type of flooring we want before he brings sample for us to choose. After further revisions of the mock up he then advice us what is more suitable to our need. Before the final decision he allowed us to make further changes of materials for the renovation before he starts work in the unit He always up date the progress regularly so if we need to make any changes we can still do so. When all fitting in place he visited the site together with us to ensure we like it before handing over the project. Alex is very efficient friendly and polite person. He is very careful in making sure of our needs and choices in the project. I would say his is so far the best I ever had compared to my past experience. My friends after viewing my unit commented the job is well done and ask for his contact for their future need. I would give excellent to Alex and wish he will keep up his standard and patience for years to come Thanks you Alex

Like many first time home owners, I am both excited and concerned over how I am gonna design my first new place, alas I am no ID. I met Alex by chance and came to know that he is an ID and had lobbied the idea for him to help with my new place. Alex wasn't the only ID I have met but he was the only one that stands out from the rest with his design suggestions given the limited reno that can be done for a furnished Condo unit. I didn't regret going all black with him haha. I am very happy with how the black fluted panel turned out and had lots of compliments from friends as well. There are always hiccups in every renovation projects and mine was no exception. Alex had handled these aptly and made the process that much more assuring and enjoyable. Alex was our designer and the overall project manager for our first home! From the get go, The Interior Platform stood out amongst the other 5 IDs we met as they proposed good and feasible ideas for our home and are aligned with our vision. As busy working adults, we really appreciated the good initiatives and timely updates. Alex periodically updates us on the progress of our home and whenever we have onsite issues, he succinctly points out several options we can opt for with pros/cons/design implications. This greatly helps with visualization for decision making. A great ID is one that not only presents you with problems but MANY good solutions. Alex has a knack for attention to detail and you can tell he is really dedicated to his craft / takes pride in his designs. It is definitely true that Alex knows our house better than we do. Rectifications are tend to quickly or should we say rectified without us knowing, that’s how efficient the team is! Would definitely summarize our first home renovation journey as enjoyable and smooth. Thank you Alex and team for the dedication and great work :)

How often do you hear of an interior designer whom is on friendly term after a project? When we hear of The Interior Platform from one of our friends, we jumped at it! Jess and Alex partnered us in our 10 weeks reno journey. This is made more challenging when a pandemic can throw you off the timeline with material and manpower shortages. Well, 10 weeks certainly went in a breeze, no sweat! We were kept cool with prompt progress updates, fast responses on queries and nice suggestions on whether some of our ideas work or don't. The project was delivered on time with a "can't be more than happy" result! Post project services continue as Jess and Alex helped with our calls to make minor gap closing. Kudos!

We will always be grateful that Jess picked up our call when we were shopping for an interior designer. We spoke to many IDs, but quickly found that Jess was the one who could understand what we wanted the best. She is sharp, responsible, resourceful, dedicated and quick to rectify any problems that crop up. She gave us wonderful ideas for our home, and allowed us to have such a fuss-free renovation process from start to end, even during COVID times when manpower was short. She understood clearly what we wanted, and we were worry free entrusting the whole process to her with minimal supervision. We would like to thank Jess for helping us build our perfect home, and would recommend her to anybody looking to build their dream home!

I am happy with what Alex did for the renovation of my place. He understood what I wanted and his design was the best amongst the 4 IDs which I had shortlisted. He was patient and was also responsive to the changes I requested. Although there were a few delays (which were inevitable due to Covid), the outcome was still satisfactory. Furthermore, he is still very responsive and helpful even after the project is completed. Would gladly recommend him.
