I did my Reno in 2016 and the designer has left since then. Since then, there are some things that has broke down like my lights etc and I needed to ask about where is LED driver placed. I've reached out to them a few times and only then I managed to speak to Sabrina Lim and she has been very patient and has great follow ups. I also managed to resolve my issue and fix other issues with her help. Thanks Sabrina!

Their designs are to our likings! Both our designers are very patient towards all of our changes and queries. They advise us when we face certain problems during renovations. They will update us on every phase during renovations work that we don’t really have to make our trips down every time to check on the progress. The renovation work was very smooth without much issues and it was completed within the time frame. The final product is like printed out from the drawings. After work completion, even when we face minor issues, they will immediately contact their contractors to solve them ASAP. I would strongly recommend both Yu Han and Marcus to our friends and relatives.

After much research of ID firms, we made our decision to engage Sky Creation for our renovation. We are looking forward to the finish product (currently renovation still in progress). Eunice Lim the ID, has been very patient and attentive in listening to our needs and want. We are delighted with her design which is incline with what we would like our new nest to be. Her swift response to our query was impressive (she even follow up on things during weekend!) We are given the detailed schedule of the project date line. Overall, we are on track and we are also being informed of the task to be done in advance. Thanks to Eunice for her professionalism and diligence in updating. Background: I bought a 3-room NG HDB resale flat at Bedok North with a floor area of 67 sqm to stay on my own. The house is in a live-in state, but it didn’t meet my expectation of how a home would look and feel like. Other than the toilet, which was recently upgraded under the HIP scheme, I felt the rest of the house needed to be done up to my liking. I decided to set a budget of $50 – 60k for renovation and, thus, my reno journey came about. Before & Ideas: The feature that stood out the most was the green terrazzo flooring. It reminded me of my childhood home in Toa Payoh. So, this is a feature in the house that I wanted retained. I had a dark colour scheme in mind. There is plenty of natural light coming in from both ends of the house, so having a dark theme is possible. To complement the neighbourhood greenery and my flooring, I went for a forest green & grey colour scheme. To make the living space bigger, I decided to hack the wall separating the living room and the kitchen. I didn’t need such a big kitchen since I’m hardly home and am staying on my own. This also allows me to have a workspace, which I needed on my WFH days. A folding door would help to partition the kitchen from the rest of the living area on days when I need to switch on the aircon to cool the living room or to isolate the kitchen when I cook. Lastly, the continuous space takes advantage of the natural breeze coming into the house as it has a N-S orientation. Qualities I look for in an ID: With the above general idea in mind, I set up appointments with 5 – 6 IDs to get clues on what I can get within my budget and see which one comes up with the most suitable proposal. I wanted to work with someone who can fit my ideas into their proposal. I also wanted someone who pays attention to details and can give me ideas as I’m relatively busy and would not be able to do so. Why I chose Anthea & Sherlock from Sky Creation: One of the ID firms that I went to was Sky Creation where I met Anthea and Sherlock. During my first appointment, they listened to my ideas and were keen to keep the terrazzo flooring as well. This contrasts with other IDs who either proposed hacking the flooring and retile or to do a vinyl overlay. They also felt that the budget I had was sufficient to do up my house as I wanted. They used Dropbox as a tool to share documents and photos to clients which I liked and found systematic. Throughout the appointment, there was a sense that I can work with both as it is important to be able to do discuss openly and communicate well with your ID. They provided references/reviews from other clients which was helpful to know their working style. A second appointment was arranged that involved a site visit. They informed me that it helps them to come up with a detailed proposal and ensure that the price quoted would not vary too much in the end. I was grateful for the effort put in and was quite certain to pick them as my IDs, provided their proposal and pricing met my expectations. In the third appointment, they provided me with a detailed sketch of the floor plan. I’m glad that they divided my living area into 3 parts as what I wanted. Also, they proposed an L-shaped kitchen counter with an adjoining laundry counter and cabinet. I wanted a service balcony to do my laundry and am glad that they managed to squeeze one in. From earlier discussions, they did up my master bedroom with plenty of built-in carpentry and a small worktable. Lighting was not something that I thought much about and I’m grateful to Anthea and Sherlock for proposing a variety of lights (pendant, cove, LED, track, etc.) to make my home more interesting. After looking at their proposed design and quotation, I decided to go with them. They came up with a detailed plan that was exactly what I wanted. A detailed cost breakdown allows me to know where most of my budget would be spent in and gives me leeway if I decide not to go with certain design elements. Although theirs was not the lowest, it was within my budget and was closest to what I wanted. Renovation Process: As for most reno journeys, the first step would be selecting materials i.e., tiles and laminates for the home. I didn’t have specific materials in mind, and it helped that Anthea and Sherlock selected a few for me to look from and I made my choices from there. They planned the visits with lighting and bathroom/kitchen accessories suppliers, and I’m satisfied with their arrangements. I didn’t plan on having smart light features in my home, but it did give a modern touch to the house. With materials chosen, they came up with 3D drawings that helped me visualize how it would turn out. Throughout the reno process, Anthea and Sherlock were meticulous and resourceful. As hacking was involved, this would affect the terrazzo flooring and skirting. They managed to find a supplier to touch up the damaged skirting instead of settling with ‘robbing’ existing skirting from the storeroom as a replacement, which I was fine with. Another instance was finding solution to have a wash basin inside the main toilet. The space available was limited and most houses have their wash basin outside the main toilet. They proposed installing a toilet with wash basin included which was found in newer BTOs. I also felt that Sky Creation had a good network of suppliers. I am extremely satisfied with the built-in carpentry work which takes up the bulk of my reno expenses. The workmanship is great, and everything fits well within the space available. From lights and air-conditioning to furnishings and blinds, I didn’t have to worry about sourcing on my own and was guaranteed that the house would be in a live-in condition once ready. Considering the renovation period took place during the year-end peak period, I was glad that I could start to move my things in before my storage lease expired. Minor touch-ups were needed, and it was promptly done after keys were handed over to me. There were no delays even though I’m sure there are other projects that needed equal attention as well. This speaks well of their sufficient manpower to deal with projects at different stages. They provide 1-year after-completion support for any defects as well. I’m not sure if it’s unique to my house, but they arranged for an after-completion photoshoot and shared the photos with me which I have included in this review. Final Note of Thanks: Overall, Anthea, Sherlock and Sky Creation have met and even exceeded my expectations in terms of workmanship, delivery schedule and expertise. What stood out for me was them going the extra mile to make sure my home would be flawless at the end of the journey. I’m not a fusspot and can accept minor flaws at obscure places. But they have been 100% committed and professional, even providing updates during the year-end holiday period. Thank you! One regret would be not doing more. I would have done up my workspace and toilets, finances permitting. I will certainly engage them for this in the future.

Marcus was a very professional ID who was able to meet to my expections and requirements. Work was done in a timely manner meeting all the deadlines. Quality of work was also done top-notch. timing arrangement was great! suit my timing with no obligation. installation was fast and efficient marcus’s recomendation was the best only he knew how to match the door colour with my home colour. My search for a renovation company started in early 2023 with my expected key collection to my HDB in the July and Aug period. Having went through 4-5 company, I decided to commit to Sky Creation with Marcus as I felt assured and sincerity by his technical advice and not sales talk that makes empty promises. We started with some basic ideas off the web and friends’ recommendation and had Marcus guided us and also showing us some of his past and running projects to get a better feel of what is nice and practical. Marcus is a very patient ID, who despite our changes on the design and hesitation on first few initial draft, adhere to our request to ensure we get our dream home design. He displays professionalism in the course of the project, placing high confidence his contractors’ ability and quality of work. Despite having some small hiccups, things were able to go through as per planned. It is normal for project to have some unexpected turns, but what is important is that he is responsible and willing to go the extra mile to understand and ensure we are satisfied. We are satisfied with the renovation works, and the final works are quite the replica of the design impression which is another plus point. The carpenter, pluming, and civil works are all on point. Now that we have moved in, we appreciate the design and flow of the house. Despite having completed the project, Marcus have assured us that if we have some feedback or touch up, he will still make the arrangement to follow up. Really appreciate of Marcus’s hard work and glad to have worked with him!

He is very sincere and responsible to meet our renovation requirements. He helped us to plan and allow us to move in after one week from the resale house key collection. Due to time constraints between selling of existing house and buying a resale house. We stayed in hotel for one week and able to move in master bedroom. It’s amazing planing and execution. I bought old 3 room resale flat at Ang Mo Kio Ave 6. In order to find a good interior designer & trusted renovation company. I had submitted few request via hometrust for them to appoint good interior design companies. After so many quotations given by different interior design companies over few months, finally, I choose ID Marcus Ooi from Sky Creation. Marcus gave me the best ideas according to my floor plan. He showed a lot of his previous works for better visualisation. Then he helped me to choose the suitable materials for my needs & painting colours as per my taste. The whole renovation works was carried out smoothly without any delay. We would like to express our sincere appreciation and gratitude to our friendly & very approachable ID Marcus & his team for helping us to ensure a smooth completion of our renovation with an estimate of one month. We did a major renovation to our existing kitchen, two bathrooms and master bedroom.
