I had the pleasure of working with Johnny Tan on my home renovation, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. We have engaged zinuo in the home renovation design as we have been amused by her portfolio (as my wife and i like the french style design which is not too common in Singapore) also the proactive attitude. We have a very tight timeline but for fairly large amount of works that have to be done in 2.5 months - zinuo has managed this well. And we are satisfied with the quality of workmanship as well. Zinuo has proved herself as a professional ID with very good art sense.

My ID was Ashton Siow. And he is very very very very good. You know, i once heard that most people can't be satisfied with their IDs, because home reno is both personal and expensive, so it is very easy to trigger negative emotion, unless you put in tons of money to make it a palace. Especially so that I had a not-so-good ID for my old place in the past that I did not have too much hope for the reno of my new home. But Ashton came across as someone with strong sense of responsibility at first meeting, and carried it throughout the project. He planned the project before the house was officially transferred to me. I got my key on 1 October, and on that day, the notice of renovation was already pasted on the notice board of the condo. The next day, renovation started. The entire reno took only 2 months, thanks to his planning, and project management. And this is not a simple renovation. It involves hacking wall/rebuilding wall, rebuiding balcony railing, rebuidling entire kitchen and bathrooms etc. He provided updates on every milestones, that i didn't have to follow up. I did not have to go to the reno site until it is almost done. The design turnaround was very efficient. He churned out 2 versions of 3D drawings in 3 weeks. He took heed of my ad hoc instructions that were sometimes given at midnight, some of which were so minor and random that I didn't even remember. But he took note of all the points and I didn't have to check or remind him. He also coordinated with all non reno-related work, like replacing rubbish chute etc and sorted everything without the need of my attention. He also followed my budget and made effort to contain my wishes within my budget. He did not even once ask me if i wanted to add any other stuff -- rather, i kept wanting to change this, add on that, replace others etc....but he gave me different ideas to achieve what i wanted without incurring too much cost. For things that i really wanted, he would tell me the cost and follow instruction. So I am very happy that this renovation is within budget. At least it is very important point for me. Everyone wants to their home to be renovated nicely, so IDs can take the chance to ask you to do this, and do that, you may be tempted to follow and eventually realise it busts your budget and waste so much money on things that is so useless. It is very good experience hopefully others can also benefit from his efficient project management, detailed/considerate design, and budget conscious.

I engaged Si Ming from Starry Homestead as my choiced ID for my new house renovation. He is very patient in clarifying our countless questions and providing thoughtful advices. Whenever there is any hiccups during the renovation process, he understands homeowners' concerns and takes the initiative to rectify them. He is also very responsive to my text messages which is important to us to facilitate planning. It is this great service from him that makes us choose to work with him for my house. I must say Si Ming, makes my entire renovation journey feels peaceful and happy.

Jovina was a pleasure to work with. She listened carefully to our needs and translated it into a functional living space. We appreciated her creative ideas and her ability to find unique solutions that suited our style and budget. Jovina was also very responsive and kept us informed throughout the process. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented and professional interior designer.

We are very contented with the final product and the service provided by our assigned Interior designer (ID), Hailey. She takes time to understand what we wanted and not rushing us into making any abrupt decision. She tries to incorporate her designing skills into ideas we threw to her and did her best to work within our budget. In addition, she also went extra mile in providing advice on our choice of furniture and color theme. Although carpentry work takes alittle long, the quality is something we are really satisfied with. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and non stressful reno journey with Starry Homestead and our ID Hailey.

We were recommended to Starry Homestead by a friend. ID Derrick Lim was assigned to our project and we were blessed to have him design the study room meant for our girls who will be having their national exams in 2026. The workmanship from the contractors were good and Derrick ensured that all works were carried out as planned and on time. Thumbs up for a great job done and we will be engaging Derrick for future renovation works.

We had the pleasure to with work with Steven. A great listener and provided practical suggestion to our ideas. A good project manager as well in handing multiple contractors to ensure meeting our expectations. Although slight delay from our initial plan due to some hiccups but he quickly provided solutions and rectified the issue, the result was better than expected. Overall an enjoyable process and reno journey.

She replies promptly, responsible, professional, she knows exactly what I want. I am so lucky to work with her for my first unit in Singapore. Our search for an ID firm started more than a year ago. After seeking out various different firms, we decided to go ahead with Starry and Si Han as our ID. While we had some ideas around the house, this is our first home and we were not experienced at all in many areas. Si Han helped us to conceptualize and materialize our place based on our ideas and functional needs. Throughout the process, he would openly share feedback and thoughts to ensure that our budget is taken care of while meeting our needs (and wants). He would also not rush us through any of the processes as it does take time during certain steps such as choosing the colours and laminate options. During the actual renovation period, Si Han has been always there with the contractors, and even helping them out at times. We are blessed to have found such a responsible and helpful ID in Si Han. He is always there to update us on the progress along the way and also to assist in whatever way he possibly could. Thank you Si Han for all of the help to create our dream home!

As a first-time homeowner, we had enquired with 8 different ID firms. We proceeded with Si Han from Starry Homestead. We are very grateful for the amazing experience we had! From the very beginning, Si Han took the time to listen to our needs and requirements. Like any renovation, there were some minor issues along the way, but Si Han was quick to provide alternative solutions. It was clear that he was always thinking ahead. He also updates us regularly on the progress of the renovation. Given that we were planning our wedding at the same time, this was a huge relief — it allowed us to focus on wedding preparations without worrying about the house. In fact, we only needed to visit the site once during the entire 2-month renovation period! Thanks to Si Han’s meticulous planning, everything was completed on schedule! Ultimately, Si Han has given us a cosy, functional, and beautiful home that we absolutely love. We couldn’t be happier with the final result. We highly recommend Si Han and Starry Homestead to anyone who wanna renovate their home!
