The light industrial style is expressed through the use of cement plaster finishes to the ceiling and master bathroom. Tiles whose texture and colour resembled cement were selected to complement the cement plaster finishes. Smooth white walls that demarcated various spaces through their sleek profiles allowed the warmth of the Walnut display ledge running through the dining and living room to stand against. This is complemented by the dark timber furnishings in the amalgamated dining and living room. Due to the usage of a design language that communicated the full height proportions of the apartment space, many custom features would have difficulty fitting through the doorframe easily and had to be built on site. These walls also become a canvas against which the custom built elements, such as the sliding glass door inset with smoked glass, begins to separate living zones while maintaining visual continuity. When moved to reveal the kitchen beyond, the full-height doors neatly covers the adjacent white wall from edge to edge - the door has morphed into intentional wall treatment.

About 0932 Design Consultants

A certain 09 : 32 in the year 2011 was when a leap of faith was taken one that was fueled by the nebular vapours shared between two friends; essentially, imaginations of crafting comfortable spaces that are at once beautiful and functional. "A man who works with his hands is a labourer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist." - Louis Nizer 0932 is a manifestation of Nizer's inspired musings - a collective driven by an admiration for delicately complex craftsmanship, behind what usually looks deceptively simple. We believe in working heartily; being concerned with having an intimate acquaintance with building materials, in working them into our architecture. In fact, oftentimes, architecture happens even as one of us becomes thoughtful on the simple matter of the way bricks will be aligned.
