the team of Toke, Julian and Devia is young, clearly passionate and as can be seen through their portfolios, certainly masterful in transforming houses to homes - beautiful and functional ones at that. however, the journey is as important as the output. despite already having a strong design identity and initial proposals at our second meeting (before confirmation), the team continued to probe through quite a long ideation process throughout the reno, with multiple rounds of discussion and deep diving, to really tease out and clarify what we, as homeowners, really wanted. in some ways, this keenness to really put out something that reflects the homeowners’ personalities, needs and wants and not just wanting a quick templated get it over and done with kind of reno felt comforting. Julian was also very hands-on to remediate issues along the way. beyond that, what really cemented (pun intended) our decision to go with Toke & Chen was the confidence in their design and eventual execution. still rem Toke telling us that we are free to take away their initial layout proposals (printed single sided in A3 no less) and mood board because they are that confident. and they delivered. anyways, proof is in the pudding. we hope you enjoy the photos of our lovely home as much as we love staying in it and creating beautiful memories. lastly, thank you, Toke, Julian and Devia for the wonderful co-creation journey. https://www.tokeandchen.com/ren-apartment
It is kind words like this that make everything worthwhile. Thank you :-)
