Why Modern Homeowners Will LOVE This New Superslim Tracklight System

Minimalist design, maximum aesthetic impact.

Lighting has become an increasingly important aspect in home renovations. And whether you’re renovating your entire home or simply looking to replace existing lights, you may want to consider Philips’ newly launched Superslim Trackline System.

Coupling Philips’ reliable lighting technology with a sleek, uber-modern look, it’s the one of the slimmest tracklights on the market and also modular in nature — which means you can easily switch things up when your needs/tastes change!

P.S. Read till the end for an exclusive 15% discount!

Slimmest on the market, with no false ceiling required

At 5.5mm — merely the thickness of a 50cent coin — its track boasts a super-sleek profile, ideal for minimalist and modern interiors with a clean look.

Like other track lights, there’s no need for a false ceiling, so you won’t have to lower your ceiling height (HDB ceilings are already low enough as is). Instead, one electrical outlet is all that is required to power up to 5 to 6 tracks that hold up to 3 lights each, saving you renovation costs required for building a false ceiling and/or electrical wiring works.

Plus, because of how slim it is, the Philips Superslim Trackline System can also be used as wall lights, be it in place of regular bedside lamps for reading, or as a contemporary statement piece in the living room for decorative/aesthetic purposes.

Customisable according to your interior layout

Secondly, its modular nature means that you can customise the track setup to suit your interior layout.

Want a T-shaped track? Sure. A square track with spotlights pointing to different parts of your living area? Not a problem. Come with your ID or, if you’re looking to switch your existing lights, bring a copy of your floorplan when consulting with Philips’ in-house team of lighting experts to figure out what works best.

Should the luminaires reach the end of their lifespan or if you change your mind on the types of lights you want (e.g. suspended spotlight, flood light), they’re also super easy to change by yourself. Each piece of the modular system can be purchased separately, and all you have to do is click to unlock — no technician required!

Alternatively, if you change the way you use a given space years after your renovation (e.g. a new WFH zone or cosy corner for reading), you have the option of getting the Philips team to install additional tracks for you.

As a sidenote, we’ve noticed that IDs typically recommend warm lights as they view home as a place to unwind, while homeowners often want white task lights because it’s “easier to see”.

But did you know? It’s actually the brightness of the light, rather than the colour, that matters more (warm and cool lights can have the same brightness levels). Either way, having a track gives you the best of both worlds because you can install both warm and white lights on the same track!

Pro-tip: For reduced glare, opt for linear spotlights in place of general flood lights

Versatile in function, the Philips Trackline System can also be used as entryway lighting

As at time of writing, the Philips Trackline System has ready stock available and takes only about half a day to outfit an entire home, for both new and replacing of existing lighting fixtures.

It’s a standard track light installation process, so any certified electrician (including your ID’s) can do it. Just note that if you’re looking to replace existing lights, some minor touch-up paint work (or the light) might be required depending on how the original fixtures were drilled in.
