I had the most horrible renovation experience with Livspace. I had signed the contract in September 2022, finalised design and materials by second week of October, and my ID had promised to handover the house to me before Christmas in 2022. It got delayed by 5 months, was handed over only in May 2023. In total, from the time I engaged my ID on 1 September to finally getting my house back in May 2023, IT TOOK 9 MONTHS. There is a lack of honesty and integrity in work ethics and professionalism. Large amounts of delay and inefficiencies from the ID side as well as the finance side. The fact that there is a grievance team should be a very big red flag. Even when I escalated the case, one of my escalation only got a response 10 days later. In addition, Livspace requires a 100% payment before the fabrication of the carpentry, while most other companies do keep a 5-10% amount to be paid upon project completion. In the case where 100% payment was made, and yet the contractors such as the tiler, carpenter and painters mentioned that they cant start work because they have yet to receive payment from Livspace, this leaves consumer totally helpless. Escalation did not work. Endless chasing of the ID and later on, even changing the person in charge of the project did not help either because the inefficiency was at both the manager's approval side as well as the finance side to release the funds. (Not to mention, even at the very last stage of cleaning, the cleaning company at the very last minute decided not to turn up the next day because they did not receive payment for the work) Engaging Livspace to renovate my new place is so big a mistake that I feel compelled to warn other potential consumers to think carefully before making any decision to engage them.
Hi June, we have highlighted this to our designated team and we assure you that our team is currently looking into it as we speak. Please allow us the time and our team will connect with you with an update.
