First met up with Charmain through my sister’s recommendation. We’re glad that we did not have to go through any sort of reno nightmare as first time homeowners. We appreciate her help to coordinate with all our external vendors for installation etc. Along the way, there were no major hiccups and Charmain was responsive and prompt in resolving any minor ones. Overall, we would recommend Ofthebox for their timeliness, responsiveness and service recovery (all of which to us, is the most important).

We had a great experience working with ofthebox for our first-ever property! From our initial meet-up with Haylee through design and execution, we were impressed by her attention to detail, methodical follow-ups and above all, sensitivity to our preferences and dislikes. Ever accommodating and thoughtful, Haylee is a designer we would highly recommend to help create your home interior visions into reality.

We’ve been to Interior designer fairs and met multiple interior designers before we came across Of the box on TikTok. We were impressed by their work and decided to proceed with them. With every project, It is impossible to expect zero ups and downs throughout. I’ve heard so many home renovation horror stories from people around me. Likewise for us, we met many hiccups along the way. However, both Jay & Charmian were reliable and very responsive to all our request. Our concerns were addressed and issues were rectified timely. Both their patience, unwavering assistance, and design ideas will be unforgettable to our home renovation process. Overall, we had a pleasant experience working with both Jay and Charmian! Thank you for the hard work and remarkable service rendered.

Love at first sight! Haylee was our ID that we were so thankful for to today, instantly after the first met and after multiple IDs meet - we knew Of the Box was the one for us. From designing - handover, we confident to share that the entire process, we had everything taken care of professionally and timely by haylee! End results turns out better than we expected. Smooth and easy going and we totally would recommend ofthebox to anyone doing renovations. Love it! ❤️

We engaged Charmian as our ID and we are very happy with the outcome of our new home. Charmian was respectful of our budget and timeline and was able to translate our brief into functional yet beautiful designed home. She has a fantastic eye for color and style, and she was able to seamlessly blend our personal preferences and didn’t push us into any trendy designs. Charmian also has a good working relationship with her team of contractors and vendors. The workmanship and carpentry are good and while we had some hiccups with the lights and curtains vendors towards the tail end they resolved as quickly as they could. As a project manager Charmian also kept us informed throughout the process and moved things up as best as she could, then readily addressed any questions or concerns we had - we did have to follow up a few times but she always responds. We needed more rectifications post handover but she still responded promptly. We are glad to have partnered with Charmian!

We had the pleasure of working with Charmian from OfTheBox for our recent interior design project, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Charmian is knowledgeable and responsive, always available to address any queries or concerns we had. Despite being quite hands-off throughout the project, we felt confident having Charmian manage it for us. Charmian provided constant updates, even going above and beyond to communicate while she was on leave. She made a great effort to keep the project within the timeline, despite some unavoidable delays due to the renovation coinciding with CNY, resulting in a 2-3 week break. Nevertheless, we were able to complete the renovation in 3 months, which was impressive. The workmanship of Charmian's contractors was of high quality, with minimal touch-ups required. Any rectifications needed were promptly attended to. I'm truly grateful for Charmian's patience, support, and dedication to ensuring our project was a success. I highly recommend Charmian and OfTheBox for anyone looking for a reliable and skilled interior designer.

Had an amazing time with ofthebox! Managed to get Charmian as our interior designer! The amount of professionalism and detailing design efforts really matched closely to what we had on our mind! As a skeptic, I am actually quite impressed at how close they can match to the render designs. I’m sure a lot of ID create stuff that can’t match to the renders most of the time (hearing from colleagues/friends). Yes, there were some disagreements on some designs but I am glad that we followed most of charmian’s recommendations. As all of my designs have really disappointed me and had to get rid of it (don’t waste your money guys, listen to her). So glad at our final product during handover which is today, 9th Dec 2023. So highly recommended!!

Chanced upon Ofthebox via Instagram like many new homeowners looking for IDs and we were immediately impressed by the portfolio with their wide ranges of styles and design. Before meeting Jay, we met 5-6 other IDs. Despite having a mood board and rough idea with what we wanted in our new home such as the layout, color themes, and style, none of the other IDs could understand what we really wanted in our home. This is due to the fact that there was no one specific theme to our project, but rather a mix of different themes and things that we have observed when we visit other friend's home. On the first meeting with Jay, we immediately clicked and he demonstrated a keen understanding of our vision and needs. That was the same day that we decided to hire Jay from Ofthebox as our Interior Designer. To new home owners such as us, we often hear about reno-horror stories and I can safely say whilst there were hiccups here and there (which is normal), they were minimal. Throughout the renovation process, Jay was always there to answer any questions we have at any time of the day. He was also always in the loop with the relevant contractors to ensure the job was done correctly if he was not on site. There were small errors along the way due to miscommunications but they were addressed timely. Being our first home, there were many new things to learn for us, from choosing the right materials to lightings, etc. There were many doubts from us due to the lack of experience but Jay was always helpful in answering our queries. One thing that stood out that I appreciated was that Jay did not just blindly gave us what we wanted but shared with us based on his experience ideas and opinions on different solutions that would help in things like user-experience or practicality. The renovation process for first time home owners is always a scary path, a bunch of what-ifs, an expensive bet if the end results does not turn out as expected. We were truly glad that we chose Ofthebox as our IDs and gladly seek their services again in the future should we get a new place. ≈For your help in making our idea come to fruition. R & WX

Our experience with Of The Box and our ID Haylee had been a pleasant one, right from the first meeting. As first time home owners, we had many ideas and aspirations for our home. Haylee was able to guide us through what could be implemented and for the ideas that weren’t feasible, she provided alternatives or solutions to them. Whenever we had questions regarding the renovation, Haylee was able to answer to them promptly too. Overall, it has been a great experience and we are so happy that our dream home is now a reality- brought to life by Haylee and her team.

Like many others who started the journey , I was looking for a company & ID that understood the vision of small space design and crafting the space into a calming oasis for myself and my son. Visiting many fairs and websites, ofthebox caught our eye with their carpentry work and design elements. I contacted them and met Renny and from the first impression, she was calm, never flustered and listened very well. She understood what we were trying to achieve and went into the first rendering impressing us with her pictures and mock ups. Once we agree on the final quotation, I had an amazing journey and partnership with her. Renny represents what a renovation journey should be , she has experience, never pushed her ideas in a forceful way but listens very well and exudes calmness and understanding how to manage a project and updates promptly. I have very much enjoyed this renovation journey and staring at the final product, I know we have made the right decision choosing the company and more importantly working with Renny on this journey. I recommend her highly for those that want a sincere ID that is not over the top, calm and have good sense of responsibility and deliver on what is quoted. She always updated us promptly and solved problems actively. What delighted us most were the vendors we were considering all worked with them , Floorexpert and Everyday curtains etc are all the same ones we were considering for their craftsmanship and quality. 100 marks for Renny and thank you so much for all your time and effort in our project. We were comfortable with Charmian and Haylee right from the start. They were clear about the reno process and transparent with the rough costing which helped in our budgeting. They were patient with us throughout the entire process and what we appreciated most was them listening to our needs every step of the way. Coupled with their experience, they were able to provide advice that were practical but still taking our needs into consideration. As homeowners, we were often anxious but they would very patiently help allay any concerns we have. Overall, we are extremely pleased with our home reno and thankful to Ofthebox!
