Choosing FSI as the ID firm for our first new place was the best choice we made. Our designer, Leon was able to blend our envision of the house with creativity and functionality. Love how he also added pop of colours to elevate the fun element of the space. He also helped to keep to our renovation budget by providing alternatives and no hidden costs. During the renovation period, the team also updated us promptly on the project status with photos and videos. This greatly put our mind at ease, knowing our house was in safe hand. Concerns / feedback that we had were quickly resolved too. The whole process was smooth and completed on time, nothing like the renovation nightmares that we heard from our friends.

Our interior now mirrors exactly what we had in mind down to the finest details. Designers Raymond, and Brandon truly went above and beyond. We engaged Free Space Intent (FSI) after meeting with 5 other design houses, and honestly, choosing them was the best decision we made. Only Kaden from FSI really understood our ideas, concepts, and what we wanted for our home. He listened attentively during our many meetings and always amazed us with how well he captured our thoughts in his drawings. During the renovation, we never had to stress about timelines. Kaden managed the whole process smoothly, coordinated the contractors well and made sure work was always moving along. To our surprise, the house was completed earlier than expected. We appreciated Kaden’s eye for detail. Some of the 'little' ideas he suggested made such a big difference, tying the whole look together perfectly. Overall, it was a pleasure working with Kaden. He’s hardworking, friendly, and always on top of things. We’re super happy with how our home turned out — he truly brought our ideas to life, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better ID.

I am so deeply appreciative of FSI for the renovation of my home. Raymond, Perlinda and Kaden made the renovation process so easy and were truly excellent examples of what a good interior design team should be. Throughout the process they have been flexible, adaptable and very solution-oriented. There are several key features in our home that were suggestions from them and we deeply love them, like the glass wall made of vintage glass blocks. They also worked around our requests customising to our requests like a custom drawer for my various baking trays and a tall, narrow cupboard for our yard (I wanted one to fit our ironing board). While it’s clear FSI has a distinctive (and beautiful!) style, Raymond and Kaden were very open to our requests and made sure we made the design ours. The work done on the home is truly professional, Perlinda’s project management is top notch and we had our house in three short months even though we had to tear the house and build from scratch. We spent majority of those months out of the country but could trust Perlinda to take care of everything and rarely had to check in. The home was close to move in condition when we were back. Trustworthy, careful and also very particular (more than us!) they’re what you imagine a good interior design team is supposed to be. Our home is beautiful and matches the renderings so closely. Very thankful to them for all the hard work!!

I was looking for an interior designer who can transform my specific needs and preferences into living spaces that truly reflect my personality and lifestyle. I gone as far as getting the 3D models done with one designer but decided to engage Raymond from Free Space after introduction from a trusted friend. Dedication is one of the hallmarks of Raymond's work ethic. He and his Project Manager, Perlinda, invest considerable time and effort into understanding my vision and bringing it to life with meticulous attention to detail. Their commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of the design process, from initial consultations to the final touches. Renovating a home is a highly personalised and often stressful event, but with Leon, we found a reliable and patient interior designer who offered good advice while listening to our needs. This was our second time working with Leon and his team at FSI. Both times, Leon delivered wonderfully, and we want to share our experience so more homeowners can enjoy peace of mind during the renovation process. Leon is not afraid to push the envelope when it comes to design, and he has a keen awareness of practical living needs, which we highly appreciate. His experience shines through when minor hiccups occur. We felt assured and knew that our home was in steady hands throughout the process. Pricing-wise, although FSI is in the upper-middle range, the partners they work with are professional and offer excellent products and services. Overall, we are very pleased with what we received from FSI and their partners. We would definitely return to Leon and FSI in the future if the opportunity arises. We chose Jasmine from FSI based on positive feedback of her good work ethics from my sister. She presented the design process and her company's clauses clearly and objectively. Working with her was hassle-free and she was accommodating to our needs. We felt comfortable voicing out our opinions and suggestions to her, knowing that she would listen and offer her expert advice. In terms of project management, Jasmine was present every week and gave timely prompt updates of the progress. Issues that we noticed and highlighted to her were promptly rectified and solved. We had a tight timeline and even had to move in before the end of the renovation process. She was mindful of this and planned a schedule to ensure that the progress is smooth and the different areas of works were completed consecutively/simultaneously without disruption or unnecessary halt. She has a trusting and good working relationship with all her workers (e.g. painters, electricians, carpenters, tilers, hardware and lighting vendors) who respected and listened to her feedback. Needless to say, from our first meeting until the end, Jasmine gave 101% commitment to the project (even when she was on a holiday! She assured us that we could still text her regardless). For the design, Jasmine listened and catered to our specific design taste of a Rustic Modern Marrakesh elements that we want in our home. Jasmine ensured that we are aware of what we need and want for our power and lighting plan - giving us the right advice and space to make our decisions and choices. This was an area that we learned in this journey to be an important aspect of renovation. We would also like to highlight the quality work of the tiling and electrician plus the vinyl flooring where only the finest and top quality vinyl material was used. We decided to speak with FSI after looking thru a few ID companies and their designs; Raymond’s house caught our eyes actually. Raymond and Kaden were our designers, and Perlinda helped us manage the project when renovation started in mid Dec 23. From the very first discussion with them somewhere in Sep 23, our renovation journey had been rather smooth. They were patient when we gave them a long shopping list of requirements (first meeting). When we were trying to visualise things (as I had no artistic mind), Kaden never hesitated to sketch or do up drawings to help us visualise. The unlimited number of drawings helped for sure, although we went thru maybe 3-4 iterations (with numerous discussion sessions in between). We had limited time to meet up and couldn’t meet on Saturdays, so all our discussions took place on weekday nights, generally from 8-11pm++, and they were ever accommodating. When our reno started proper, we found that we could entrust the whole project to them, and I didn’t have to keep checking in or ask for progress; Perlinda and Kaden were always forthcoming in providing updates and photos onsite; we literally only went down maybe once a week to take a look, and that was about it. FSI proposed various designs and was daring in playing with a load of colours, which I found rather interesting and fresh. And we took the colours. Couldn’t be happier after having moved into our new home about 3wks ago. There were minimal defects, and they were quick to respond and help to arrange for rectifications; other small things are areas that I can accept. FSI assured us of continued support if we had any other things to highlight, and I’m sure they will deliver. Tbh, I’m sure they’re not the cheapest ID company in the market, but we don’t regret it. If anyone is looking for a detailed, thoughtful Interior Designer, and one who puts in his all, standing on the homeowners' point of view to consider our concerns, Kaden Tiu will be the one to look for! For a preliminary consultation, Kaden considers our wants for Wabi-Sabi theme and has proposed and showed us the type of laminates on cabinets that will be suitable on our 1st meeting (this step is usually in the middle of the reno process). What stands out to us is when he showed us his portfolio of the tiles he matched for his clients. It is rare for an ID to actually go to the site to do the match of the tiles' grains (ensuring the grains to be put up will be at best placement) before the tiles are being stick onto the walls and difficult to changed thereafter. Most ID do not look after this portion and leave it to the contractors to do the tiling works, which may sometimes forms ugly, mismatched tiles' grain on that piece of work. His creativity to help home owners are also shown in his painting works and ceiling lights in his portfolio! Last but not least, we had a challenge of putting 2 adults and 2 young children in 1 common room. With beds, wardrobe and probably tables. No matter how things are being thought of (e.g. most ID gave bunk beds as the solutions, but it won't work cos' they are very very young children, will fall), its difficult. Yet Kaden considers our concern (did not just discard it), and thought of a way beautifully to have everything in place at our 4th meetup. Oh, and out of 7 IDs we have seen, Kaden is the only one who could freehand draw out 3D on the spot, just to explain to us how things will look like. All in all, he's one of the best ID we have seen! Really appreciate his thoughtfulness, detailness and creativity!

We engaged Raymond from FSI after evaluating numerous IDs. He was highly recommended by our friend. We are impressed with his design and quality of service. Raymond (Designer) and Perlinda (Project Manager) have been very knowledgeable and patience with our numerous requirements. Not forgetting they are very creative with the solution. We even completed renovation earlier than expected. Perlinda has managed the schedule and quality very well. Their contractors like carpenters, painters, plumbers and electrician are also very careful and did a wonderful job. Any issues were also resolved swiftly. My family and friends were also impressed with the quality and design too. We heard many challenges that our neighbours has encountered with other IDs. We met with Jasmine and a couple other ID's before making a decision. From the beginning, Jasmine understood what we were looking for and was very easy to talk to about the whole project. Everything was great, from the floorplans, the renders, the edits and all of our requests! Jasmine was great guiding us through all the decisions we had to make, from tiles, lights, toilets, light switch locations, closet designs.. everything! She is an amazing project manager, and everything went as scheduled! 100% recommend!

It was a pleasure working with Jasmine on our first home. We found Jasmine after perusing Qanvast and meeting many other IDs. We have moved into our place for about 3 months now. Overall, we found Jasmine to be sincere, professional, responsible, patient, respectful and service-oriented throughout the course of the renovation, from the initial meeting till after the handover. During the initial meetings, she was sincere, and respectful while gathering our functional and aesthetic requirements. She gave honest and respectful advice to keep the renovation cost-effective for us. Her suggested ideas were thoughtful and fitted the requirements well. A number of our meetings, I.e carpentry stretched late into the night, and she stayed professional and advised us well during these meetings. We also had many impromptu questions during the process, and she was very ready to entertain our questions via zoom without much hassle in planning a meeting time. Jasmine was also patient throughout the project. Being first time home-owners, we were unsure of many minor details, which seemed like a huge deal during the process. Although the timeline for the decision was short, in no way did we feel hurried by Jasmine, and she allowed us time to carefully consider our decisions. She was helpful in recommending places to make purchases and brought us shopping, but also was very respectful of our buying decisions. During the renovation process she kept us well-updated on the progress with pictures via WhatsApp, and managed the timeline well. When hiccups popped up, she had good ideas to resolve them quickly. Her timeline planning and coordination was top-notch and she managed her contractors well which we appreciated as it saved us lots of time. We had also contracted our own services for some parts of the renovation, and Jasmine and her team planned and worked well with the other parties involved, resulting in a fuss-free experience for us. After the handover, she remained professional and attentive. She readily advised us on our furniture purchases, and if she mentioned that she would get something done, she would make sure that it was done. We enjoyed working very much with Jasmine, and value her time and effort in helping us to renovate our first home.
