Nice interiors can translate into good business, too!
Having good food or products is, of course, the fundamental way to get business, but don’t underestimate the importance of a well-designed interior! Having an Instagrammable cafe or store is a fantastic way of getting your business on social media and increasing brand awareness.

F&B:
1. Epigram Coffee Bookshop – The Local INN.terior
Coffee lovers and bookworms love the Epigram Coffee Bookshop, and for good reason. Nestled away in the Singapore Art Museum, this cosy bookshop designed by The Local INN.terior is nothing short of warm and welcoming – a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.
2. PYROAST – Azcendant
It's all about the coffee in PYROAST, and Azcendant made sure to put the spotlight on the drinks by designing the interior in a dark minimalist fashion. With the store’s clean, sleek look, customers are free to fully enjoy their drink of choice without distraction – and use the interior as a cool clutter-free backdrop for their social media.
3. Cafe Kreams – Gridline Design
With an interior like the one in Cafe Kreams, there’s no need for your customers to head overseas to enjoy autumn!
The foliage in various autumnal shades, coupled with the strategically-placed tree trunks, is a true testament to Gridline Design’s attention to detail, and helps to establish a strong branding that makes the store easily recognisable on social media.
4. Club di Lusso – Mr Shopper Studio
Club di Lusso is where the most elite Singaporeans gather, and the interior reflects that. This private luxury club has multiple lounges, private rooms, and alfresco areas with a stunning panoramic view of the city skyline… as well as a rich, modern-luxe interior put together by Mr Shopper Studio that reflects its lavish nature.
5. Homeground Coffee Roasters – Fineline Design
Homeground Coffee Roasters isn’t just known for great coffee, but the ambience, too. Collaborating with fellow design firm Tsukurto, the folks at Fineline Design went with a serene Japandi interior as well as unique communal-style seating, all of which creates a tranquil vibe perfect for anyone looking to wind down after a long day.
Retail
6. The Pets Workshop – Happe Design Atelier
While grooming pets can be a messy job, the interior of The Pets Workshop does not reflect that in the slightest. Instead, it boasts a clean, monochromatic theme with quirky geometric tiles to give it character, courtesy of the designers from Happe Design Atelier.
7. WaistLab – Ascend Design
Situated in the heart of Bugis lies Waistlab – a shapewear company with a luxurious-looking boutique they call home. With its plethora of velvety colours, decorative details, and warm lighting, Ascend Design did a great job of creating a space that customers can feel comfortable in.
Salons
8. Blush Official – Design 4 Space
Doing beauty treatments like facials and lash lifts can be fun, so it’s only natural that Design 4 Space chose to incorporate various pastel colours to evoke positivity within their customers.
9. Bright Salon – Birch Tree.co
Boasting sky-high ceilings and full-height windows, Bright Salon is definitely a place you can relax in while getting your hair done.
Opting for a soothing nature-inspired theme, Birch Tree.co thoughtfully paired light wood with various shades of green, while also injecting luxurious elements like backlit mirrors to reflect the royalty treatment you’ll get when you’re there.
10. byCaxs Doll Parlour – Gentlemen Crafts
Ladies, this salon is dedicated just for you. Using an all-pink interior and bright spotlights, Gentlemen Crafts recreates a lavish vibe that immediately appeals to girly girls, with curved walls and arches for extra visual oomph.

Offices
11. IQ Dynamics – HOFT
The upside of having an office in an industrial building is the size, and HOFT chose to emphasise this with a spacious open-concept layout, complete with communal seating areas (and even an island!).
Having tons of cosy areas and seating allows the employees to host celebrations amongst themselves for camaraderie, and also creates a comfortable setting for clients who come over for meetings. .
Of note are the meeting rooms, which are separated by glass panels instead of regular walls. Doing so doesn’t just help to keep meetings contained within their respective rooms, but also prevents employees from feeling boxed in.
12. An investment consulting firm – Bowerman
WFH is a normal thing now, but if we had an office like this, we wouldn’t mind heading down everyday! Designed by Bowerman, this gorgeous office is full of design elements influenced by local culture, which is no doubt also inspired by the conservation shophouse it’s located in.
