Eat, Play, Love in Punggol

Many would remember Punggol as the town known for seafood restaurants and sea sports but in recent years, it has developed into a hotbed for young newlyweds to build their love nests. At Qanvast, we know that many of our users are moving into Punggol soon, so here's our public service announcement on the recreational spots and bistros that you can look forward to at the north-eastern side of Singapore. These range from F&B outlets to parks to golf, and even a ranch! There is truly something for everyone.

Families can start your day horsing around the Punggol Ranch Resort. Choose from the wide array of activities like horse-riding, stable tours, horseback archery, and end your unique family outing with a weekend staycation at the gallop wagons.

If horses are not your thing, enjoy the facilities at Marina Country Club at a small fee if you are not a member or take a nature trail walk on Coney Island and at the same time, give your child a lesson on biodiversity.

Those looking for urban escapades can take a slow walk and unwind by the river at the Park Connector. Bask in the tranquility and the panoramic sea views of Pulau Ubin and the Straits of Johor at Punggol Point Park while your children play in the sand-filled playground - a rarity in Singapore these days.

Sports and fitness enthusiasts will find a whole host of activities from cycling, jogging, water sports, to golf. Spend a day basking under the sun, and treat yourself to an ice-cold beer at the end of it all.

When you are done with your activities, head to Punggol Settlement or Punggol Point where restaurants overlook the coastline and Straits of Johor. You can find old time favourites like House of Seafood or Punggol Seafood (Old Hock Kee), or go for the newfangled Bacon and Booze and Sakura Charcoal Grilled and Shabu Shabu.

At the end of the day, imagine returning home to one these wonderfully designed apartments in Punggol. What a treat it will be!

1. This fun apartment with an open concept uses wood heavily to create an inviting space. The tone of the wood used darkens progressively from the living area to the bedroom to evoke different moods.

3. An industrial x contemporary apartment, the designers have combined a brick wall, cement wall and wood flooring elegantly to create a chic, not confused apartment. Pops of red break the monotony of the muted colours.

4. Another apartment that uses wood heavily, but to a different effect. Dark wood flooring and warm lighting create a very sultry, mysterious mood. This is carried into the bedroom, which is entirely black, deepening the mysterious atmosphere.
