First and foremost, we'd like to express our gratitude to Andy and Ferlynna for their exceptional efforts in expediting our condo renovation, completing it within a month. Our primary focus for this renovation project was the living room and kitchen area, where they demonstrated their expertise. The main areas of attention included the false ceiling, flooring, and cabinetry. To be frank, considering the tight timeline, they did a remarkable job on these three key aspects. Their ideas and suggestions added a unique touch to our initial renovation plans. What truly stood out was their professionalism in aligning their suggestions with our daily needs, preferences, and budget constraints. Their carpentry skills and workmanship left us impressed and satisfied. One minor hiccup we encountered was a delay in the supply chain for aluminum frames due to Feng Shui restrictions that prevented us from drilling post-move-in. This required us to schedule a follow-up installation after we settled into our new home. While this issue was beyond their control, it could have been mitigated with a slight extension of the renovation timeline by 1-2 weeks, benefiting both parties. Additionally, we were unaware of the timeline for the installation of a gas meter, which has yet to be addressed. It appears that this should have been integrated into the renovation timeline, and it was a missed opportunity for our interior designer (ID) to address this aspect. Despite this, the overall renovation work was impressive and deserves a solid 4.5/5 rating, with no regrets. We also appreciate the electrician, painter, and plumber services they provided. The electrician, in particular, offered a competitive and reasonable quote compared to our previous experiences with electricians for HDB flats. We extend our gratitude to these professionals for their expertise and efficiency. We would rate the electrician, plumber, and painter with a commendable 4.5/5 for their pricing and workmanship. In conclusion, we are delighted with the renovation outcome and the services provided by Andy, Ferlynna, and their team. Despite a couple of minor hiccups, the overall experience was positive, and we would not hesitate to engage them in future.

I had the pleasure of working with Frank & Emily from Design Story for a complete renovation of my resale landed property done Nov’22. Adherence to timeline, design and workmanship were my main priority of selection. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome! Great experience working with Design Story for the renovation of my 4-room resale HDB. They were professional, familiar with HDB regulations, and very communicative. Frank is obviously experienced in the renovation business and the sub-contractors were well-managed. Our designer and project manager was Jason who was patient dealing with our questions and worked hard to resolve issues that cropped up in the course of the work. I chose Design Story initially mainly because their quotation was detailed and outlined all the works that needed to be done to achieve what we wanted, so there were no surprises with the bill at the end of the day. They do carpentry work in-house; they pay attention to it, and the quality is good. We also asked them to custom-make a fold-down table after we saw one in their office, and we're very pleased with it! I am also happy with the design solutions they offered for the small bathrooms. All in all, it was much smoother-sailing that I anticipated; the main problems were delays due to supply chain issues. Even after the official hand-over, they were still helping us to resolve some unexpected minor problems, which we appreciated.

Had engaged frank from design story for the renovation to our condo apartment. We share common design style and ideas while he also listen to our requirement and constraints. He produce decent 3D and aligned to what we need to achieve for our desired Carpentry work. Calm and patient during our discussion and also at time adapt to our last minutes changes. Given great advise to the selection of material and choice of colours for various installation which we greatly appreciate. Implementation and installation near Chinese new year period was very challenging, frank and his carpenters demonstrate professionalism getting Carpentry work installed on time and rectifying every single issues which we raised. Many effort for coordination and planning required for scope excluded which we co-partner to achieve completion together. We successfully move in on our target date. Great Thank You to design Story!

The journey looking for the right interior designer (ID) quite difficult for a plan major renovation for a recent purchased unit in August 2021. Conducted a search on good renovation companies. Sadly many customers seen with unpleasant experienced with poor actual renovation outcomes. Quite worried, as not sure who could be trusted for a good, right ID. Even more difficult to find an ID person with honesty, integrity with good quality reliable workmanship. Then started to search for more sincere genuine renovation reviews. Then see more issues on client’s problems during and after their renovations. As looking for an ID with own carpentry workshop with good carpentry workmanship skills so few. Then started to test how well ID communication skills was. See if their sincere communication skill response good enough, especially concerning design, cost, timeline, inventory issues, manpower, etc. Few responded with sincerity. Few eager to sign immediately without proper explanation and planning details. Few giving good, expensive free gifts package deals (which too good to be true). Then meet Frank, from Design Story. In the first contact, felt good as his personality of a good person, showed clearly. Means a sign of a person with sincerity and honesty. Very glad and felt fortunate to meet Design Story. Completed the dream house renovation recently with nice modern design in Feb 2022. Consulted several IDs before choosing Frank’s service. No doubt that his fees are on a steeper side, the pivot point was the effort of 3D drawings he presented in retrospect to other IDs. 80% true to fact that his drawings are translated in the real life. If it can’t be done, truthful feedbacks are given. Ultimately, Frank’s team will deliver and uphold upon what’s agreed. Before going to any ID is important to know what you want. I was selective on what I want, contrary, my mum was clueless. Frank was patient and much willing to acknowledge our needs and designed what we like. I work long and odd hours and Frank was always on the ball with my messages and requests. Workmanship, his carpentry work is satisfactory. Nonetheless rectification work is carried out timely and effectively. Deliverables & Timeline was punctual even though we the COVID restrictions then. Overall, great effort and work done by Design Story. Very much appreciative of designing the place to be comfortable and welcoming. Thank you

Firstly, i would like to commend Frank for being the best ID amongst the rest that we have surveyed. He was the only ID that gave us a clear quotation with digital drawing for us to view his works. It was impressive! The main reason why we actually decided to choose Design Story as our ID. Most of the IDs we surveyed, (we surveyed about 6-7 IDs) only gave us a generic quotation with nothing to visualize on. First impressions are the most important and Frank won us with his first effort! It was the main factor that made us decide to have him as our ID. We knew we were in good hands with Frank as he lives up to his name and is always frank about the reality of some of the renovation ideas. Secondly, he made sure that everything was seamless from the very start, and i must say, it was a smooth sailing experience. Every week, we came to our bto to see progress being done for our renovation and we were very very impressed. Every week surely there was something that was done. Thirdly, despite the Covid situation, Frank was able to coordinate and communicated clearly of every aspect of the renovation well and there was no long waiting times for each aspects. He made it convenient for us during selection of tiles and colour schemes by shortlisting those that fit our home concept. Everything was laid out for us in his office and we didn't have to go down to some tile shops to view even. I feel that this was great as, if he had brought us to a tile shop to choose the tiles and colours, we would eventually be so spoiled of the many choices and wasted time to pick out what we wanted. Frank narrowed down our choices and it was such a breeze settling all the tiles selection. Fourthly, we had started our renovation mid of August, and the whole renovation lasted for 3 months. We moved in comfortably by mid November. Seriously, the renovation took place fast and with great quality. We had neighbours who started their renovation the same time as us, and still not done with their renovation even up till date, Feb 2022. So i must really thank Frank for being efficient and for all of his hardwork. He would always reply to any of our concerns within minutes regardless of time and we always seek his great opinion when it comes to getting the home appliances so as to match the concept of the renovation. He made everything easy with his feedback. Last but not least, definitely there were some little hiccups, but Frank rectified everything almost immediately or the next working day. He always reassured us that any problems or dissatisfaction will be addressed and rectified. We had some issues with our Island+dining table but Frank made sure to rectify it before handing over the house to us. We could see his sincere effort to make sure things were rectified up to our satisfaction, as he went down on his own to fix the things we pointed out to him. He is definitely a very reliable ID and would go out of his way to make sure his clients are happy with his works. I am really happy with how the house turned out. In comparison with the digital drawings he had for us, it was definitely 95% similar! All i can say are good words for Frank and Design Story. It's a major plus point to engage a Renovation ID that has In-House Carpentry during these Covid times, to ensure all works are running smoothly. We're fortunate to have Frank as our ID as to be honest he is very meticulous and will factor in all the little little details that we home owners might overlook. He is strong on aesthetics and practicality which is in line with our expectations as well. My husband and i are very happy to have engaged Design Story and to have Frank as our ID. We love our home so much and all of our relatives are shocked with how big and spacious our home look like despite it being a 4 room bto, all thanks to Frank. We were introduced by Frank through our friends referral. Being new first time owners, Frank is able to gather our ideas and manifest them into reality. He is professional and knows his stuff well and was able to answer our queries and provide quick alternatives when materials were out of stock or when issues cropped up along the way. During the renovation process, we have a few minor changes but he is always accommodating and quick to assist us. He is creative in his design and 3D drawing. We loved the fine details and appreciate the effort he put for us in his carpentry for example a built in shoe cabinet to maximise the space. We are very grateful that he was able to complete the project within a short time span and during peak period as well. The renovation process was smoother with his expertise. We are fortunate to have Frank and Jason as our ID. We are pleased with the transformation that they have given our home and the level of service that they have offered. We choose design story because we really appreciated Frank, who is the owner of the firm, directly attending to us. He was extremely responsive and attentive in providing us solutions to any challenges that we had. On an ongoing project management perspective, Jason was in charge of dealing with the day to day. Jason showed the same care and customer centricity as Frank did and we really enjoyed working with him. The size of project that we had with DS was relatively small but Frank and Jason still provided the same care and attention to our project. I was also impressed with several subcontractors that DS engaged. In particular, the ceiling and the painters were able to do an excellent job considering the initial state of the house. Overall, I would say the star quality of the team is their attention to the customer and efforts made to accommodate any request, no matter how small. I chose to use the ID Frank from Design Story through recommendation by a family member. I am very happy with the renovation done at my apartment & would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for an ID to renovate their house. Ryan Lee is efficient and communicative ID. We are happy with his dedicated work. Through the whole process, Ryan listens well and understand what we want. He also gave us advice on choosing colors, maintenance of tiles and share the different qualities of woods for our knowledge. All the site works he arranged for were delivered in a timely manners.
