I met Fineline ID at the Qanvast hangout session in Feb 2022. I met 2 other company Ids and decided to go with Fineline Design. After a few rounds of discussions, the reno works started end of May 2022. The whole reno completed end Sept 2022. There are 2 Fineline IDs assigned to my reno project. Reno requirements: whole kitchen, new cabinet, whole house electrical wiring & piping, fix walls, painting, all doors& frame replacements and polishing of floor. They are prompt in their response and provide design samples, cabinet materials, paint, etc. They resolve issues fast. There are areas of improvements where it can be better. Communication: Between client and ID to the contractors. I have communicated a number of times on the cabinet design and provide sample pictures. Before and during the cabinet was fabricated. I was informed written confirmation that it can be changed/adjusted later. The request was to have 2 level of dish shelves like any other cabinet design but to know later that if I want an additional dish shelf they need to redo the whole cabinet with extra charge and more days to setup. This was disappointing. Improvement on attention to details: On the cabinet counter top, I was informed to go to the site myself without the ID and with no appointment. Not knowing what to expect, I ask the vendor what I need to know. When I selected the samples, the ID ask me if I want to change the material. My thoughts, we engaged the ID as someone who has knowledge in this business and provide suggestions on the materials, assist in building our home. Why do I need to do it myself? The IDs did contacted the vendor back to get the material they recommended to me. More transparency on the quotations and processes : On the backsplash, from what I know I purchase the whole slab but I was informed to add extra cost for 1m wall when during the purchase the vendor mentioned that there are ample material from the slab that was purchased and the ID was present at that time. The workmanship is ok, the whole unit clean up was not thorough, harden plaster are still visible when I moved back to my unit. Overall it was ok.
