Project Details
We were inspired by the clashing of various building elements of the building: the old school false ceiling, the mirrored columns, the different heights of visual interactions.
The design revolves around the sensitivity to different activities’ eye-levels; when seated at the black concrete table, you are exposed to curated display objects, that continues to the entrance of the space. Most people have to slightly bend their body to see through the glass before knowing what lies beyond the thick, solid threshold of the office front. The black space deliberately contrasts the lightweight aluminium frames of the old ceiling, extending beyond its real physical space. We were inspired by the clashing of various building elements of the building: the old school false ceiling, the mirrored columns, the different heights of visual interactions.
