We recently completed our renovation with Yun Yang from ProjectGuru, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better ID to work with. Anyone who’s been through a reno knows how nerve-wracking it can be, but Yun Yang made the whole journey so much smoother. We never once had to chase him for updates—he was always proactive with photos, videos, and quick messages to let us know exactly what was happening on site. What really won our trust was how he handled hiccups. No renovation goes 100% without site surprises, but whenever something unexpected cropped up, Yun Yang didn't just dump the problem on us. He’d point it out right away, explain the situation clearly, and will share practical alternatives ready for us to consider. More than that, we really appreciated his candid working style. If an idea we liked wasn’t practical or wouldn't hold up long-term, he’d tell us straight and suggest a better way to do it, which saved us a lot of potential headaches down the road. If you’re planning your home renovation and want someone reliable, honest, and truly meticulous, we definitely recommend Yun Yang!

I’ve known Russell since our polytechnic days, although we had not kept in touch for quite some time. One day, I came across his Instagram posts showcasing the projects by One Interior SG, and I was truly impressed by the quality of their designs. That was what led me to engage Russell & Arielle for my home renovation, and looking back, it was one of the best decisions I made. We had a truly fulfilling experience working with them. We met a total of 6 IDs before deciding to go with Renologist and CY, and we’re really happy with our decision! One of the main reasons we chose CY was because we really liked the way he communicated with us. He was easy to talk to and was able to value-add beyond just the renovation works. As we were working with a pretty tight budget, he even recommended some Shopee and Taobao items that we could consider getting ourselves to save some cost, which we really appreciated. What we really liked was that even while helping us work within our budget, CY was still able to balance it with the aesthetics and practicality of our home. He would share his suggestions and ideas based on what would work best for us, rather than simply pushing for more expensive options. Throughout the renovation process, CY has also been very patient with all our questions and requests. He’s very prompt in replying, which made things a lot easier for us, especially when there were so many things to coordinate. We genuinely enjoyed working with him and felt that we could trust him to coordinate with the contractors and oversee the renovation. Overall, it has been a really pleasant experience working with CY, and we’re happy with how everything is coming together. Thank you CY and Renologist for helping us with our home! 😊

We got connected with Rayn and Sasa at an ID event and hit it off from the start! 1) Responsiveness and Communication - They are super responsive and patiently answer our many questions - renovation is a source of worry in so many unpredictable ways and they’re always ready to alleviate those concerns. 2) Value-Add of an ID (in our opinion) - Learns our vision but also shares suggestions based on practicality (with relation to our life stage) and budget which was top of mind for us. - ⁠Rayn, with her experience as an ID, gives tactful honest advise without sugarcoat — this helps bc if you want something trendy or something that might turn tacky in a few years - she'll say so. You have the final say but this gives us the opportunity to make informed decisions. - ⁠⁠Sasa adds her own expertise from the perspective of a mother (as we're a young family) which helped a lot as well — while also going out of her way to manage the onsite works. 3) Very patient and journeyed with us the entire way - Across the renovation period - from initial design discussion, our many reviews and edits, tile selection, colour selection, changing our mind backward and forward - they have been nothing but gracious and kind. 4) Quality Assurance - They have strong relationship with the contractors and never compromises on quality. - ⁠eg. we brought in a separate deep cleaner for our carpentry and he noted low levels of formaldehyde - it’s clear the materials are simply of an assured quality and workmanship is there. Working with Rayn and Sasa has truly been a blessing - for a couple like us in a period of multiple transitions, we were grateful to have partners we could rely on, in decisions we should trust to have our interest at heart, and out of it, gained a friendship. Our Second Home with Rough Sketch — and We Would Choose Her Again in a Heartbeat! ❤️ This is our second time engaging Rough Sketch, and honestly, we didn’t even hesitate or feel the need to compare with other IDs. The mutual trust we have built over the years speaks for itself. If we ever move into our third home, she will definitely be our first and only choice! What we appreciate most is how extremely responsive, responsible, thoughtful and meticulous she is. She is fast and efficient, yet never compromises on the quality of her work. She knows we have two young children and a tight timeline, and she genuinely did her best to accommodate our needs. She even accompanied us to view the unit before we made our purchase, which speaks volumes about her thoughtfulness and commitment. Throughout the renovation, she kept things moving promptly and efficiently. She shortlisted design options for us, presented them clearly, and gave us choices without overwhelming or stressing us out with too many decisions. She also helped us with sourcing and purchasing the necessary hardware, which was especially helpful as busy parents with young children. We could trust her to take care of the details while keeping us updated along the way. One thing we are particularly grateful for is how she worked hard to ensure we could move in on time. We agreed to move in as scheduled and attend to the minor rectifications thereafter, and she managed the timeline without unnecessary delays or compromising on quality. That kind of commitment and responsibility gave us so much peace of mind. Even our post-renovation cleaning crew commented that the VOC levels were considered low and mentioned the use of high-quality materials. While we understand that VOC levels can depend on various factors, it was reassuring to hear this feedback and feel that the materials used in our home were a thoughtful consideration. To us, a good interior designer is not just someone who creates a beautiful home, but someone you can trust, communicate with easily, and rely on when things get busy. Rough Sketch has been all that and more. She understands our needs, respects our timeline, takes ownership of her work, and genuinely cares about the people she is designing for. We engaged Stephen for our 4 room HDB renovation and Stephen has made our renovation journey an extremely smooth one. From the initial planning, Stephen was creative in the designs while being patient and understanding of our needs. His attention to details, objectivity and patience are exactly what we needed when looking for an ID. Throughout the renovation, we are also impressed with Stephen providing us constant updates to keep us in track of what has been done onto our house. We had a good experience working with HongYee from Nest & Nook for the renovation of my mom’s home. He was patient, attentive and paid attention to detail throughout the entire process. What we appreciated most was how thoughtfully he designed the space around an elderly home, taking into consideration safety, accessibility, comfort and practicality. My work scope only cover flooring and kitchen cabinets. Then addon the glass doors and bedroom wardrobe. Nevertheless both him and his boss are very patient with me and work within my budget. He went through the checks from start - after I collected my keys to the ends rectification works follow-ups till handover. He kept everyone updated via group chats and indicate timeline in them. Even at the handover day, he recheck the unit before meeting me for handover. I truly appreciated all his time and efforts spent. Renovation process isn’t perfect but it still met my expectations. I moved in today to my new bto unit and I’m happy that met both he and his boss Roderiick.

We worked with Yve and Derrick from Forefront Interior who were responsive and responsible in responding to our queries and it was a pleasure working with them to flesh out a vision and bring it to fruition. Forefront has a robust system in place and we felt that all processes and work with contractors ran smoothly and without issue.
