Dyson’s newest cordless vacuum leaves its competition in the dust.
If you’re a tech-savvy homemaker who favours smart accessories to help you around the house, you’ll be delighted to know that Dyson has released its latest iteration of its successful line of cordless vacuum cleaners, the V11.
It might not have changed much visually, but on the inside? It’s a whole different matter. For a start, the V11 has the most powerful digital motor to date and it comes with other special features, such as an intelligent load sensor, an LCD digital display and a variety of handy cleaning attachments that will sweep you (plus the dirt) away!
Here are some of the V11’s key features:
1. Intelligent sensor that adapts power to flooring surface
The V11 Absolute+ comes with 3 modes – Auto, Eco and Boost. Turning on the ‘Auto’ mode activates the Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) system, which detects the resistance of the brush bar and automatically increases or decreases the suction power when you move from carpets or rugs to hard floors and vice versa. This saves you the trouble of fiddling with multiple power settings and takes the hassle out of changing vacuum heads. Intelligent technology for a fuss-free cleaning experience!
If you prefer more control over the V11, feel free to toggle between Boost and Eco mode. The Boost mode, as its name implies, gives you greater suction power for that stubborn, ground-in dirt. Perfect for deep cleaning.
On the other hand, Eco mode gives you up to 60 minutes of run time, which is more than enough time to clean a 4-room HDB flat of regular dust and mess. And don’t let the term Eco Mode fool you, despite the longer run time, it’s still more than capable of cleaning up everyday dust and mess.
2. Get real-time notifications and help
The V11’s new LCD screen displays a battery countdown timer for each vacuum mode selected and also sends real-time alerts on performance and maintenance. Do you find yourself forgetting to clean the filter regularly? This won’t be a problem any longer as the V11’s LCD screen will inform you of when the filter needs to be cleaned, ensuring that your machine is always performing at its best.
Located right at the top of the handle, the LCD screen is intuitive to use with its colourful, easy-to-read interface that also alerts users of any blockages (such as a stray sock that was sucked up accidentally), and more impressively, provide instructions on how to clear them too!
3. A digital motor and battery that makes the V11 the most powerful vacuum yet
Aside from its incredible interface and versatile cleaning modes, the V11 has a powerful motor that spins at 125,000 RPM (Revolutions Per Minute). That’s not all, the motor is also supported by a mighty seven-cell nickel-cobalt-aluminium battery to truly optimise power.
Naturally, this change helps deliver 20% more suction power than the Dyson V10™, making the V11 Dyson’s most powerful cordless vacuum to date. So really, one sweep is all you need to suck up the dirt and debris that’s sitting around your home – talk about efficient!
4. A fully-sealed filtration system that keeps dirt and dust locked in
A vacuum should be equipped to suck up the tiniest particles of dust and dirt and then keep them trapped inside. And, as you can guess, the Dyson V11™ has this in the bag too. With the help of 14 cyclones that pick up microscopic pollen and bacteria, the fully-sealed filtration system captures 99.7% of particles as small as 0.3 microns and keeps them trapped inside. To give you an idea of just how small that is, the width of a human hair is about 75 microns, so we’re talking really tiny!
Emptying the vacuum is easy and hygienic too, you simply push a trigger and the “point and shoot” system ejects the debris straight into your bin.

High torque cleaner head
This head is perfect for all your floor types as it combines both stiff nylon bristles that drive deep into carpet with soft, anti-static carbon fibre filaments that capture dust from hard floors and crevices. This means that you don’t need to worry about changing vacuum heads as you clean because, on Auto Mode, Dyson’s unique Dynamic Load Sensor (DLS) system will intelligently calibrate suction power to the different floor surfaces – using just this one cleaner head!
Soft roller cleaner head
Soft woven nylon helps capture large debris while anti-static carbon filaments simultaneously remove fine dust and allergens. Since this cleaner head is specifically designed for hard floors, it’s especially suitable for you if there are no carpets or rugs in your home!
