Recently completed my first home renovation project with Le Interior Affairs. Among all the proposals and advice I received, I chose to put my faith in Jeffery Ng from Le Interior Affairs to complete my virgin project. He explained the finer points of his design to make sure I was comfortable before moving forward, his ideas and final proposal stood out from the others. He is one those vintage old school ID that are hard to come by in today's market. Do not mistake old school for unfancy, dull designs. What I meant to say is that he has a strong foundation in the renovation sector and is highly skilled in multiple trending designs. How many IDs are able to quickly come up with a hand-drawn sketch of a design in a moment notice? There are moments where I felt fretted over minor things. However, Jeffery remained patient and professional with me throughout, he was always able to find a solution! Simply let him work his magic and don't worry. ;) Looking back at the whole renovation process, I'm grateful I engaged his services. Definitely will recommend him to anyone who is considering to carry out their renovations. I would like to thank Le Interior Affairs and their Interior Designer, Jeffery, for providing an overall excellent and well rounded service.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review.
We’re truly grateful for your trust in Le Interior Affairs, especially for your first home renovation. It means a lot to hear that Jeffery’s experience, design approach, and dedication gave you confidence throughout the journey. His ability to balance strong fundamentals with modern design — and yes, those hand-drawn sketches is something we really value as well.
Renovations can naturally come with moments of concern, so we’re glad Jeffery was able to support you patiently and work through everything together with you. Your kind words and recommendation truly motivate our team to continue delivering our best.

We engaged 7 Sense Studio for a full home renovation in Singapore and are very pleased with the overall experience. The renovation took about 8 weeks (mid-May to late July) and covered extensive works including hacking, plumbing, electrical, tiling, carpentry, painting, and finishing. Despite the complexity and multiple trades involved, the project was completed within the agreed timeline. Any minor issues were addressed promptly and satisfactorily. Our Senior Designer, Liang Wei, was exceptional. He was responsive, patient, flexible with our design changes, and consistently offered practical solutions that suited our needs and budget. Communication was always clear and reassuring throughout the process. Site supervision and coordination among various vendors were well managed, giving us confidence in the workmanship and execution. Budget-wise, costs remained largely within expectations, with transparent explanations for any variations. Overall, 7th Sense Studio, and especially Liang Wei, provided a professional and stress-free renovation experience. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable interior design firm in Singapore.

Five long months - from waiting for the completion date, to key handover, and finally renovation - but it was all worth it. I’d like to give a huge shoutout to my amazing IDs, Alvan and Jason. Their patience throughout the entire journey - from brainstorming and quotations to multiple idea changes and even renovation hiccups - was truly beyond what I could have asked for. Some things could have gone south, but thanks to their dedication, everything turned out right. Alvan was the backbone of the project, always ensuring my concerns were heard and addressed. Jason, on the other hand, played a crucial role in executing the plan and making sure everything was delivered properly. More than a month after moving in, I still wake up every day feeling satisfied with the outcome. If I were to go through this process again, Alvan and Jason would definitely be at the top of my list.

We worked with Brandon Mak from Renologist for our renovation, and the experience has been genuinely great. We first came across him through recommendations on Xiaohongshu and reached out to him. After comparing several renovation companies, we ultimately decided to go with Brandon Mak, and we have absolutely no regrets. The agreed completion date was honored exactly as promised. As first-time homeowners doing a renovation for the very first time, we were unfamiliar with many aspects of the process. Whenever we had questions, Brandon Mak always responded promptly and patiently, and he offered many helpful and practical suggestions along the way. What really stood out to us was how much he valued our feedback. Even after the final payment was made, he remained fully responsive and never disappeared. To us, the most important thing is that he is always reachable. He listens carefully to our requests, remembers the details, and is never overly calculative. Communication with him has always been smooth, comfortable, and stress-free. Renologist as a company is also very generous. We happened to participate in one of their lucky draw events and won the first prize, which made the entire renovation journey even more memorable and special. Overall, we are very satisfied with both Brandon Mak and Renologist, and we would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy renovation team.

We engaged Gentlemen Crafts Pte Ltd for renovation works for our kitchen, bathrooms, living room, and my daughter’s room. This has been an extremely poor, costly, and unsafe experience. Before contract signing, they quoted a very low price and rushed us to sign despite many restrictive clauses. Once signed, we were subjected to variation order after variation order, even for basic items, inflating the total cost by more than 50%. They made no effort to understand our requirements. Renovation started based on their contractor availability rather than proper planning. Workmanship across all trades was substandard: Carpentry: Inferior materials and poor workmanship Electrical: Over-quoted, unnecessary wiring, no consultation on switch placement Tiling & plumbing: Worst execution and finishing They also showed complete disregard for our belongings. No existing furniture or appliances were properly protected, and there was extremely rough handling, resulting in damage to our sofa, refrigerator, monitor, and other items. Despite spending ~SGD 85,000, the renovation was left unfinished due to their mistakes in the altar design. They promised 3D drawings, but these were misleading and did not reflect the final outcome. The carpentry drawings were significantly different from what was built, making it impossible for us as homeowners to properly visualise or approve the design. The ID assigned, Joshua, was extremely difficult to work with. When we escalated to the CEO, Glen, the company focused on protecting itself rather than resolving the issues, ultimately abandoning the project incomplete. Most alarming was the serious safety lapse — gas was not properly switched off or secured, and gas pipes were left improperly plugged, putting our family’s lives at risk for nearly a month. Although recommended by Qanvast, our experience shows this company has no real interior design capability and operates mainly as a broker for low-quality contractors. Avoid Gentlemen Crafts Pte Ltd. Do not be misled by low initial quotes or positive reviews. If anyone needs details, I can share documentation and evidence via DM.

As first-time HDB BTO 4-room owners, my wife and I went into renovation feeling both excited and anxious—especially with a young daughter to consider. Renovation can easily become overwhelming, so we were mentally prepared for stress. We actually met Cong Sheng from Jialux at a Qanvast event—quite literally like chancing upon a wild Pokémon. It was an unexpected conversation that ended up becoming one of the best decisions we made for our home. That said, this wasn’t a rushed decision. We spoke to around nine different renovation companies before committing, and what set Cong Sheng apart was how willingly he shared some design ideas with us, even at the early discussion stage. He wasn’t just listening—he was actively thinking, proposing layouts, and visualising how the space could work for our lifestyle. From the very beginning, Cong Sheng came across as reliable, calm, and extremely organised. He took time to understand not just how we wanted the house to look, but how we would live in it—as a couple and as parents. Our key requirement was clear: the home needed to be comfortable for my wife and I, while also being safe, practical, and suitable for our little girl. His design solutions reflected that understanding clearly. One of his biggest strengths is coordination. Renovation involves many moving parts—contractors, timelines, suppliers, and on-site issues—but Cong Sheng handled these seamlessly. He kept us updated regularly, flagged potential issues early, and came with solutions instead of problems. As homeowners juggling work and family, this significantly reduced our stress and mental load. Design-wise, Cong Sheng has a good eye and knows when to add flair without going overboard. He helped refine our ideas into something cohesive, timeless, and functional rather than overly trendy. Storage planning, layout flow, and material choices were all carefully thought through with family living in mind. We also appreciated his honesty when it came to budget. He explained trade-offs clearly, didn’t hard-sell unnecessary upgrades, and even helped us make sensible decisions that saved costs without compromising quality. Now that the renovation is complete, our home feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely enjoyable to live in. If you’re a BTO owner looking for a designer who is dependable, excellent at coordination, reducing owner stress, and still delivers thoughtful design for real family living, I would confidently recommend Cong Sheng from Jialux. And if you happen to meet him randomly at an event—don’t let that "wild Pokémon" escape 😄
