Quick and easy.
Whether you’ve just collected the keys to your new BTO flat or are planning a renovation for a resale home, you’ll need one very important document before starting anything else: your HDB floor plan.
Fortunately, getting your floor plan is pretty straightforward. Here’s how to download your HDB floor plan, how much it costs (if any), and what the process looks like for both BTO and resale flats.
So, how do I download my HDB floor plan?
The process is pretty quick. Just follow these steps:
- Go to the HDB portal and login via SingPass.
- Fill in your particulars, details of the floor plan you’re purchasing (i.e. the address and unit type) and mode of payment. Confirm your details before proceeding to payment.
- Voila! You should receive a soft copy of your floor plan via email.

Yes, if you’re buying a BTO flat, you typically don’t have to pay to access its floor plan. You can either download your specific unit floor plan for free via the HDB portal, or look it up via the project’s sales brochure.
Just a heads up, though: the free access to the application portal won’t be available after you’ve collected your keys – so be sure to get your floor plan before then!

For resale HDB flat homeowners, things will work a little differently. Unless you’re able to find an existing floor plan for your unit (be it through the property agent or online), you’ll likely need to purchase it via HDB’s Purchase of Residential Floor Plan e-Service.
Just follow the steps we gave above and then make your payment – it’ll cost $5 to get a digital PDF copy of the floor plan. In most cases, the floor plans are available for instant download – but for older flats, the retrieval process may take a couple of working days.
