Joanne, our Interior Designer & her PM, Sam were very accommodative right from the start. Both of them worked well with us in the family. She has a very good team of workers (including the Admin, Judy) working with her and most of them rendered good service & workmanship. In any renovations, there are bound to be some hiccups/dissatisfaction along the way that required sone attention & improvements. Rectification works were well managed by Sam responsibly. Overall my family & I are satisfied with the renovation works completed in good time by Space Concepts Design 😀

Entrepreneurial, reliable and honest team from Space Concepts. Credible and reliable despite the worst times of COVID pandemic, despite it, service delivered with zero impact on initial quote and delivery. Best of all, does whatever she can for after sales when we encounter issues. I would think a good number of other IDs would vanish the moment handover is done. 4 months since I moved in, and still friends with Joanne since this engagement :)

There should be more professionalism and ethics. We hacked the whole flooring and some walls and rebuilt some. The finishing of the walls are uneven even thought they are newly built and the firm’s in-house tiler throw the cut tiles and cement into the toilet sewage pipe. Beforehand we had reminded them several times to ensure the pipes are cleared without debris, the ID also insisted they cleared it. We did the dirty job by digging into the pipes and found big size debris, enough to choke our sewage within months of living in. ID offer help to clear, we thought that should have been done before we discover it? We think the trust are compromise. ID quarrel and assume we don’t want to pay them the balance 5%, we just waited for the debris are cleared and we paid them the balance. The toilet tiling are also not balance, causing my basin and wall to have a slanting gap. ID told us to give and take. As home owners, we give and take too much and can just pray hard that there won’t be more problems in future.
First and foremost, our sincere apologies that your experience with us has not been satisfactory to you, unlike the vast majority of our clients.
We would like to respond to your post and share our point of view.
From the start of the project, we have done our very best and been very responsive to address all the issues that you have raised up.
Every item raised have been discussed and rectified, with the exception of 1-2 issues (such as the slanted wall in the toilet) that cannot be completely resolved or rectified due to the inherent structural limitations, as the flat is an older one.
There were no other feedback or complaints upon handover and thus, we asked for the final payment a few weeks after you moved in.
This was when we were informed that there was some chokage in the toilet pipe.
As we have done throughout the project, we offered to send our plumber or specialist to resolve to the situation, but strangely, all our offers of help was rejected.
As such, we were unable to resolve the issue, find out the cause of the choke or even verify if there was any chokage at all.
It came to a point that we were left flabbergasted as you refused to pay us the final payment, citing the chokage, but yet refused to let us resolve the issue.
It was unfortunate that only upon being informed of our intention to start legal proceedings to claim our monies, then the you agreed to hire a 3rd party plumber, which we have offered to pay for from the start.
Eventually, the issue was easily resolved by the 3rd party plumber when he came.
Upon the resolution of this issue, with no further issues raised, we finally received the the final payment that was due to us.
As such, we were surprised to see such a negative review written on our services, and we felt compelled to give our version of what transpired.
