Working with Jimmy on the renovation of our house was a great experience. Right from the start, he impressed us by capturing our ideas beautifully in his initial design proposal. He strikes a thoughtful balance between aesthetics and functionality, creating spaces that are both visually appealing and practical. Jimmy was attentive throughout the process, carefully listening to our feedback and making adjustments that aligned with our vision. The carpentry, workmanship, and installation were of excellent quality, reflecting a high level of craftsmanship. Even after the project was completed, he provided reliable aftercare, which we really appreciated. It’s a blessing that we found Mabel through Qanvast, we went through several meetings with other IDs before her, but was impressed by her design and proposal. We wanted a design that could stand the test of time and won’t look out of trend in years to come as we foresee it will be a place for us to retire in. Mabel’s ideas incorporated all our needs & yet was still practical. From beginning to end, everything was a breeze & she folllowed through her schedule promptly. She’s very meticulous & careful in her work, remembered all the details we highlighted. Would definitely recommend her to anyone who’s renovating their home in the near future.

As a couple undergoing our first renovation, we decided to go with Mabel as we felt she was patient and trustworthy. We wanted someone who could guide us through the process well, not be too pushy and answer all of our annoying questions and she did just that. She was also very responsive and would always reply our whatsapp no matter what time of day, and would happily amend the quotes whenever we changed our mind or added new features. On top of that, when I accelerated the timeline, she was able to deliver the completed flat as well. If I were to nitpick I would say the final flat clean could have been a bit better, with some small issues that had to be rectified after we moved in, but nothing major and everything was able to be fixed quickly.

When we decided to downsize to a 1355sf apartment, we knew we had to work around space. As one who loves to cook and bake, the kitchen would be of utmost importance. I wanted to reconfigure the existing kitchen into a wet one for Asian wok cooking, and a dry one for my baking. Mabel's drawings beat 4 other IDs we saw. What I liked about her is that she listened to our requirements and did not come up with impractical lofty ideas which some other IDs suggested. It has been almost 2 months since we moved in, and I like that I have enough storage space for my small appliances and all my crockery and bakeware. I do not even have to compromise having an island which I used to have in my previous house. Mabel designed a "pull-out" island that I can use when I need to leaven dough or cool down my bakes. This is indeed practical. The master bathroom that she reconfigured after removing the bath-tub, has ample storage space for toiletries and also a his and hers sink. She also reconfigured the bathroom in the backyard to a powder room for guests, so that the common bathroom can be our daughter's private one. Our daughter is extremely pleased with her built-in wardrobe. She had given Mabel her specifications and it was made accordingly. We are happy with our new L-shaped wardrobe as well. Must say that Mabel's carpenter met our expectations for all carpentry works. Mabel had been very prompt in replying to our queries throughout the renovation period. She settled any problems that cropped up along the way, and proactively communicated with us. We are thankful that she looked into all details, and I must say that it had been a very pleasant renovation journey. Even after we moved in, she would not hesitate to address any small requests like putting up an additional shelf. Though we did not specify our budget at the start, Mabel somehow managed to keep the costs within. We also did not specify a timeline, but we are glad that there was no delay in the works. We will not hesitate recommending Mabel to friends and relatives for their renovation needs.

We decided on Yonder to renovate our new place because Jimmy had been very open to our suggestions and needs from the on set. Some designers we approached were just forcing their ideas on us so we really appreciated that Jimmy worked with us to accentuate and improve our ideas instead. Overall Yonder delivered and also helped rectify the issues which arose over the initial 1 year period and we are now happily living in a place we feel is indeed ours!

Among the few IDs I spoke to, Mabel impressed me with her experience and advice. She has an answer to almost all of my questions. Renovation was completed in time which is a key concern for us. The quality of the furniture fittings is good and no significant issues with the project. She is easy to work with and offers solutions to many concerns and considerations. She is also patient with our additional change requests.

I have waited a really long time to write this review for Mabel, in part because I was afraid that my write-up would not adequately capture the positive experience we had with Mabel. In short, I would highly recommend Mabel for anyone looking for a trusted partner to work with in a renovation journey. We worked with her between April to September 2022, on renovation of 2 bedroom condo unit. She has become a friend to us and we have since recommended her to a few friends who are undergoing a renovation journey. A couple of things to say about Mabel. First, she listens to your requirements. This may seem like a given, but those who have gone through a renovation journey will tell you that this quality is not to be taken for granted. Unlike 8 other firms we spoke to before deciding to work with Yonder, Mabel listened carefully to our requirements and captured them very well in our design conversations. We felt that she took the time to consider creative, yet practical, solutions for us when the other designers we spoke thought they knew better and assumed that we were like any one of their clients. I remembered that Mabel made my wife feel so ‘listened to’ to the point of tearing up during our discussion on space planning. It also helped that she worked hard to help visualize the space in 3D for us at this non-obligatory session at the very beginning of the consultation. We were impressed with Mabel from Day 1. Second, she managed the work extremely well and was always on top of things. We would get a workplan and she would be keeping us closely informed. She helped us manage our strict MCST and any neighbor complaint empathically, to the point where our neighbor asked us how we found a rare gem like her. Over time, trust was built to the point that we did not feel the need to come to the site frequently. We only visited the site once a week on a weekend. In the end, work finished slightly ahead of time and largely on budget. To be fair, we were the one blowing our own budget. We appreciated Mabel for keeping us honest with our timeline and budget at every design decision. She brought a professional, practical, and friendly advice to every conversation. She had the patience and flexibility to deal with my changing of hearts on a few key areas. We were impressed with Mabel’s partnership and professionalism every step of the way. It’s been six months since we moved in. We’re still occasionally reaching out to her for help. Mabel has never ignored any of our messages and always been the most helpful. Mabel, if you’re reading this, we are forever thankful for all you’ve done to create a home away from home for us in Singapore. Thank you :)

We previously engaged Mabel for our house reno many years ago. The work was excellent. The carpentry are still in good condition after more than 6 years. Moving forward, Mabel assisted my house with small scale work. She helped to covert a small DB area into 2 cabinet that can be used for storage. It is also a piece of good work rendered. In 2022, I wanted to engage an ID to reno my mum's house kitchen and cupboard replacement in one of the guest room. 2 IDs were engaged and rejected as they did not factor in reno work for an elderly. I recalled Mabel and decided to get her to do the work. Mabel gave my family and myself lots of ideas. This include factoring elderly features in the kitchen. She suggested that all the wall and floor tiles to be hacked. The wall to be painted and floor to be replaced by bigger tiles. This does saved a bit of work. The design of the kitchen was quite well thought off. This include having an extra space for the washing machine which was previously in kitchen. The cabinet interior was discussed in depth and with soft closure. There were options for the user to change the height of the cabinet. Mable also suggested lighting within the kitchen stove which was helpful. There were also some special feature which she suggested for the drawers. it was thoughtful. Mabel managed to work with the electrician for the rewiring and changes of power points. The whole house was painted according to her recommendation. Mable was able to point out things that need to be fixed. She is able to tab on her vast resources of contacts to ensure things are done up promptly. Such professionalism is worth commending. Even though the house was handed over 1 week late, but the finishing work was more than make up for the delay. I strongly recommended my friends and any relative who many want to engage her for house renovation. I do look forward to working with Mabel in future if there is any reno related work with her. Even though this compliment comes in a bit late, I just want to thanks Mabel a million for an excellent work done for my family. It is also within the family budget. :) Markus Ng

Yonder was one of the ID firms that we were matched to based on the budget and décor requirements we had inputted via the Qanvast platform. Yonder was then shortlisted due to the multiple good online reviews of Mabel. She was always one of the first to respond and to set up a face to face meeting with us amongst the other IDs. She was able to impress us due to her attention to details and she was able to provide us with a definitive timeline of our renovation journey. In addition, she was able to offer us a very competitive quotation compared to the other ID firms and she made very efficient use of the floorplan, one which made for very practical use and yet one that was very modern and luxurious. Mabel is one who always put clients at the forefront but yet when there was a need for her to provide some feedback that some of our ideas were not feasible, she was also able to bring this to the table for discussion with us. There were multiple rounds of discussions and changes subsequently to the 3D renders and the materials to be selected. However she was always patient in explaining to us the rationale for her design and she always remember every single suggestion or changes we proposed, whether big or small. As our flat was a HDB executive apartment which was 30 years old, it required extensive renovation works and we did a total overhaul of the entire house. Mabel then provided us a detailed timetable of events for every stage of the reno process, from hacking to masonry/wet works, carpentry works and painting works etc and was always on hand to provide regular updates on the process of the renovation and was always on hand to provide her inputs and comments whenever we had questions when we pop over to the house to check on the renovation. As this was a total overhaul of our home, we also engaged a few other external vendors for certain parts of the house like the glass works, vinyl floors, various doors for the whole house. Mabel was very willing to help coordinate with all the external vendors we had engaged with to ensure our reno progress was on track and was always on hand to offer her professional advice to us whenever our vendors reached out to us for any questions. There was one particular incident that made us appreciate her even more. We were out of the country when there were a few deliveries coming to the house that particular day and Mabel took it upon herself to make arrangements with the delivery companies to ensure all the items (sanitary fittings and electrical appliances) were safely delivered and stored properly and securely in our house. She even had photos taken of all the items that were delivered and updated us over Whatsapp. During the carpentry design and the placement of the electrical power points, she always puts herself in our shoes in coming up with the designs and provide practical advice to us whenever we needed her inputs for the various power points, data points around the house. She was always just a text away whenever we needed some advice on the colour and design of the items we were getting for our house. The greatest quality of our ID, Mabel is she is very easygoing and always put her clients first. She strives to make every single renovation journey for home owners a pleasant, enjoyable and a fairly stress-free one. To her great credit, she managed to stick to the 3 month reno timeline she had mentioned to us at the very start and could come up with a lovely cosy décor for our home with the quotation she had given to us initially with just a small variation order (VO) relative to our massive reno project. Mabel has also been very prompt in addressing the defects we raise to her and the minor rectification works to the carpentry and flooring. We really like the final product she has designed with our family in mind and would highly recommend Ms Mabel from Yonder for her professionalism and excellent service in creating a stress free reno experience for us.

Before design sets in, I believe space planning is crucial to any successful project. Mabel is excellent in space planning. We met other IDs before her and none could propose to us the idea she has. She impressed us with her efficient space planning skills. Coupled with her friendly and chirpy nature, she is a perfect partner you gonna enjoy teaming up with for such an important chapter. She is very responsive in replying messages and answering our calls which tells us that she is a responsible individual. She will never stop and keeps improving the design/concept/idea until she sees that "genuine smiles" on our faces. Mabel doesn't take "okay, alright, not bad" as an answer. She makes sure that we love it from our hearts before she proceeds to the next step. Our Reno journey started with Yonder after my son, Hareez, listed our Reno interest on Qanvas. After meeting up with 4 other IDs, we eventually settled on Yonder.
