My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Wein and Grace (Notion of W). They came strongly recommended. From the onset, there were positive vibes. Wein did not hesitate to tell us - politely- that some of our initial ideas did not work. He counter-proposed interesting options after Internalising what we wanted. This contrasted with other shortlisted firms that were (too) eager to please. Wein’s design ideas were very original, & he played a proactive role in helping us pick out furniture & fittings that go well with the design concept. Throughout the whole renovation, Grace kept us posted about the works, and supervised so well that we trusted our new place to them (i.e. dropping by only occasionally). One of the workers from an external contractor we met commented privately that Grace meticulously noted issues, and proactively asked them to fix it. Importantly, they were very creative and accommodating when resolving last minute adjustments. Their sense of ownership is rare, and we are grateful to have them - as designers and friends today.

Wein previously did up my brother’s abode and I liked what I saw. We engaged NOW in the midst of COVID. Obviously under such circumstances, we were hit with many roadblocks, challenges and delay. Completion of first round of Renovation took longer than we collectively anticipated but Wein worked with us through that. It was indeed rather stressful for both sides. Interestingly, when we first engaged and told Wein, there will be many more renovations that will be happening at our place, I don’t think he believed me. It’s more like something a customer would say to wrangle and haggle for a better price. But 2 years on since the completion of our initial round of renovation, he knows better. We are into our 3rd round of renovation. Continuous upgrades are being done to our home. Nothing to do with any shoddy work but a conscious decision on our part to pace it out. This allowed us a chance to live in the space and decide how and what we want in the space. We decided to slowly build a home that would encapsulate both of us.. both of our personalities. And Wein has been critical in helping us do that. Especially given that we have known him for more than a couple of years and he understands our personalities and is able to pre-empt our concerns. There has been occasions where he is able to know what we like and what we don’t coupled with his knowledge and consideration of usability, practicality and quality. First round of renovation was pure and basic, The bathrooms, the living, dining, kitchen, backyard and the front yard. After a year of living in the space, we realised that we wanted to better utilise some of rooms and areas of the house, we called Wein. Second round of renovation begins - with the outfitting of the man cave, the building of a outdoor green house relaxation area, the awning for the front and moving the laundry area from the ground floor to the second. And we are now into the third round of renovations with the re-design of 2 rooms, one of which we will be using as a guest / play bedroom and the other a dressing room office. And we know this is not the last! Renovating while living in a place is not an easy feat.. and I applaud Wein’s ability in managing that. I don’t believe we are the easiest of clients but he handles it well. There is no doubt about his attention to detail and I appreciate him taking the time to get to know us as individuals and understand us. Which to me is critical especially when designing a home for more than 1 person. And the best part, he brings ideas to the table and puts forth creative solutions when hit with hurdles. Value added services he brought and brings to my table includes, he will share design related ideas around the house… I like his sense of design and style. He provides me with alternatives not only in terms of construction and build but also design elements. He saves me alot of time running around finding and looking at things, he will do the leg work and I do leverage off his network of peers. As much as I want to keep him hidden under covers so that he will have more time for my non-stop home improvements projects… I know that I can’t be that selfish.

Our first meeting with ID Wayne Pung from Notion of W already provided us with much comfort and confidence as he was very patient and professional. He recommended his design to realise our desired Scandinavian theme for our new home, he proposed and explained the renovation works that would take place, the expected and realistic timelines for each scope of work, and what it would entail. He proposed an open concept with a seamless living, dining and kitchen area by demolishing some walls which gave a spacious ambience. He had many practical suggestions for a liveable home and his proposals for paint colours, lighting fixtures, cabinetry, styling of the bathrooms and walk-in wardrobe definitely helped make our home a pleasure for ourselves and for our guests. His promptness in subsequent responses and detailing the points to our many queries also set us at ease that our timeline could be met. Wayne’s eye for design and detail, the responsibilities and capabilities of the contractors and persons that he engaged for our renovations and the high quality of works done were amongst the many plus points on why we were very happy with having selected and engaged his services. We would highly recommend Wayne and Notion of W to anyone looking for an ID that will deliver at a competitive price and on budget. Our renovation experience was a great one with him and his team!

We had the honour of engaging Wein and Grace to refurbish our resale flat after a period of 7 years rented out with the intention to move in for our own stay. It started off with a site visit to discuss the items to be done and setting expectations on timeline and the expenses involved. We were so glad that the discussion was really bilateral with great advises coming from Wein and Grace, As owners, we had ideas and thoughts, with some been very 'adventurous' and guess what, Grace and Wein took them well and was able to develop out-of-the-box solutions, on top of providing us soundly advises, just to help us with our dream home. We would rate the 2 of them, no hard selling, great listeners, patience and well co-ordinated to our most comfortable level. Sometimes having heard stories of horrible renovation experiences from friends or families, we feel so very relived to have such great experience with the team under Notion of W.
