I had the pleasure of working with Lawrence as my interior designer, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Lawrence’s exceptional design sensibility and impeccable taste transformed my space into a true masterpiece. Right from the beginning, Lawrence took the time to understand my vision and preferences, carefully listening to my ideas and sharing his professional advice on what works and doesn’t. My husband and I found Lawrence/Between Walls through Qanvast, and Lawrence stood out from all the IDs we spoke to right from the get go -- he's very experienced, meticulous, thoughtful and honest with us about the cost and timelines. Unlike other IDs, his proposals are well-thought both from a design and practicality standpoint. He was the only one who did a 3D mock-up at the proposal stage too. The renovation process was smooth-sailing, with unforeseen issues being effectively managed by Lawrence. The entire project lasted 3 months just as we expected and Lawrence was very hands on throughout -- he even dropped by furniture stores with us just to see if the couch colour works well for us. We felt very comfortable raising any concerns or queries we have on furniture and appliances, and Lawrence has been extremely responsive and patient in addressing them. Our home looks beautiful and this project with Between Walls exceeded our expectations in so many ways. We'll definitely be working with Lawrence again for future renovation works. Will also be recommending him to our friends (we've gotten so much compliments already). Thanks, Lawrence!

100% recommend Lawrence for interior design and renovation projects. I was very skeptical of going to big ID firms due to project delays and non-responsiveness which is very common among most of them. Luckily, I got introduced to Lawrence. Even though I got quotes from a lot of ID firms, I found Lawrence one the most meticulous and honest (though not cheapest :) but was very fair. And best thing that I liked was that unlike most other IDs, he did not say blindly yes to my every request but rather gave me good suggestions and the best options. His recommendations were always top notch. He was very responsive (and very hands-on) and listened to all our requests very patiently. I did whole house renovation, which involved a lot of hacking and rebuilding of walls. And for most design across different rooms, we only gave him rough ideas and he came up with best design options. His style is very modern and all his recommendations including lights, doors, switches, tiles etc. were on-trend. Quality of work and materials used are great too! Really happy with the final result!! You can not go wrong with Lawrence!!

We waited for 14 years before we finally renovated our home and shortlisted 3 Interior Design firms. Eventually, we chose Between Walls Pte Ltd to renovate 2 projects: both our home and our law firm office. Between Walls Pte Ltd might be a relatively new company, but Lawrence Tan had been working in this industry for 9 years. He chose to strike out on his own only recently, around 2021. His quotes were fair and delivered the most value for money amongst the three quotes we considered. His quote was not the lowest, but comparing his previous projects with the projects done by another company, Lawrence’s work was visually superior and more functional. He was professional, responsible and he performed his work with integrity. If there were costs savings from a change in choice of materials, he returned these costs savings to us. He respected our wishes, even though our choice of furniture deviated slightly from the overall design. He did not hard-sell us a theme and did not try to dissuade us from building a full kitchen which we needed to prepare meals for guests. Before renovations, our house was full of conflicts due to the space constraints. Now, we don’t fight over space anymore because Lawrence helped us build a home with more living space. Our family enjoyed more communal space together, but each one of us could retreat to our own private corner. The photographs speak for his quality of work.

I have retained Lawrence for 3 separate interior design projects and each one has been delivered to a high level of quality, attention to detail and within the timeframes agreed. Lawrence is hands-on throughout the process, starting from initial design consultations, planning / designing, hardware and furniture sourcing, contractor scheduling / organisation and ultimate delivery of the project. Lawrence is very patient, listens well and offers practical solutions to all issues. His design sense is modern and on-trend and he is willing to work with most design ideas I had (as we'll as not being afraid to tell me when something just would not work or look nice!). Post renovation touch-up has been handled promptly. Overall I am very happy with each of the projects Lawrence has delivered and would not hesitate to retain him for future ID projects.

Lawrence is meticulous in all aspects, from the details to functionality to practicality. Punctual in all meetings, fast in execution, great communication. Lawrence helped us renovate our Condo unit - he's has exceptional aesthetic sense, great execution capabilities, and the ability to create multiple options to bring ideas to life. After the initial renovation, we've worked with him again on smaller renovations e.g. front patio. Highly recommend his work.
