Your Future Tampines GreenVerge Home Could Look Like This

3D ‘sneak previews’ (read: inspiration) for your renovation!

With 2,022 units comprising of 3Gen, 3-, 4- and 5-room flats, Tampines GreenVerge is set to be one of the largest HDB developments in the area, alongside others like Tampines GreenView, GreenBloom and GreenFlora. So, if you’re moving into any of these estates, be prepared to have plenty of neighbours around.

However, there’s still some time before Tampines GreenVerge’s completion date (estimated to be between 3Q2020 to 1Q2021) – which is why we got three interior design firms Arche Interior, Ethereall, and Meter Square to first give you an idea of what your future home could look like!

1. A white-and-wood 3-room flat with complementary grey granite accents

3-room units at Tampines GreenVerge do have the same standard layout as most homes of the same size, so the biggest differentiator between your flat and others is likely going to be its looks – and that’s where Ethereall’s take on the white-and-wood theme comes into the picture.

Choice accents – in the form of a grey accent wall, furnishings and speckled granite surfaces – make for simple, but effective highlights in an otherwise minimalist space. The same goes for sleek black metal features, such as framed openings as well as screens, which are essentials for a touch of industrial style.

Wood is also a key element of the look that Ethereall created, and its application is eminently noticeable due to the variety of formats used. Ever a classic, herringbone makes its appearance in the living areas, whereas plank trim lining the walls of a cosy chic shower create an interesting contrast with a stony-grey bathroom vanity.

2. A 4-room flat with stylish communal spaces and a serene bedroom

When done right, modern homes can be highly relaxing spaces and Arche Interior’s inclusion of subtly stylish furnishings in their mock-up of a neutral-filled Tampines GreenView 4-room flat certainly proves the point with its soft curves and clean lines, which add varied character to calming backdrops of grey.

That said, the true beauty of this 3D home lies in its unique floor plan, which eschews the standard HDB room layout in favour of a more efficient configuration. For instance, better flow is achieved by transforming one of the junior bedrooms into a living area, which in turn creates a direct path from the kitchen to all of the home’s communal zones.

Similarly, the master bedroom’s configuration has been optimised by merging it with an adjacent room to create a larger boudoir and a walk-in wardrobe. To take full advantage of the view from the balcony (yes, some Tampines GreenView 4-room flats have one), Arche Interior also included a custom bed with a built-in study desk in their plans.

3. A whitewashed 4-room flat that mixes contemporary and classic elements

As a luxe accent, moulding is often used in living spaces as a subtle, but effective way of conveying classic charm, and this feature definitely has a role to play in this virtual 4-room flat created by Meter Square, which also incorporates a variety of contemporary details.

Brass and other metallic accents found throughout the living and dining areas bring extra pizzazz to the surroundings, and the same goes for marble-textured features, including the kitchen’s backsplash as well as a breakfast counter that also helps to maximise the space’s open layout.

Meanwhile, the master bedroom takes on a more restful, but no less classy appearance with a combination of teal-and-grey that brings a relaxed vibe to the space; coupled with an efficient wraparound of built-in storage fixtures, this boudoir has the best of both worlds –complete comfort as well as full functionality.

4. An elegant 5-room flat inspired by the art deco style

What makes the art deco style stand out is its use of bold, muted colours as well as strong but simplistic geometrical shapes, and all of these decor elements are on full display in this 5-room flat by Ethereall.

In the kitchen and living room, an eye-catching palette of deep green and powdery pink, coupled with curvy nooks takes both spaces from regular to extraordinary. The same goes for a fashionable selection of furniture and fixtures, including globe lamps and a swanky velvet sofa, which make for a highly appealing communal setting.

This formula was likewise applied to the bathroom, which comes off as a striking space with its statement colours and varied material palette (granite, terrazzo and blonde wood) that ooze glamour without coming off as either gaudy or tacky.

5. A dramatic 3Gen flat, filled with moody colours and contemporary details

It isn’t hard to picture this 3Gen flat mock-up by Arche Interior as an actual home in the heart of Tampines. After all, with its well-planned interior, it could easily be the perfect pad for a family of four adults (or more).

Taking a closer look at Arche Interior’s proposed floor plan, it’s clear to see that the living area is neatly segregated to serve as an entertainment zone as well as a communal study; whereas private spaces, like the bedrooms, are outfitted with functional fixtures to make the most of available square footage, yet retain the spaciousness expected of a 3Gen flat’s boudoir.

Last but not least, the choice of moody, but cosy hues complete the vibe of this well-designed 3Gen home, where a calming palette of grey, browns and white creates a relaxing ambience that’s perfect for spending quality family time in.

6. A modern minimalist 3Gen flat with a focus on family-friendly spaces

More than any other HDB flat type, 3Gen units are meant to be multigenerational homes (it’s in the name after all), and it was with this purpose in mind that Meter Square came up with the plans for this flexible, spacious abode, which caters to the needs of both the young and old.

Not only does the flat’s airy open layout lend itself well to family life, it also provides ample space to move about safely and comfortably while keeping all of the home’s key communal zones, such as the living room, dining area, and a glass-walled study in plain sight.

To keep a consistent look and feel going throughout the entire interior, including functional zones like the kitchen and yard, Meter Square’s design also largely focuses on two elements: namely light wood finishes as well as efficient storage fixtures, which make a tidy home possible – both in 3D as well as in real life.
