The main reason why we chose Ovon as our ID is Raymond's prompt response and demonstrated capability in space planning following a consultation regarding our needs. He came up with a workable floor plan and was candid about our budget expectation vs requirement which we appreciate. Several IDs out there were very tardy with their responses (slow response, no response, too many estimates/guesstimates) and we were amused as some of them tried to "draw on the spot" all our requirements instead of suggesting further thoughts/some more time as our renovation requirement would be major; basically overhauling the whole place which was very run down. It helps that Ovon is HDB approved and CASE accredited which reduces the risk of errant contractors. The initial execution of the project was slow and there was a lack of communication resulting in works done which we had issues with. However, after our feedback, it is commendable that they increased the number of staff to the project (without us requesting it) and made sure we were consulted before proceeding with further works. They proposed solutions to problems discovered on the way and made prompt rectification to errors. This is our 3rd renovation experience and we find the workmanship and finishing superb. Will highly recommend Ovon for their technical expertise, pool of experienced workers, fair pricing and responsible project management.
