Addis was the ID for my mum's house, and despite issues cropping up, he was always able to resolve it. There were issues with worker communication, as well as initial quality, and when we voiced out, he was always very quick to ask the respective workers down to resolve it to our satisfaction. Addis was also down at the worksite frequently to check on the work. Overall, the final workmanship was excellent, and my mum was very happy with the final product. Thank you!

Renovating a home involves many decisions and moving parts, from discussing ideas to choose finishes and seeing everything come together on site. We appreciate the work carried out by the Renologist team throughout our renovation and the effort involved in coordinating the various aspects of the project. It was a significant process for us as homeowners, and finally see the completed space. Thank you to everyone involved in helping us through the renovation journey. There was some miscommunication, but it can be improved. Keep it up.

We recently completed a full home renovation for our BTO with Kenneth Kwan, and overall we are extremely satisfied with the entire experience from start to finish. From our very first consultation, it was clear that Kenneth genuinely wanted to understand what we needed, not just what looked good on paper. He took the time to ask thoughtful questions about our lifestyle, daily habits, and how we actually use our space, and used that to shape design ideas that felt tailor-made for us. Many of the suggestions were things we hadn't even thought of ourselves, but once proposed, he made perfect sense for how we live. Site visits, meetings, and updates all happened on schedule, which gave us a lot of confidence and peace of mind, especially since renovation horror stories about delays and poor communication are so common. We always knew what stage we were at and what to expect next, which made the whole process far less stressful than we anticipated. The design itself struck a great balance between aesthetics and practicality. Our favourite part has to be the kitchen as we went with an open concept layout, and the island turned out even better than we imagined. It's become the natural gathering point in our home, whether we're cooking, having quick meals, or just chatting while someone's prepping food. The dry pantry alongside it was such a smart addition too, giving us tons of extra storage while keeping the main kitchen area clean and clutter-free. Beyond the kitchen, storage was maximised throughout the flat (which matters a lot in a BTO!), traffic flow felt natural, and small daily inconveniences we didn't even flag were quietly solved. It's the kind of design that looks great in photos but works even better in everyday life. What really impressed us, though, was how Kenneth handled things when problems came up. At one point our carpentry work didn't turn out as planned, but instead of brushing it off or making excuses, he took ownership of the issue immediately and got it rectified quickly. It's easy for an ID to look good when everything goes smoothly, but seeing how responsibly and promptly he dealt with a mistake gave us even more confidence in him. Not every hiccup can be avoided in a renovation, but having someone who takes responsibility and fixes things fast makes all the difference. Pricing was also fair and transparent. We never felt like we were being upsold unnecessarily, and the quotes given matched what we were eventually billed, with no unpleasant surprises along the way. Given the quality of work and service, we felt we got great value for what we paid.

I engaged Fineline for my home renovation and have paid 60% of the contract value to date. The original work schedule provided by Fineline indicated completion by 6 August. The project remains substantially incomplete. In late July, my assigned ID, James Tan, informed me that he had left the company but would nevertheless complete my project. On 8 August, after receiving no further update, I contacted him and was then informed that he would no longer be completing the project and that he was unable to advise who would take over. I have received no communication from Fineline regarding who will take over my project or how the outstanding works will be completed. I am also unable to establish contact with Fineline through its published email addresses and contact numbers.

One of the worst contractor experiences I have ever had. I paid 95% of the contract price, yet less than 50% of the agreed work was completed. The workmanship was poor, and although the contractor agreed to redo the defective work, they still failed to finish the job. What they left behind was completely unacceptable — exposed raw wood, protruding nails, splinter hazards and electrical wires left hanging. These are not minor cosmetic issues; they are serious safety concerns. And the worst part? I have been living with this situation for more than a month. My home has effectively been left in an unfinished and potentially dangerous condition, despite having already paid almost the entire contract amount. I gave the contractor an opportunity to rectify the problems. They failed to do so. I then sent formal legal correspondence, and they simply stopped communicating. 95% paid. Less than 50% completed. More than a month living with the mess. Safety hazards left behind. Legal letter ignored. Zero accountability. This is an astonishing level of poor workmanship, irresponsibility and lack of professionalism. Once most of the money was collected, there was apparently no urgency to complete the job or address the problems they created. An absolute nightmare from start to finish. Think very carefully before engaging this contractor. I would not recommend them to anyone. Contractor from hell — USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

With so many reno nightmares seen on social media these days, my wife and I were assured that we are in the good hands of Jaylene. Her initiative and accountability were the reasons behind the assurance, not just via empty promises. The timeline she provided was pretty much on point and even if there were delays, we were updated promptly from her site visits. We spoke to a few IDs before choosing Gina for our first home renovation. Her professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care immediately gave us confidence that we had made the right choice. The entire renovation process was smooth and even completed our renovation ahead of schedule. We are satisfied with the workmanship and quality and were also thankful to her team. We are happy with our home and so grateful to have Gina with us throughout the journey. We would recommend her to anyone looking for an ID who is reliable and genuinely cares about her clients.

Seeing all the reno horror stories online, we were honestly quite scared of facing the same thing ourselves. We were referred to Phyllis and Valerie from Massing by a friend, and we couldn’t be more thankful that we decided to engage them.   From start to finish, they were super responsive, responsible, and easy to work with. They gave us very great advices throughout, while also being very open to our ideas, needs, and wants. It was really easy to communicate with them, and they totally understood what we want. Working with them is like working on a school project together, easy and fun.   Not to exaggerate, but there really wasn’t a point where we were worried about the reno. Phyllis and Valerie were really great at project management. We never had to worry about what was happening next, chase contractors, or stress over issues on site. They were proactive in providing updates and spotting mistakes and getting them fixed. Even when there was something we specifically wanted changed, they never made us feel bad about it or tried to push back, and would get it sorted out promptly.   Overall, working with Phyllis and Valerie was such a great experience, and we’re super glad we chose them. Most importantly, we’re very happy that we got our dream house without having to experience any of the horror stories we had been reading about online, while having so much fun throughout the process.

I engaged Lab73 for the renovation of my 3-room HDB home, and overall, I am extremely happy with the results. From the initial design discussions to the completion of the renovation, the team was professional, approachable, and willing to work closely with me to bring my ideas to life. What impressed me most was how open they were to my ideas and preferences. At the same time, they also shared their own creative and practical suggestions, which helped improve the overall design and functionality of my home. It truly felt like a collaboration rather than simply following a standard design. I am particularly pleased with the LED lighting installed under the kitchen countertop and at the bottom of the kitchen cabinets. These small details made a big difference to the overall ambience and gave my kitchen a much more modern and premium look. The display cabinet in my bedroom was another highlight. The workmanship, layout, and finishing exceeded my expectations, and both bathrooms now feel much more modern and comfortable. Overall, I would highly recommend Lab73 to anyone looking to renovate their home. Their willingness to listen, attention to detail, quality workmanship, and ability to contribute their own ideas made the entire renovation journey a very positive experience. We had a great experience working with Harold for our home. Right from the start, he was very open to our ideas and accommodating with our layout designs, while also providing and integrating practical advice from his own experience. We really appreciated his willingness to try new things and compromise on certain design elements. He successfully helped us incorporate a side-opening dry pantry and helped make our vision of a cat walkway integrated with our aircon trunking possible.
