Engaged Absolook 3 years ago for my new bto flat. Got a built in wardrobe and kitchen. About 6 months ago (about 2.5years), my wardrobe track started to spoil. Absolook said that all their built in stuff came with 5 years warranty but when we asked them about this they said it’s due to wear and tear and quoted us a ridiculous amount to fix it. We engaged an external carpenter and got it fixed with $50. But the carpenter said that the door was too heavy because of the mirror hence the track could not take the weight. So firstly our ID did not have enough experience to know this, and also they were not covering this under their so called warranty. Recently (3 years after reno), our entire kitchen cabinet door came off as well. Asked them about it again and they once again mentioned that hinges are not included under warranty because it’s often used. So what even is covered in their warranty? And why isit only the built in stuff that is all spoiling? I believe the workmanship and quality of things are not good. Apparently this is their warranty for carpentry: 1) Warranty is applicable to Mechanism / Ironmongery used on all Carpentry Works - For warranty information on BLUM / BOXX products, please refer to the manufacturer's warranty - 1-year warranty is applicable to all other brands 2) 5-year warranty is applicable to the following workmanship issues: - Cabinets that have dropped - Laminates / Internal PVC that have peeled off - Shelves that have dropped/broken but their CSO made me wait 2 days and then told me I had to pay $90 just to fix the cupboard. I would not recommend anyone to engage this firm because we didn’t have a very good experience during the renovation process and after sales service is literally zero.
