Engaging Goodman Interior was the worst decision of my first-time homeownership journey. I fell for their FB ads and 5-star Google reviews, but it became a total nightmare due to poor workmanship, lack of communication, and terrible contractor management. Here is the breakdown of my experience: Floor Tiling & Epoxy Grouting: The tile layout and grout lines were never advised and discussed by my ID. Poor tiling badly affected the epoxy grouting. The tiler blamed the materials and claimed unevenness just happens, making me suspect no pre-checks were done. I was kept in the dark until the end of the reno. My ID claimed had checked it and found no issues, forcing me to accept it. Furthermore, epoxy grouting was missing on several lines. My ID noticed this but hid it from me to "settle it first"—a massive lack of professional transparency. The rectification was botched with a mismatched color tone. I ultimately declined further fixes out of fear they would damage the tiles. Electrical Works: The ceiling fan was poorly installed, causing a loose top canopy and loud noise (rectified). A power point was also badly installed, leaving visible holes between the socket and the wall (rectified). Carpentry: I provided reference photos for my living room, dining, and bedroom settees, but the final outcome looks nothing like them. My ID failed to provide 3D or technical drawings before fabrication, causing massive miscommunication. The settee lids are misaligned, which the carpenter blamed on "hinges and measurements." My ID also overlooked a kitchen beam, forcing the top cabinet to be completely redone, and left a gap between the kitchen cabinets and mortar unsealed through two rectifications. Contractor Conduct: I caught the sliding door contractor smoking inside my living room on a Saturday, completely ignoring the "No Smoking" sign on the front door. The corner of the bedroom sliding door frame was damaged during installation and my ID failed to spot it (rectified). The toilet sliding door was poorly installed (rectified). I bumped into cleaners at my house at 7:45 PM without prior notice. My ID had zero control over their contractors. Painting: I caught a painter working at 7 PM who intended to stay until 10 PM. Painting should be done in proper daylight. The initial quality was terrible—patchy, uneven, with visible white and black spots across the house, requiring a full repaint. Windows: A bedroom window was damaged, causing a loud creaking sound. My ID absurdly blamed "wear and tear," even though the windows stayed closed before renovation and I hadn't even moved in yet. I also found a dent on the window mullion near handover which I declined to fix. ID Communication: My ID was assigned by the company. Throughout the project, some updates and rectifications were never shared promptly; I had to chase for information. I had to spot almost every defects and verify the rectifications myself. General cleaning was not done properly, the bomb shelter was dusty and some stains on the floor were not removed. Protection sheet was not removed properly under the main door. Goodman Interior advertises an "experienced team and skilled craftsmen," but my experience proves otherwise. Even after handover, defects remain. With this many severe lapses, they do not deserve a 5-star review and I deeply regret choosing them.

Eddie was recommended by my friend who has a very good and smooth renovation done by Eddie. After meeting up with a few companies, my husband and I decided to engage Eddie. My husband felt that Eddie was practical, a good listener and trustworthy. For myself, I appreciate Eddie for his promptness, be it in replying messages, when meeting up and of course in the whole renovation process. And we worked within our timeline and budget. Also, he has a group of experienced and reliable team, mainly locals or Malaysians who are very friendly too.

I got to know Goodman Interior through a mutual friend. One of the things that made me decide to engage them was from the very first design and layout shown to my wife and I. The experience working with them was smooth. There was no issue, he was prompt to follow up and updates us during the whole process. What impressed me was how they took time and effort to explain my doubts and questions. The ID managed the project well and it was all good, we were able to move in slightly earlier than estimated completion schedule that was given. Overall, I would strongly recommend to others their good services.

Since it was a recommendation from a friend, I trusted the ID to do a great job on my renovation. The project manager Eddie kept us updated on the project constantly. I was impressed with his project management skills as I can see that he has a close rapport with a team of carpenters and contractors. He is able to manage the project well and handover the project within the timeframe given. Even after the project handover, Eddie made sure that everything was done after the renovation was complete. He assured us that we could contact him if there were any issues after!

I got to know Eddie Tan from Goodman Interior through my sibling's friend recommendation. I then went to view their previous works on an Interior platform website. I took a liking on their signature style and decided to contact them to discuss more on my renovation plans. Before making my decision to choose a suitable ID, I met up with other IDs but found Eddie was very helpful in answering my queries. As I knew what design I wanted, I shared with him my requirements and Eddie advised me what is necessary or not. I requested Eddie to design for me a practical home that could cater for children and elderly. Eddie listened and understood my needs. He helped to select and choose the materials needed. We needed to move in quickly as there was a timeline to meet and he managed to handle the project well. During the renovation works, I had to travel for work and was not able to be on site to check on things so Eddie made sure that everything was in order thus there was no issues and I was so satisfied with his work that I recommended his services to my Nephew!

During our first meeting, we felt that the ID gave us sincere advice. He shared with us the materials which are good, what should we buy for our home etc. As a new homeowner, we have a lot of ideas and suggestions and our ID was patient with our requirements and wants. He managed to listen attentively and works closely with us. We felt that he was quite accommodative thus he handled the project smoothly!

I first found out about Goodman via Facebook. Eddie made my renovation journey an easier process as he was very responsive to our queries and very helpful in all areas! He mostly oversees the entire journey in making sure that everything runs smoothly without any problem along the way. All was done efficiently and we are very satisfied with the outcome of our new home.

Out of all the other IDs, they gave us a very reasonable price for the reno and they were not pushy in selling their services! The carpentry was nicely done and we had a sliding glass door for our kitchen! Eddie was accommodative and took the extra mile to help us arrange with the vendor when we had purchased a television. As my working schedule is busy, Eddie managed to handle the project well and reminded us of anything that we had overlooked upon. Overall, Eddie did a great job and I even recommended his services to two of my friends.
