We engaged Carpenter’s Design for our renovation project, and our experience with Jun Jie was nothing short of excellent. He is incredibly patient and detailed in his work, always taking the time to listen to our ideas and concerns while providing thoughtful and practical solutions. What really stood out was his honesty and transparency—his quotation was very reasonable, which gave us a lot of confidence and peace of mind throughout the process. Jun Jie was highly responsive, always getting back to us promptly whenever we had questions or needed updates. His professionalism and reliability were evident from the start, and it’s no surprise that he was also the trusted ID for both of my brothers-in-law’s homes. Their positive experiences led us to him, and we’re so glad we followed their recommendation. We highly recommend Jun Jie and Carpenter’s Design to anyone looking for a dependable and experienced interior designer.

I had the pleasure of working with Night as my interior designer! He is incredibly attentive and responsive, always making sure to address my concerns and questions. He’s sharp in understanding what we envisioned and patient in explaining the details, which really helped me feel confident in the decisions we made together. I was particularly impressed by his ability to blend functionality with aesthetics and he has a keen eye for what works well together. Even after the renovation was completed, Night continued to follow up closely to ensure my husband and I were satisfied with everything. Grateful to have enjoyed my renovation journey with Night! (Never thought I would miss the renovation process :’))

I recently had the opportunity to work with Cecilia at Carpenters Apex on an interior design project, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. She really took the time to understand our vision and offered thoughtful advice on the laminate options that best suited our theme. Cecilia even went the extra mile to track down metallic laminates, which were exactly what we needed to create the modern, luxurious feel we wanted. Her attention to detail didn’t stop there—she handled some delicate paintwork corrections with great skill, leaving everything flawless. Throughout the project, communication was clear and timely, making the entire process much easier to manage. The showroom offered a solid selection of materials, and the carpenter and electrician were flexible and responsive to our last-minute changes. Overall, working with Cecilia was a genuinely enjoyable experience. She brought both expertise and a personal touch to the table, making the design process smooth and fun. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and thoughtful interior designer.

We met with a few interior designers and received several quotations, and Cecilia's was actually the most expensive. However, we decided to go ahead with her as she came highly recommended through word of mouth. Her experience and the positive feedback from her previous clients, especially on workmanship and responsibility, gave us the confidence to proceed. Throughout the renovation process, we really appreciated Cecilia’s responsiveness and dedication. Whenever we brought up any issues, she was quick to address them. One instance that stood out was the feature wall — the lines weren’t coloured properly by her workers, and instead of brushing it off, Cecilia personally spent the entire day correcting it to make sure it looked just right before the handover. That level of commitment meant a lot to us. As a bonus, we also received a free Secretlab chair when we signed up — a nice touch! We’ve heard horror stories about renovation experiences, but we’re glad to say ours was actually a pleasant one, thanks to Cecilia. Would recommend her if you’re looking for someone responsible and hands-on.

We engaged Cecilia one year ago to do renovation for our new 5 room flat at Tengah. We met up with her multiple times to finalize the design and she is quite patient with my wife's changes. She is also professional, responsive to our texts and can manage any hiccups in the renovation process. One year into our renovation and no defects so far. Overall she met our needs and will recommend to others who need renovation.

We met with a few companies, giving them the same scope and work and budget. After meeting Night Cheong and Jerry for the first time, their professionalism and patience left a deep impression on us. It was a fairly easy decision to proceed with Night and Jerry as they were attentive to our requirements and lifestyle needs while adhering to our renovation duration of 2 months and budget. Night was able to give us good advice due to his experience and oversaw the renovation work to ensure our new home was handed over to us well within the deadline. In fact, the work was completed early and we could move into our new home sooner than expected. Workmanship (carpentry) is good and the subcontractors Night engaged (electrician, plumber, aircon, painters) turned in good work as well. After moving in, we noticed there were some errors and touch up required. Night was very responsive even after full payment had been made and acted quickly to rectify them. We are very pleased with the renovation work and would highly recommend Night and Jerry to anyone looking to renovate their homes.
Thanks for the kind words! We’re glad you’re happy with how everything turned out. It was great working on your project, and we truly appreciate your support.

We worked with Cecilia from Carpenters for the renovation of our cosy studio space at Oxley Bizhub. Our previous design was rigid with poor lighting. She helped with space and lighting planning and understood our love for curves and implemented these design elements tastefully across different areas of the studio. A fun and pleasant experience working with Cecilia and will always go back to her if we need any help! Thank you!

The company's design is aesthetically pleasing and aligns well with our needs. However, the workmanship is subpar, as many issues have arisen in less than a year. Initially, I noticed that I could not use 3M Hanging Strips on the wall because the paint would peel off, indicating that the painting was not done to a standard quality. Later, when the paint on the ceiling began to fall, it became evident that the job was not just substandard but of very poor quality. Additionally, the cracks in the door frame, which have persisted since the project was completed, highlight a fundamental flaw caused by the company during the hacking and rebuilding process. This issue remains unresolved, with the only viable solution being to redo that portion of the project entirely. The honest staff even shared that it will get worse gradually, which is true when there's noise coming out from the other door which is linked to the crack frame door. Moreover, the so-called "magic track," for which I paid nearly SGD 1,000, also developed problems within a year. While the design appears attractive on the surface, the underlying quality is severely lacking.

Overall, our experience with the interior designer has been less than satisfactory. I recently just came across her negative review on Google from last year. Initially, we had a positive impression of the ID, as they even assisted us in assembling Taobao furniture. However, once we had paid 95% of the contract amount, things took a turn for the worse. Despite seeing many positive reviews, our personal experience was far from great. We encountered several issues, such as the recommendation of a non-EMA licensed electrician, subpar paintwork that began cracking even before the handover and renovated partition wall that couldn't support our 75-inch TV. Additionally, there were multiple delays in the handover process. To add to our disappointment, we were only informed about a variation order (VO) after some of the work had already been completed. Some of the requests were made in August/September, but we received the VO only in October. In my opinion, considering the price we paid to the ID (65k excluding wirings and fittings), the quality did not match our expectations. I let the pictures tell the story of my renovation nightmare.
We are writing to address the review posted regarding the services provided by Carpenters. We believe it is essential to clarify certain aspects of the situation, which we consider to be misrepresented in the review.
In June 2023, Carpenters initiated a small claims tribunal against the homeowner due to their refusal to settle the remaining balance after the completion of their home renovation project.
We understand that the homeowner have expressed concerns about the workmanship, pricing, and variation orders in your review.
However, we must emphasize that these claims were thoroughly examined in the court proceedings, and the outcome of the tribunal was in favor of Carpenters.
On 27 June 2023, our representative attended the hearing alongside the homeowner. The Small Claims Tribunal in the Republic of Singapore has issued an order for the homeowner to pay the agreed remaining balance,
validating the fairness and quality of our services. During the court hearing, our representative demonstrated that all necessary defect rectifications were carried out within a reasonable timeframe as agreed upon with the homeowner.
Furthermore, an agreement was reached during the mediation process, with the homeowner committing not to post any negative reviews related to the project or variation orders.
Regrettably, after the mediation, the homeowner took actions that exploited ambiguities in the agreement and proceeded to post negative reviews on platforms such as Hometrust and Qanvast,
This behavior is not in line with the spirit of the mediation agreement and has had a significant adverse impact on our company's reputation.
In light of the above, we kindly request that you reconsider your decision to maintain the negative review.
However, should you choose not to reconsider, please be advised that we are prepared to take formal legal action to protect the integrity and reputation of our company.
We hope to resolve this matter amicably and without the need for further legal proceedings.
We believe that a fair and accurate representation of our work is essential to maintain our reputation in the industry.
Thank you.

We started our renovation journey Q1 of 2021 and I started to look for the most suitable ID. We had our 1st reno back in 2015 and now decided to do another reno to add another room to our 3room HDB. I met with numbers of ID and shortlisted 3 of i think 15 IDs i spoke with. These 3 IDs quotations are not far from each other but I chose Carpernters because of Nicole (ID). They are not the lowest quote I got but engaging an ID, price is not just the qualification that you should look for but who is the ID you will be working with thru this tedious process. To make this 3rm to have 3 bedroom is the real challenge i guess. Nicole made her 1st proposal design based on the layout of what we intended but then we changed our mind.Nicole was the 1st one who submitted her proposal a day after we discussed (1am the following day). I saw the 1st characteristic of her that i should engage with, hardworking and paying attention to what client needs. Then when i discussed with her that we changed our plan where to locate the other room she was very patient to listed one by one to what I want (my wishlist). This is the MOST important attitude you should look for in an ID, PATIENT… she is also very professional and punctual as we have very specific timing when do we need to move in as we only have limited budget to spend our stay in hotel. She made a whole day also to sit down and discussed all details again one by one and is very patient with those minor details i wanted to amend. I will not think twice to recommend her and Carpenters to my friends.
Thanks for the kind words! We’re glad you’re happy with how everything turned out. It was great working on your project, and we truly appreciate your support.

Chris and Jin Hao has been working together on our home, and it has been an enjoyable and wonderful experience working with them. From the initial stages of understanding our needs to proposing different ideas that infused practicality and aesthetics - they were able to curate and tailor our needs according to our budget. During the renovation, they're contactable (within 24hrs as they're also dealing with other projects) and quite responsive to answer our queries and doubts which helps to make this journey more guided and a pleasant one. With their past experience and connections, we were glad that they were able to not only accomplish our beautiful home at our desired budget range, but also in good time - especially so in a difficult time during this covid period. Post Renovation, we still keep in contact as friends and they're always availing themselves if there's any rectification works to be done. Truly professional and dedicated to our project! Would recommend Carpenters as they have their own factory locally that produces the carpentry work!
We really appreciate your review! It’s great to hear that you’re satisfied with the results. Thank you for choosing Carpenters SG, and we’re grateful for your trust in us.

My hubby and I are so glad we had Cecilia as our ID despite ours being a very small project only. Her responsiveness, timely updates and professionalism made us very assured throughout the reno journey despite all the covid issues affecting many businesses. The costs were very reasonable and ideas presented were in line with what we had in mind. Actual reno was smooth, well-managed and very punctual, also workmanship was fantastic. Post-reno when I had some minor issues after moving in, she immediately sent help over the next morning to check and rectify. I'll highly recommend new homeowners to look for Cecilia from Carpenters to design and reno their new place if you want a fuss-free experience and a beautiful place to call home.
Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We’re glad to know everything turned out just as you envisioned. Your support and trust in our team truly mean a lot.
