It was great working with Jia and Free Space Intent. The company was very responsive, although there was a bit of a challenge sourcing for materials as Jia would propose some hard-to-find options. Like for example, the lounge partition doors' vintage glass panels. But at the end of the day, they (FSI) managed to source the glass panels from Malaysia, which really showed their resourcefulness.

We engaged Raymond from FSI as we were drawn to his portfolio and felt that we could communicate well with him. I had a pleasant experience working with Raymond and his team, and he showed a lot of understanding of our preferences and would produce drawings that captured the essence of what we wanted even though we might not have explicitly mentioned it to him – that’s how well he anticipated our needs. Raymond and his team were attentive and meticulous, taking into account all of the intricacies when building our furniture – they did their job so well that I couldn’t find problems with their workmanship!

My friend recommended Free Space Intent having used them before. I mainly chose them due to the recommendation from my friend, the work they did on my friend's house which I saw and the good rapor and communication we had while working with Raymond. Raymond was a really on-the-ball guy and nothing was impossible for him. he came up with solutions whenever we encountered a problem and he was really reliable. He really is a solutions guy and that was very good. I highly recommend Raymond and Free Space Intent to anybody who is looking for an interior designer. Renovations completed on Q4 2016

My wife actually found Free Space Intent on a magazine and actually went to contact them. I felt that the rapor that Raymond built was good and it sold me to work with them. Raymond was very helpful in terms of the design and was very patient in tending to our requirements. He is very responsive and is very good as he addresses our concerns and issues. He was actually very good and my sis-in-law is actually engaging them as well for her own house and we've actually recommened them to some other friends who were thinking of doing some renovations. One thing I would say was that their price could be lower. As we initially only engaged a total of 3 IDs, we didn't have much comparison in terms of the quotation. Naturally along the process we had a few changes here and there and there were some parts which I felt could be taken out or had to be added in and as such our budget also kept changing. In the end, our budget had increased and it would have been helpful if it was cheaper. Renovations completed on August 2016

I used Qanvast to actually find some contemporary IDs and after the filtering process from Qanvast, Free Space Intent was one of them. After meeting all the 5 of the recommended IDs, I found that Leon from Free Space Intent really managed to capture my attention. I would say the key reason why I chose him was that he was very participative when I talked to him. It felt that like to the other ID's, we were just a job and did the bare minimum. However, Leon went the extra mile and really went beyond. He had a lot of ideas and gave a lot of feedback. To me, this was really important in my decision as I felt his sincerity in his approach and work. His work was excellent and even after the completion, he went on to actually come back and inspect the work to see if there are any other defects. It was a actually a very long process and journey that he took with us. We started this journey with him on May 2016 and only got our keys on November 2016. Our renovation works actually only commenced the next year on February 2017. So actually he's been on board with us for close to a year. During this time, he was actually very patient and continued to work with us even though we took a long time to actually do the job. What's more, ours was only a small job but Leon was consistent throughout the whole time. I really respect his patience and commitment and this only made the renovation process that much smoother. There were very little problems, minor defects here and there but Leon was very quick to repait them. In fact, he took the time off to actually accompany us to help us choose the furnishing for the house, even though he won't earn anything from this trip. In the end, I was really moved by his actions and we actually became good friends and we still keep in contact till this day. I can say that his passion for this job was really shown through his work ethic and I am very pleased to have engaged him for the renovations. Renovations completed on April 2017 Cost of Renovation: $30,000
