Cleaning Hacks That Simplify Your Life

Cleaning is boring and annoying, but unfortunately necessary. It’s insane when you think of how much time you have spent washing, scrubbing, rinsing and dusting while you could have done something more pleasant. You might think that this is the only way you can fight the dirt. Indeed, you will achieve the desired results, but why waste time and effort when you can deal with it quickly and easy? Ditch the commercial cleaning products and the tiring practices. Here are some easy solutions for the most tedious tasks for your kitchen, living room and the bathroom.

##The Kitchen
###Oven

Oven cleaning is one of the most difficult chores, especially if you had neglected it for a while. Make it less painful by sprinkling baking soda over the bottom of the appliance. Then spray water over it. You can also make a paste by mixing the soda and water together prior to applying it. Then cover the surface. Let it sit overnight. You can speed up the process by heating up the oven after layering the baking soda cleaner. Then wait until it cools down and scrub the surface.

###Microwave
Place a microwave – safe bowl filled with dishwashing detergent and water into the appliance for a minute. Then wipe the surface with a wet sponge.

###Countertops and Stainless Steel
Remove the marks from the stainless steel with baby oil and a clean rug. For marble, granite or any stone countertops use a solution of flour and hydrogen peroxide. Create a creamy consistency and use when needed.

##The Living Room
###Carpet
Nothing can save carpets from unintentional spills and stains. Remove the greasy spot by covering it with salt. Wait for a couple of minutes and vacuum it. Another way to deal with the persistent stains is by using an iron, vinegar, water and a clean rag. Mix two parts of water and one part vinegar in a spray bottle and put over the dirty area. Lay down the damp rag and go over with the iron. Set the device on a steam setting.

###Furniture
Remove the stains from your microfiber furniture with a rubbing alcohol. Apply the ingredient by spraying over the area. Then rub with the sponge. Smooth the fibres with a bristle brush. Breathe a new life into the leather furniture by hiding the scratches and restoring the faded colour with a shoe polish. Don’t forget to use an appropriate polish tone for your appliances.

###TVs and other screens
You don’t need fancy cleaners to wipe TV screens and monitors. You can effectively clean these dust with coffee filters.

##The Bathroom
###Walls and Floor
Get rid of the grout mould with bleach and baking soda.

###Sink
Baking soda and a citrus solution works on any type of sink. Combine the juice of one lemon and 2 tablespoons of baking soda and you are good to go.

###Bathtub
Remove the bathtub rings with a sliced grapefruit and slat. First, put the salt and then rub with the fruit.

###Shower
Clean the build up on your showerhead by putting a plastic bag filled with vinegar around the showerhead.

Cleaning need not necessarily be hard. You can achieve marvellous results with simple and smart solutions.
