Having Eddie as our ID made our renovations process more arduous and taxing and gave us a greater headache as compared to not having an ID. He is not only irresponsible, but also charges customers incorrectly. We decided to engage eddie after seeing the wonderful reviews and upon first impression, he was approachable and answered all our queries promptly prior to starting renovation. However, once we paid the first cycle and started work, Eddie was MIA, he was not there to supervise the works, no proper briefing was done to his workers and there was poor communication and execution with all the work involved. Firstly carpentry works came that were not according to the specifications that Eddie and I have discussed and drawn up. In the end we had to “suck it up and accept it” since the carpentry had been drilled into the toilet wall. This shows lack of communication between him and his workers. Secondly, his carpenters were not briefed on what to do for the carpentry. Initially, the carpenter built the wardrobe wrongly and after I saw it, I contacted eddie and he paid lipservice, did not come down and make sure works went accordingly and at the end I had to personally supervise and ensure that the carpenter built my wardrobe according to the design plans laid out. On this point, a lot of items eddie promised he will do from the start, is not done when the works are completed, you as a homeowner have to supervise each and every detail and make sure it is done, if not he wont care. An example would be promising us blum and excel hardware, charging us for it, but not including it when the carpentry came. Only when we checked the hinges did we realise it was not what was promised. The workman ship of the wardrobes were also extremely subpar, detailing was off and the backboard of the wardrobe has already warped. Looks nice on the outside for sure, but not sure if it will last. Mirrors installed come slanted when you pull out the cupboard because the hinges used cant support the weight of the mirror. Lastly, poor communication regarding the works done in our toilet resulted in irreparable holes in the newly installed wall tiles. Eddie has apologised for the cock up and mentioned that his workers did not do a good job and scolded the plumber boss because “plumber do until like that how is he as an ID going to handover to the homeowner?” The context is that this could have been avoided if the plumbers properly accounted for the holes in the walls meant for the pipes before the tiler tiled the new wall tiles. However there was no communication and planning, as such the wall tiles were already put up and the plumber had to hammer ugly big holes into the new wall tiles to put his pipes. Overall this journey with eddie has been one that gave us sleepless nights and many back and forth arguments. At the end of the day, having to deal with him was the biggest headache in the renovation process and you still have the supervise the works by yourself because he will be proactive before you pay, but not care the moment works start. overall a nightmare
