I engaged Xavier from Mu Design Studio for a complete renovation of my home because I was looking for a sleek and minimalistic design. From the initial consultation to the final touches, Xavier managed the project with great professionalism and attention to detail. Working with Xavier was a smooth and pleasant experience. He communicated clearly and responded promptly to all my queries. Xavier was able to propose creative solutions that perfectly met my needs and preferences. When I requested changes or rectifications, he handled them efficiently and without any fuss. The quality of service and workmanship was outstanding. Xavier's eye for aesthetics and functionality transformed my home into a calm and stylish space. The use of clean lines, neutral colors, and modern furnishings made my home feel more spacious and inviting. What stood out the most about Xavier was his ability to manage the project seamlessly. He took care of everything from sourcing materials to coordinating with contractors, ensuring that the project stayed on schedule and within budget. His clear communication kept me informed at every stage, which I greatly appreciated. One area for improvement could be providing more frequent updates on the project's progress, but overall, I was very satisfied with the experience.

I hired MU Design Studio for a renovation project, expecting professional work and responsibility. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and costly due to their poor workmanship and refusal to take accountability. Major Issues Faced: Defective Work – A concealed leak caused by improper sanitary installation was discovered after the renovation. Expert assessments confirmed the issue Denial of Responsibility – Despite clear evidence, MU Design Studio initially refused to acknowledge the problem and engaged a non-specialist to dispute findings Financial Burden on Me – After their refusal to fix the leak, I had no choice but to hire a certified leak specialist to rectify their mistake at my own cost Violation of Standards – The specialist's report confirmed that the concealed piping was not installed according to PUB guidelines, indicating non-compliance and poor workmanship Failure to Pay Compensation – Despite multiple discussions and agreements, MU Design Studio failed to pay within the agreed timeframe, refusing to take financial responsibility WARNING TO FUTURE CUSTOMERS If you are considering hiring MU Design Studio, think twice. Their lack of accountability, failure to meet industry standards, and unwillingness to resolve mistakes led to significant inconvenience, stress, and financial loss for me. I strongly do NOT recommend MU Design Studio to anyone looking for a reliable and responsible contractor. Choose a company that values professionalism, transparency, and quality work.

We recently undertook a new home renovation, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the results with MU design Studio. The entire process was both challenging and rewarding, transforming my living space into a cozy and functional home. From the outset, we knew we wanted to create a japandi concept and inviting atmosphere. Ultimately, we engaged MU design studio (Xavier) who helped us envision the possibilities, after running through a few ID companies. In terms of pricing, MU was the most competitive and Xavier’s initial sketch was inline with what we had in mind. Xavier was very professional, patient and delicate in the details of the entire renovation process. He listens and gave constructive/ economical idea to us whenever we couldn’t made decision. During the process, we made some amendments, Xaiver was able to handle it with any fuss. No doubt there were hiccups along the way, Xaiver had managed to resolved it to our satisfaction. Indeed, we had a good experience with MU Design Studio! Kudos to Xaiver!!! But we felt there’s still room for improvement, especially on the carpentry work!

The first meet up with Chloe gave us a good impression as she went through a checklist to cover the basic and standard design that we are expecting. She also did not hard sell any fanciful products and was practical to keep our budget within the budget. During the renovation process, she never failed to go above and beyond to coordinate the installation and schedule with contractors who were not originally arranged by her. She seamlessly managed the entire process, ensuring everything ran smoothly. Throughout the renovation, Chloe provided innovative solutions to unexpected challenges. Whether it was a layout issue or material selection, she always had creative ideas to mitigate problems. As first-time homeowners, we had concerns about long-term sustainment and cleaning. She took the time to explain potential issues related to certain design aspects due to our unique layout. This clarity was invaluable. Overall, I highly recommend Chloe and Mu Design Studio for their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to delivering outstanding results.

Xavier and Edison recently transformed my home into a beautifully cohesive and functional space. Their expertise and eye for detail were evident throughout the process. Despite facing some delays, their commitment to delivering a high-quality result never wavered. Their design choices, from the color palette to furniture selection, were spot-on and perfectly aligned with my vision. Communication was a strong suit, as they kept me informed and managed expectations effectively. While the project did experience some hiccups along the way, such as minor delays, Xavier and Edison's professionalism and dedication ensured that the end result was well worth the wait. Their ability to navigate challenges while maintaining the integrity of their design vision is commendable. In the end, my home is not only aesthetically pleasing but also incredibly functional, thanks to their hard work and creativity. I highly recommend Mu Design for anyone seeking a transformative interior design experience.

We got to know of Xavier through our relative as Xavier did the reno for their place as well. Having met up with 7 other firms before this, Xavier’s quote was the most competitive. He was a person who was easy to communicate with and listens to what we want and need. He is not pushy with his suggestions and ideas, but also shares his opinion on why certain stuff we wanted were not recommended, etc. Along the way there were certain stuff which we decided to exclude from the quote as we managed to get a cheaper deal through our bto groupbuy or friends and Xavier accommodated with us too. During the reno, there was a period he was overseas while our reno was ongoing, he got his assistant, Eve to oversee the reno, liaise with us and keep us updated on the progress. We took pretty long to decide on certain stuff especially the room and toilet doors, but both Xavier and Eve were really patient with us although we kept asking them for quote for various door options but went ahead with our own door vendor in the end. There were certain areas which were done wrongly and after we feedback to Xavier, he got it all rectified quickly for us. Due to our indecisiveness during the reno, the reno got delayed a bit and as i was also about to give birth really soon, we kept rushing Xavier near the end as we needed to move in and prep the house before baby was out. Xavier managed to make arrangements to ensure the house was in move in condition. We moved in a week before i delivered. Minor rectifications were then done after that. Workmanship wise, overall was alright but we felt the plumber and painters he worked with could do better. My parents have also engaged Xavier for their kitchen renovation as well as other works around the house and their renovation should be starting quite soon.

We had shortlisted several ID firms but eventually entrusted the renovation of our hdb resale flat to Xavier and Chloe from Mu Design Studio. On hindsight, we were immensely pleased with our decision. Xavier has a good aesthetic sense, very steady and experienced and could quickly remedy any problems that cropped up along the way. Chloe is exceptional - she was proactive and deftly managed the schedules of all the contractors which is not an easy feat given our tight renovation timeline. She also patiently dealt with all our questions and was able to win our trust with her resourcefulness and sound advice given. The contractors’ workmanship is of a high quality. We have received nothing but praises from our visitors and kudos to Xavier and Chloe for making our dream home a reality.

Worked with Jas from MU Design Studio before the TOP of my apartment. She was very forthcoming and responded to my requests very quickly. She also provided advice on the designs, materials and colour combination. After getting the keys, the project was led by Edison. He was on task and made sure that everything went smoothly without me worrying on the renovation. He will constantly update me on the progress of the work. Overall, I will recommend MU Design Studio as your ID and renovation work.

will recomed MU design! Xaiver was friendly and knowledgeable throughout the whole process, and understood our needs and design we were looking for, and answered many of our questions! He made recommendations to us when we couldn't decide, had a good eye for design and colour and compatibility. he proposed many unique designs, though we couldn't take them up due to budget constraints. Some of his designs we thought we didn't need, but end up was super practical. worksmanship wise was fine, it probably is perfect or the best, but so far some months in nothing is falling apart. During the renovation had to remind him on some changes that we mentioned, and got a few hiccups but eventually resolved. price was pretty competitive among the many IDs we spoke to. Overall will recommend to our friends!

Honestly speaking, home renovation is never a smooth sailing event when you are doing up a whole house makeover. We were thankful to have engaged MU Design as our ID. Wet work, tilier and carpentry are actually our main concern where MU Design proved to have them well provided. The workers they engaged do take into consideration of some area which can be easily overlooked, such smoothen the edge of tiles, try to align and join different tiles nicely, smooth joining of wood grain in this case for the carpentry, filing all edges of shelfs, drawers, cupboard doors, etc. Overall, we are satisfied with their work and price. 😊

Xavier, I get to know him thru friend referral. During autumn of 2022, my wife and I was very excited to reno our first home. We had something in mind on how and where to renovate our house. We had approached about 6 reno companies - meet them in person, talk about our ideas/ wants. All these 6 reno companies having such common problems that we always heard: 1. Ignorant. They are not listening, instead they want you listen to them. 2.Pretender. Everything OK during meetup. Everything not ok after follow up with them. 3.Unwilling disclose the reno cost. I had inform these reno companies upfront that I will compare the reno cost with other companies. I recalled there are 2 companies did not provide quotation. 4.Unable to commit reno time line. 5.Quotation far exceeded budget although budget already communicated. My wife and I was very nervous as we are not satisfied with the service/ reno ideas/ quotation from these 6 companies. Until one day, my friend Ivan refer Xavier to me and he already using his reno service for 2 properties. We meetup Xavier immediately in a coffeeshop at taiseng after work. To my surprise, xavier unlike other ID, he don't talk much, he's very patient and he is a great listener. He chalked down all our thoughts and inject his some ideas to beautify/ perfectize our idea. It's very amazing. Next, our concern is quotation. We told him our budget during the meetup session, he can relate all our plans and provide a reno cost range instantly. Lastly, reno timeline. We shared with him that we have very stretched timeline to move into house, about 5-6 weeks. He went into silent mode and took out his computer to check his current projects progress. After 10 mins, he was very honest and told me that 5 weeks very stretched, but if 6-7 weeks should not be an issue. We feels that we were SUPER FORTUNATE enough to meet Xavier. A week later, xavier send us the quotation and 3D drawing. We were very happy to signoff the 3D drawing and paid the deposit for the reno quotation. After 2 months, reno completed in 7 weeks.
