An industrial theme was what the owner was seeking for. Black frames & cement laminates is widely used in the whole house to create an industrial touch. Shoe cabinet created with black aluminium frame was a design that was highly sought for because it adds character to the house and not just cluttered by carpentry. Leading into the living area, the cement grid wall is actually a feature wall design that many homeowner have specially come to us for. We created a cement grid feel that you see at industrial areas, yet it is easy to maintain and is actually one of the many stucco wall creations. The unique part of the kitchen is the stainless steel backing used instead of subway tiles, tempered glass, or kompacplus backing which is commonly used this days. Stainless steel backing was widely used in the past, but not so much in the modern context. Matching with the black and grey theme, the kitchen gives off a raw overall feel. Bedroom has a mini-walk-in wardrobe area, with one side being a half height cabinet that acts as storage, as well as, a divider for privacy when sleeping on the platform created by us that blends in with the TV feature wall, as a focal point of the whole room. Same tone of black and grey goes into the bedroom, creating a cozy feel.

Nathaniel Leong
Responsive, Reliable, Respectful.

Responsive, Reliable, Respectful. As we were very mindful of selecting the right partner and heard plenty of horror stories of IDs, we started our ID journey meeting close to 10 different firms, Neville from Aart Boxx Interior was clearly one of our top choices as he was patient, walked us through various options we were considering and took the effort to give various quotes for us to compare what we envisioned vs us keeping to the budget. He took special efforts even at the preliminary stages to be detailed and discussed various benefits/potential challenges of certain layout/ carpentry configurations. Our works were rather extensive as we hacked and retiled and did a full revamp of the bathrooms as well. Despite many moving parts, what was most impressive was Neville’s responsiveness (always a reply within the day) and him keeping us in the loop and recommending various options. (He recommended a change in heater which doesn't cost much as he noticed the current ones were old and close to useful life which would have been a pain replacing further down the road and more costly.) Neville is extremely impressive in project management and ensuing he answers all our questions/clarification/concerns. His ability to remember the small details (Slope drop down for shower area vs kerb etc.) and genuine belief in helping us attain our dream home by ensuring rectification/ touch ups are done to our standards by following up is extremely impressive. Ultimately, renovation is never an easy process with lots of headwinds and changes along the way but having a trusted partner like Neville who ensures things are done to completion and addresses your concerns is tough to find and would highly recommend him.
