Interior Designer Reviews

We had the pleasure of working with Caleb for our 4-room BTO renovation, and he made the entire journey incredibly smooth and stress-free. Caleb is a true professional—direct, honest, and extremely patient. He has a great eye for detail and the experience to back it up; we really appreciated how he was assertive about what would or wouldn’t work, ensuring our ideas were actually practical. Most importantly, he was always mindful of our budget and made sure his design plans stayed within our means. There’s nothing this guy couldn’t do – 1/he could design and draw on the spot during our initial conversations, 2/provide exact measurements so that we can visualise and proceed with our furniture/appliance shopping, 3/personally accompanied us in sourcing tiles, sintered stone and limewash, and recommended a suitable colour palette to fit our theme. We appreciate his flexibility too, as he was able to accommodate and coordinate extremely well with our external contractors for other works, and even went the extra mile to facilitate the onsite process when we were overseas. The workmanship is excellent and the communication was seamless throughout. We are so happy with how our dream home turned out and highly recommend Caleb to anyone looking for a reliable, talented designer. :)

Before deciding on an ID, my wife and I reached out to several firms and compared proposals, design direction, communication style, and overall confidence in execution. We ultimately chose Aestherior because they stood out as the most balanced team: strong design thinking, solid technical knowledge, and consistently responsive from the first conversation. Jing Wen led the early stage and set the foundation with drafts, space planning, moodboards and renders. What impressed us was how she designed with real life in mind. We have two kids (an infant and a toddler), so we needed a home that isn’t just nice to look at, but practical, safe, and easy to maintain day-to-day. She thought through the layout and details thoroughly, and she also guided us through material selection on-site (finishes, laminates, colours, etc.), explaining options clearly and helping us pick combinations that stayed cohesive without being overwhelming. She was patient through our countless queries and revisions, and still kept everything aligned with our needs. Once renovation works started, Caleb took the lead on the technical execution and site coordination. He was structured, direct, and extremely sharp with on-site details. He explained technical constraints clearly, proposed practical solutions to meet our needs, and ensured the works stayed aligned with what was agreed. Whenever we requested changes or needed rectifications, he handled them professionally and followed through properly, which gave us a lot of confidence throughout the process. Communication from both of them was consistently solid. We had a never-ending stream of questions as first-time homeowners (and juggling kids), and they never went missing. Replies were prompt and patient, updates were clear, and we always felt supported rather than left guessing. Even after handover, they’re still assisting us whenever we need advice, whether it’s the usual settling-in checks and minor defects follow-ups that come with a new home, or the occasional “oops” moments/accidents that happen in a space with kids 😜. That level of aftercare is rare, and it really shows their responsibility and commitment to their clients. They were also mindful of our budget and practical about trade-offs, and timeline management was steady with clear communication along the way. Overall, the service and workmanship quality were excellent, and the entire journey felt far less stressful because they were reliable and accountable. The ultimate standout is their teamwork: Jing Wen’s meticulous design strength paired with Caleb’s precise technical execution made them a true dream team. We were so satisfied that we also engaged them for my in-laws’ BTO renovation. We wouldn’t commit twice if it wasn’t genuinely worth it. If you’re looking for an ID firm that’s strong in both design planning and technical execution (and won’t disappear when you start asking 101 questions), Aestherior is an easy recommendation!

We engaged them for a full renovation, including tiling, toilets, and carpentry, and the experience was smooth from start to finish. They listened closely to our ideas, were very flexible with changes, and helped guide us toward the right colour combinations. The final outcome turned out exactly as we hoped—cozy with great lighting. I’d definitely recommend them, especially if you prefer a team that’s open to different styles and adapts to what you like.

We have chosen Aestherior as we found Jing Wen is meticulous, she made effort to research to give us a total cost perspective to include optional items for our consideration and comparison. She is accommodating and easy to communicate with. We share our needs and expectations with her; she translated our ideas and reimagined our old space into a functional one with aesthetic designs. With her advise, we agreed with her to keep the reno style clean, neutral and soft with one or two bold colours for impact. The overall style gives our home an elegant and comfortable vibe. When we highlighted the issues, she was quick to respond and address them. She took accountability and focused on resolving rather than making excuses. Despite some hiccups and delays she effectively managed and rectified the unforeseen issues. We are impressed by the skill and workmanship of the tiler, and the quality of work is remarkable. We appreciate her gesture to absorb and waive some minor and unforeseen costs and keeping within our budget by sourcing alternatives supplier without compromising on style and functionality. Jing Wen has transformed our home into a dream home!

Renovating our first home was a huge milestone for me and my wife, and we're glad to have engaged Jing Wen as our ID. While renovation can often be a stressful process, Jing Wen made ours into a seamless and exciting one. From the start, we felt truly heard as she respected our preferences, explained pros and cons clearly, and ensured that every detail was taken care of. Additionally, the project was completed right on schedule - something we've heard isn't always the case for most people. And the end result is a beautiful and cozy space that we're proud to call our home. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dedicated ID!

Before I selected the ID company Aestherior, I've came across Qanvast which allowed me to get some ideas on how I'd like my future home to look like. The designs by Aestherior caught my eye, and I did some research on the company as well as approached other ID companies to quote for my home. The house was a resale, and there were existing items that we'd like to keep instead of remodel, so we asked the IDs we've approached to provide us with ideas on the best option. From Aestherior, Caleb took up my request. After a 1st visit and subsequent discussions on reno expectations, my husband and I decided to go with Caleb. We find him to be responsive, approachable, trustworthy and very capable in his work. Throughout our reno journey, Caleb has been very patient in advising us as well as recommending practical solutions that could help us in making decisions. Even when we were being indecisive, he would explain on which choice would be better for us. He was also able to let us know if our choice is not the best option, before the reno starts and he kept us in close communication loop on the reno updates when the reno work started. He has went above and beyond, helping us with matters that truly showed him as an experienced and practical designer. The agreed quote and variation orders did not surprise us, as Caleb would explain to help us understand the quotation, and communicate with us before we make certain decisions for him to proceed with the agreed work. He was able to help us keep to our budget for the overall reno cost, there were no hidden costs or unreasonable add-ons of the quote, and the timeline he provided was able to meet our move in date. We can say that the service and workmanship quality provided by Caleb have truly fulfilled and even exceeded our expectations for engaging an ID for our reno journey, and we would highly recommend Caleb and Aestherior to our friends. Thank you Caleb!

We started our reno journey through HomeMatch and Sebrina was one of the shortlisted IDs we met. She stood out because she really listened to what mattered most to us and managed to work most of our requests into the final design. As first-time homeowners, we were grateful for her patience in guiding us through every part of the process and explained everything clearly, which made a huge difference. The meetings were spaced out nicely and once things got rolling, the reno moved along pretty quickly. We got a clear timeline early on, which helped us plan the delivery of our furniture and appliances. Sebrina also kept us updated with regular photos and videos, so we always knew how things were going on-site. Communication was smooth throughout–she was always contactable and usually responded to our WhatsApp messages within a day or two. The only downside was that our final bill ended up being 20-30% higher than the original quotation. Part of this was our own doing—we opted for upgrades like fluted glass panels and soft-closing sliding doors. However, the electrical costs did go beyond what was initially estimated. In hindsight, we should’ve clarified that better during the Variation Order discussions, but by the time we realised, we were a bit late and just went ahead with the revised costs. That said, working with Sebrina from Aestherior was still a great experience overall. We really appreciate her eye for detail–even things like the way cabinet doors swing weren’t overlooked. We’re happy with how our home turned out. It looks almost exactly like the renderings and we even managed to find furniture we love that fits perfectly with the overall design!

Dearest Jing Wen, thank you for the wonderful work you have done in designing and overseeing the renovation of our home. Your creativity and patience have truly transformed our home into something more beautiful than we ever could imagine. We are very happy with how everything turned out and it has been a pleasure working with you for making our home a special place to live in. Thank you once again for your amazing work!

We have worked with Sebrina twice. She is always patient, meticulous and creative to work with. She will listen attentively to our family needs and requirements. There are times that we need to go back to the drawing board or made some changes along the way. She was patient and accomodating through out the whole renovation process. Even with a tight space, she is able to design a cosy living space for our family. Will recommend people to her.

I had the pleasure of working with Sebrina Soong for our interior design project, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Sebrina's attention to detail and her ability to create a modern yet practical design really impressed us. Right from our initial meeting, she took the time to understand our lifestyle and preferences, ensuring that her recommendations were perfectly tailored to suit our needs. One of the standout aspects of working with Sebrina was her reasonable pricing. We found her quote to be fair and transparent, especially given the quality of her work. The overall design she delivered was exactly what we had envisioned: minimalist yet infused with unique design elements that added character to our space. The featured wall right at the entrance of our house was particularly stunning—it's become a real wow factor and a favorite spot for capturing Instagram-worthy moments. If you're looking for an interior designer who combines creativity with practicality, Sebrina Soong is definitely the one to choose. We're thrilled with the results of our project and wouldn't hesitate to work with her again.

We have went through a list of IDs from Qanvast and decided to go with Jingwen from Astherior. Jingwen is very friendly and receptive, offering various advices while listening to what we wanted for our dream home. As it’s our first house, Jingwen also came up with some ideas to show us and gave us options to choose from, pros and cons to some choices. During the whole process, Jingwen was patient and was also helpful to assist us to change the 3D drafts and quotations as there were some changes and we could not decide. She also constantly updated us on the reno updates via WhatsApp and the timeline of the Reno to ensure smooth completion and for us to move in. Even after we have moved in, Jingwen got her contractors to come down to our house to rectify some of the minor issues we spotted swiftly. Thank you Jingwen for helping us to create a cozy home for us!
