The design process started with the client’s wish to display framed caricatures of themselves collected over the years they are together. We decided to make that the feature of the whole space. Making use of the corridor, we used the ceiling to draw focus towards the living room side where the ceiling becomes the caricature wall before becoming a ledge where the TV console and shoe cabinets sit on. The ledge also serves as a bench for seats when the couple host a house party. We also took it on to design the coffee table as part of the interior ambience!
