We had a good reno experience with Shawn Tan. It’s our family’s first renovation and we were quite unsure what to expect but Shawn patiently guided us through. He was also very responsive to my mother’s calls to address her queries (thanks Shawn). While there were hiccups along the way, I think he demonstrated initiative in resolving the issues and took responsibility to replace the defects we spotted. We’re satisfied with the end result and no regrets choosing MET Interior.

We took a very long time to find the right ID, it's almost as hard as finding a life partner. We were so glad to have chosen Shawn as our design preferences aligned right from the start. With his experience, it made most of our reno journey a breeze. What stood out to us from the start is how he effectively listened to our vision for our own home, and would even proactively suggest a "better" option that we lay people would never think of. When we pointed out any thing we would like altered or modified, he would try his best to efficiently address the issue. I feel that's what home owners should look out for in their ID.

Shawn and YS were very helpful with our renovation. Being new homeowners, we were very lost at what can or cannot be done for our resale flat. They guided us on considerations and help us visualise the final work. Not pushy and very respectful of our design choice. They were also very prompt in their communications, keeping us in the loop and updating our drawings as we go. The finishing for our cabinets are well done, and functional.

Throughout the renovation, my ID, Yeap Sheng (YS) would constantly keep us updated on what needed to be done. He would ensure that the contractors followed according to plan, allowing us to have peace of mind. This isn’t a paid review at all, but I truly believe that credit needs to be given when it’s deserved. YS truly set the benchmark to be an interior designer. He would answer our queries and questions, even carving out time on weekends to ensure things are done smoothly. When there are minor rectifications to be done, it’s usually done within a few days. I’m truly amazed at the speed and service from YS. Thank you for helping us to design our home. 🙏🏼

We are very satisfied with the final outcome of the renovation. The workmanship is excellent and our mum's house looks beautiful. Melvin's work speaks for itself - I previously had him do my own place 11 years ago, and everything still looks and functions like new. I met Peiyin and Minhui at Qanvast hangout event and we hit it off straight away with them patiently listening to the style I was looking for and also proposing feasible suggestions which would make design synergise with everyday functionality. I appreciated their enthusiasm and proactivity to my requests as they provided details required to quickly progress things forward. Every step of the way of this renovation journey was made worry- free with their prompt responses and also attention to detail. Though there were some small slip-ups along the way but these were rectified quickly and overall workmanship was in general good. In general, major works were done for my flat but MET managed the schedule well to deliver on target within expectation each time. Appreciate Minhui for her attention to detail and going the extra mile to make sure things were made practical and works well design-wise with her keen sense of colour combination. Thanks to Peiyin for her diligence, prompt arrangements and enthusiasm to make sure things were done properly by the contractors/vendors. Last but not least, special thanks also going out to Young for his the practical advise and sharing interesting perspectives based on experience, making the renovation a smooth one. One areas of improvement would perhaps be the price point, not the most expensive but not the cheapest either however for the smooth journey, responsiveness and workmanship, it was reasonable for me. We highly recommend Yeap Sheng from MET Interior, as we never imagined a renovation experience could be so seamless—especially compared to what we went through during the renovation of our first home. We started sourcing for interior designers early as we did not want to rush into making a decision. In the end, we shortlisted MET Interior because we found Yeap Sheng to be very creative in addressing our many problems and limitations. He took note of our preferences and consistently provided suggestions that were both practical and cost-efficient. The actual renovation work began almost nine months after our confirmation with Yeap Sheng, as our home’s completion date was delayed by the developer. During those nine months, our requirements evolved, resulting in several changes to our renovation plans. Many ideas were added and removed along the way, yet Yeap Sheng remained patient and responsive throughout. We were also impressed by the virtual tour created by MET Interior, which allowed us to visualize our space in a holistic manner. When the renovation finally began, everything proceeded smoothly. Yeap Sheng was quick, efficient, and proactive in liaising with various parties (lighting, electrical, fans, etc.). It was clear that much groundwork had already been done in preparation. He worked closely with us on the finer details to ensure dimensions fit and verified requirements before installations. Even when our key collection coincided with his pre-planned vacation, he coordinated with his colleagues to ensure that the first site visit was conducted without delay. We were also impressed by the teamwork among the different IDs within MET Interior. During the renovation, I was heavily pregnant and unable to visit the site frequently. However, we received almost daily updates on the progress, and the schedule was clearly well-organized to ensure that different works were carried out consecutively without delays. The quality of workmanship exceeded our expectations. One example is when we engaged a professional cleaning company for formaldehyde removal — the formaldehyde level from MET Interior’s new carpentry was even lower than that of the original carpentry built by our developer. We are truly grateful for the entire experience and would wholeheartedly recommend Yeap Sheng and MET Interior to anyone seeking a quality, stress-free renovation journey.
