My husband and I bought our 4 room HDB resale flat despite its odd-shaped floor plan due to its convenient location. We were confident that an experienced ID would be able to creatively address the dead corners in our house and that ID was Katherine for us. Having shopped around for several renovation quotes before deciding, we were most impressed with Katherine's attention to detail, response time and quick thinking. Her proposed plans made the odd corners disappear to the point where guests have exclaimed "Got meh?", and we love that "cozy" and "homely" are how our mid-century modern home is described. As first-time homeowners, we were green and unsure of what to expect. But Katherine put us at ease and she even went the extra mile to propose the placement of loose furniture in her quotation where other firms we spoke to only covered fixed carpentry. This helped us to visualize and better plan the functionality of our space before making big purchases. We also appreciate that Katherine was upfront in sharing her professional advice along the way and we saved on unnecessary enhancements as a direct result. One example that stood out for us was when we wanted to do an arch walkway. While other IDs would have probably jumped at the opportunity to earn more, Katherine took the initiative to share with us the pros and cons before we eventually decided against it; this for us showed that she has her clients' best interests at heart. Project timeline was impeccably planned and a day-by-day breakdown is provided so that you'll never have to ask what is being done and when. While we've heard of friends who had to chase their IDs for renovation updates, there was never a need to do that with Katherine because she would regularly share onsite photos with us. In totality, our renovation took 1.5 months and there was no delay. It has been about three weeks since project handover and Katherine still remains very contactable and ready to share advice whenever. Having read and heard many renovation horror stories, we are incredibly thankful that we got Katherine and have already recommended her to our friends looking to renovate. It feels great coming home to a space that my husband and I love very much.
