Hi everyone, I would like to share some feedback as we are now at the final stage of my renovation. I want to express my appreciation to Vincent for his support and professionalism throughout the entire renovation process. From planning to execution, he has been responsible, responsive, and patient in addressing our questions and design adjustments. He also coordinated well with the contractors and kept us updated proactively at each stage, ensuring the progress and workmanship were well managed. We are very satisfied with the overall outcome. My renovation is about 80-90% done at this point. We originally engaged Katelyn for her design and we are comfortable explaining to her our ideas. Her design sense resonated well with us and we would seek her opinion on other stuff like furniture selection etc. Like any renovation, mine had its share of hiccups. As new home owners, there are areas that we are not familiar. This led to some shortcomings during the project, but Katelyn did put in the effort to resolve issues timely for the project. She also adapted the schedule to accommodate our travel plans. Part and parcel of the renovation journey. Happy with the carpentry workmanship. I am looking forward to the final outcome.

The atmosphere I want to express for Comuna Interior is rooted in a distinctly Singaporean sense of minimalism: calm, clean, modern, and deeply intentional. It is the kind of environment where simplicity is not emptiness, but clarity; where every material, every texture, and every line is chosen with purpose. The feeling should be one of quiet refinement, the type of space that naturally slows the mind, encourages ease, and supports a lifestyle grounded in balance and intentional living. Nothing should feel excessive or ornamental. Instead, the beauty comes from restraint — the soft harmony created by well-chosen materials and thoughtful spatial flow. The palette is gentle and contemporary, leaning into warm neutrals and subtle natural tones that feel at home in Singapore’s tropical light. Think soft beige, warm sand, muted taupe, white with warmth rather than starkness, and light grey that feels airy instead of cold. These tones are complemented by occasional accents in charcoal, matte black, or soft sage, used sparingly to add depth and rhythm. The goal is a palette that invites calmness and feels cohesive across different rooms, creating a seamless sense of continuity. Materials play a critical role in shaping this minimalist identity. Natural woods with light or medium tones, smooth stone-like surfaces, textured fabrics, and matte finishes form the foundation. Oak, ash, birch, bamboo, and muted walnut tones blend effortlessly with micro-cement textures, woven textiles, and soft fabric upholstery. The tactile feeling should be comforting, grounded, and subtly luxurious. Everything should feel pleasant to the touch — not glossy or overly polished, but warm, matte, and refined. This approach reflects the quiet sophistication found in modern Singapore apartments, condominiums, and landed homes where space is optimized, clutter is controlled, and everything has a place. Lighting is one of the most important emotional elements. The mood should be soft and layered rather than bright and harsh. Warm lighting temperatures, recessed lighting lines, hidden LED strips, diffused glows behind panels, and gentle wall washes all contribute to a serene atmosphere. Natural light should be embraced: sheer curtains that allow sunlight to filter in softly, reflective surfaces that subtly brighten the room without overpowering it, and layouts that encourage open flow. The lighting design should feel calm, never clinical, and always supportive of relaxation and clarity. The emotional experience is one of quiet luxury — understated, peaceful, and timeless. It is a space where you instinctively feel lighter, clearer, and more grounded. The layout should prioritize openness and effortless movement. Storage should be invisible, integrated, and clean. Decorative elements should be minimal but meaningful. Spaces should evoke clarity rather than emptiness, comfort rather than complexity. This Singaporean minimalism isn’t about less for the sake of less; it is about creating a home or environment that feels breathable, intentional, and mentally freeing. It is simplicity with soul, calmness with character, and minimalism with warmth — the essence of refined modern living in Singapore.

Katelyn has been very patient with our requests and consistently acts on them promptly whenever something is raised. She provides professional aesthetic advice without being pushy, which makes discussions feel very comfortable. We also feel comfortable speaking with her which is something that gives us a strong sense of security. Overall, we appreciate her responsiveness and the assurance she brings as the project progresses.

I engaged Benny and Alvan for my home reno, and they are IDs who know their craft. Throughout the entire process, they offered practical recommendations that I wouldn’t have known on my own. They were able to propose solutions that made sense. They were always willing to accommodate my requests and went the extra mile to make things happen just the way I envisioned. Overall, I’m satisfied with the results and grateful for their hard work.

We are happy with the outcome of our renovation project with Mac. His patient and accommodating demeanor was a major plus point throughout the project, transforming what we have thought to be a typically stressful experience into a smoother one by ensuring we felt comfortable with every decision. We appreciate his fast response time to our communications. Furthermore, Mac has helped with coordinating and dealing with the various contractors, managing schedules, overseeing work, and engaging us in resolving any issues that arose. We appreciate all his efforts in the process and delivering the completed project.

Engaging Earth interior design was a huge mistake , lacking of discipline and coordination throughout the whole process. This revamp of my two bathroom project was taken noting that we are staying in the house and the mass amount of debris , equipments, water pails , big pile up of cement and tiles were scattered everywhere like a manufacturing factory .The designers are dressed very sloppily with T slippers and were seldom on site with supervision responsibilities. Anyways, it would not make any differences with a punch card attitude which I realised later on .. the plumbers refused to lay protection gear so we ended up with a faulty door with scratches and unable to close . There are hints of low quality job like constant dragging of job completion time frame , undelivered 3D design , scarce communication job requirements with their plumbing and tiling foreign workers which we thought it is just hiccups along the way . The decision to end the project despite incomplete renovations was when we entrusted them with our house , the door was left open and the tiler decided to raise a big , ugly , outdated shower kerb to his liking . The whole thing was a add on disaster when the “hulk @ Lloyd came into this project with directive commands to his team to stop all works threatening to leave all the debris , equipment and others in my house defending the grave mistakes. The poor workmanship of cracking and uneven tiles on the bathroom , poor plumbing works was a far sight of what we saw at the showroom .. up to now , my two bathrooms are incomplete and the same way as it is but we are glad to end this devastating experience.

We have came across Ciseern by chance after speaking to close to 7 ID firms. We were welcomed by Cindy Teong, the first meet up was nothing short of a simple introduction of their showroom, materials that they used and the wide selection of brands that they work with. With a run through of their various packages and no up-selling, we told Cindy that we wanted to do a simple renovation with just tiles and Kitchen fixtures. The rest of the furniture would it from IKEA/Taobao. To our surprise, she actually agreed to our decision(We actually have 2 firms where we saw their face changed). Fast forward to close to 1 & half year later we were finally getting our keys and Cindy wasted no time at all to arrange for us to confirm on the materials, paint colours, confirming layouts and electrical points. A process in which seems overwhelming for first time home owners but she made it so easy for us. During the renovation, although simple, she would constantly keep us updated on the timeline and process of the works so we're well updated. Fast forward 2months later, During the process of handover there were no rush moments that we felt and while no renovation is ever perfect Cindy is always ready to make it as perfect as it can be. There is always one sentence that Cindy said that made us believe that our decision to go with Ciseern is the the choice. She said; if the thing is done by us, we will confirm follow-through to the end to make it perfect for you. WE'RE READY to receive the place that we would be calling home. Lastly thank you Cindy for the smooth delivery of beautiful home that you created for us. And we like to wish you a smooth delivery too!

After shortlisting two IDs recommended by Qanvast, I decided to go with Darwin Interior, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. From the very first consultation, Jill was attentive, patient, and fully committed to understanding my needs. She listened closely to my preferences and always offered practical, stylish, and well-thought-through solutions. Whenever I had concerns, she provided multiple options and explained them clearly, which gave me great peace of mind. Her attention to detail, project coordination, and communication were consistently excellent throughout the renovation. The carpenter was equally impressive — very experienced and proactive in suggesting functional improvements that elevated the overall design. The workmanship was meticulous, and the final outcome truly exceeded my expectations. My home now feels warm, modern, and perfectly tailored to my lifestyle. If you go for Zoel as your ID, you will have a smooth and enjoyable journey. We met about 6 to 7 IDs before confirming Zoel. During the consultation phase, he offered very good suggestions on house layout, and counter-proposed solutions to our initial ideas. He also proactively offered options on the quality of materials to use, to ensure that we get the best out of our budget. During the reno, he was actively updating us on the progress, and was very helpful in guiding us on the design and colours. He was also very patient and followed us to the tile shop multiple times until we got what we wanted. During the final phase, he also promptly fixed the minor defects. The home turned out exactly like what we wanted. Workmanship is excellent too. Very competent, professional and helpful ID. Go for Zoel for a fuss and stress free Reno with very good outcome.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Zelyn from Inizio Atelier for our home renovation, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out! From our very first discussion, Zelyn impressed us with her keen eye for detail and her ability to understand exactly the style and atmosphere we wanted for our home. She took our initial ideas, some clear, some quite vague and transformed them into a cohesive, beautifully designed space that truly reflects who we are. One of our favorite parts of the renovation is the toilet, which perfectly captures the balance between elegance and practicality. Zelyn helped us piece together a beautiful combination of green subway tiles and grey floor tiles, accented with subtle metallic strip details that give the space a polished, refined touch. Had a great experience working with Benjamin On from Massing Design. He has been a patient and helpful ID since Day 1; even before we confirm having him as our ID. From the start, he didn’t pressure us in any way and hence that was the reason we choose him. During the renovation, all things which needed us to confirm (on placements, colour choices etc) are seamless and he makes things very easy for us understand and the best part, he delivered!! The whole process took about 2 months which he also progressively update us on the progress of the renovation which makes us feel good that we are aware of the day to day update. The renovation are over but we are still in touch with him as a friend instead. Really blessed to have a friendly, honest and most importantly relatable and reliable ID which gives us a good experience.
