This is my 2nd time working with Chris. Orange Cube was chosen amongst 8 IDs shortlisted. Chris has a good understanding of my style and wants from the designs she showed me. She exercised flexibility throughout reno to accommodate my timeline and additional installations from my private purchases. She was consultative and gave good advice on matching furnitures, accommodated to meet up on Sunday and late evenings, and WA msgs as and when I needed to consult her on my purchases. Chris was easy to work with & went above her call to research and make purchases of swing chair I like and helping with the installation. I love my house design and received so many compliments. Thank you Chris and team for the hardwork!

We went to Karen at Orange Cube on the strong recommendation of our friend, and we are delighted with how our place finally turned out. Karen and her team have gone the extra mile to meet our deadline and all our requirements, and we appreciate their efforts very much. We would strongly recommend Karen and her team to all our friends and anyone looking for an ID who is meticulous, patient, and listens carefully to the clients’ needs and adapt readily to meet their demands.

She helped us immensely by inspiring through her ideas, guidance on practicality and handholding in purchase of lighting and fixtures, suiting our taste as well as budget. Karen and Team , managed to renovate my house during the challenging Covid 19 period. They were both professional in their commitment level and completed the given tasks within the given budget and within the given time frame. It was a pleasant experience working with them.

I shopped around making enquiries with several interior designers in Singapore, and was recommended The Orange Cube by a close friend. The Orange Cube offers end-to-end design and renovation services, from concept to implementation. Karen was highly professional and personable, and we co-ideated a beautiful Japanese-Scandinavian floor-to-ceiling bookcase room partition and bed platform concept. Karen was in continuous communication, answering questions quickly and providing regular updates putting my mind at ease. She is very down-to-earth and very much understood my needs. Once all permits were ready, the team worked effectively and efficiently to complete the work in only a few days, minimising the disruption experienced. The team also helped undertake a photo shoot post-implementation, with both Esther and Sammie were very professional and pleasant to work with. I'd definitely recommend The Orange Cube for design and renovations, and would be happy to engage them again for future projects.

Things we are not satisfied: 1. The firm persuaded us to use their aircon installation service instead of following our original plan to engage Daikin ProShop’s service. However, the installation in the living room is a disaster from the beginning (Leaking air, squeezed duct pipe...) till the end. Until now still has serious condensation issue on the linear grille. We quite regret we trusted their promise and released the last payment to them but now they do not want to honor their word to fix the condensation issue for us with anti-condensation solutions. 2. Quoted but “forgot” to install spray jets in all toilets and now impossible to install. 3. Did not request and review pipe layouts and drilled hole on gas pipe. 4. Did not take into consideration the depth of the cabinet above the master bath’s washing basin. The result is our head will knock on the mirror on the cabinet when we try to wash our face. 5. Did not help us to check the quality of marble before installation and installed one very bad quality, ugly marble on the entry of the master bath and impossible to exchange now. Things we are satisfied: 1. Assist us to resolve the toilet trap issue allow us to use a model we preferred. 2. Assist us to choose the right marble for our feature wall. 3. All carpenter work. Overall, I think this is not a “black” renovation firm, but a firm rely too much on “feeling” and too little on management. Personally, other than carpenter work I won’t recommend them for whole house renovation especially aircon related jobs.

My experience with The Orange Cube is 10/10 stars. I worked with Karen Bohn and her team who were creative, thoughtful, attentive to detail and always responsive. The quote provided was cost effective, well adhered to, and great value for the investment. In addition, the work was completed on time despite us initiating the project in October - we had the Christmas, New Year and CNY holidays falling in between then and the handover date, and shortly thereafter the world went into Covid lockdown. Despite all of that, the new place came on time and in great shape and I got to enjoy my stay-at-home months in my new home. Thanks to Karen and The Orange Cube!

Designer hv good attitude and helpful but she is a bit lack of experience. Sometimes not respond promptly and never follow up the job properly. We alwys hv to ask her and remind her frm time to time. She very seldom go to work site so we hv to waste a lot of time explain and liaise directly with the workers. Luckily we have Carson to monitor and Chris help us to follow up. The workmanship quality is good juz a minor touch up need to be done. Yes, the whole project is still within our Budget, but not within the timeline, delay more thn 2 weeks. A bit disappointed. Anyway, thanks to Chris, Carson and Glo!! Thanks all the workers.

I do not understand why there would be any bad reviews here for Orange Cube because my experience with my designer Ashley and Orange Cube is exactly waaaaay opposite. Where the reviews said lack of responsibility with what was created, I would say this is among the biggest strength of Ashley and Orange Cube. Concrete examples are first, my 2 stoves were installed at opposite sides, diff from planned, and I was going to settle, however my designer supported me and made sure the vendor would do what was promised. Thank God she did because the usability of the stoves positions as originally planned is much better. Another example was I had an improvement on cabinet doors so that it can be easier to open, and despite it still is functioning, Orange cube was willing to make the amendments to achieve the superior craftsmanship and responsibility. There are many other more examples.... Literally, every inch of the renovation was thought of and for the client as me, nothing left to even an inch of non-satisfaction. I also thought interesting a review about design not functioning well as head hit cabinet, and I don’t understand because in my experience everything was so detailed thought and my designer always, always, was able to catch issues with function over design, and we would discuss the preference. Many times she saw things I did not foresee and once I was handed the renovation, and started using the spaces, I felt the benefits of all her recommendation! Another review said vendor didn’t fix an issue with aircon dripping, but in my experience, one of the best qualities of Orange Cube that I noticed is their vendor relationship! End of project I noticed vendors did not charge above what was quoted but provided many add on here and there because they also cared about just doing a good job. For example, I bought from electrician plug points but they delivered two plugs for each point instead of one! There are so many more examples... My designer always so responsive, cordial, tolerant, patient, and many more... for example, we spent hours just reviewing one key measurement for a concern I had and she never was impatient!! Another huge point for Ashley and Orange Cube is that I did not feel they were trying to extort me, like I felt with contractors. We did everything said within budget, and the add-on I wanted were charged reasonable because it was from a price list (not those fake price list that is double prices just because it’s add-on, ok?). What I liked from my experience with Ashley and Orange Cube is I always knew what to expect, even price. They are not those that over promise and under deliver and charge you double in the middle of project for add-on. I really felt it was a company into serious and honest business practice. I urge anyone to go with a firm with designer and no less with a company as responsible, care for details and function, deliver beauty of design, have great vendors as Orange Cube and Ashley!! Not to mention, before Orange Cube I have quoted with contractors and let me tell you, no way; It’s recipe for disaster because the 3 quoted were not all less expensive and they had bad design ideas! They didn’t have the in house structure to handle all what was needed for any home renovation as Orange Cube possess, so it’s a recipe for disaster and you end up with problems. What I realized is 1) If project too small contractors just don’t deliver in reasonable time as they prioritize bigger projects once it comes in. You end up never getting your house back and stuck with payment done 2) I found contractors do not review design or provide 3-D; so like what happened to my friend that engaged contractor. She end up having a closet built but the contractor didn’t ask electrician to wire the light! She end up with a delivered renovation where a switch outside the closet doesn’t light the closet! 3)Designer really catch design issues that contractors do not! Some pp insist in installing beautiful TV storage in living room but didn’t review shape of living room and end up with boxed living rooms!
